R/R: My only rant is that it is Monday already! Lots of raves. We had a great weekend. We went to the drive in on Saturday and saw the lion king. I know there is a lot of hate about it online but I loved it! I want to try to get some morning BD in this cycle but we get up so early already. DH is off today so we took advantage since we had extra time. Probably too early in my cycle to even count but it still makes me feel like we are doing something different!

CS/Q: That Sunday temp is so low. I’ve never had a temp that low.

@bows22 glad you had a good weekend! I need to see The Lion King... everyone I talked to about it said it was great, but it seems all the negative is online. So I’m glad to hear another positive review!

R/R: With the extreme heat last week, FF gave me CH on Wednesday. So I moved to TWW only to get a peak reading and +OPK yesterday 🤦🏼‍♀️ So it’s O day today! Lol, but I’ll wait for CH to move over.

Kind of crabby this morning! I started weight watchers last week to lose about 25 pounds, and I weighed myself this morning and I’ve gained a half a pound! What?! I’m so mad! Ugh!

CS/Q: temp drop told me O day is today and wasn’t yesterday. Let’s keep this good timing train going! April 2020 or bust!

@ejoseph16 I’m so glad for the O fake out so that you could get better timing! That would make me really mad about the weight gain too. Makes no sense! But I’m sure you will start to see results soon. And yes definitely see The Lion King. I can kind of see where the critics are coming from after reading their reviews but I didn’t think of any of that while I was watching it, it was just a really enjoyable movie.

@ejoseph16 happy O day! Isn’t being a woman wonderful? DH could eat healthy for a week and lose 5# and I either wouldn’t lose any or gain. It makes no sense. Can’t wat to join the April BMB with you!!! Your timing looks great!

WAYDTGKU: letrozole, don’t know if I should do anything else?

R/R: I was pretty bummed to get AF this weekend in the middle of a shit storm so I didn’t really have a second to grieve. I guess it’s really happening, we officially can’t get KU without help. I just hope this does the trick- also I just realized I should be starting it today so I’m hoping I don’t have a ton of side effects. We move offices today so I’m hopeful that our new floor will be nicer than the last 2- at the very least, at least the skeleton crew who’s continuing to work in the office and not moving to full time WFH will all be sitting together. I know this is probably shocking but my coworker who’s never there is moving to full time WFH.

CS/Q: I’ll probably post this in the IF thread too but if you’ve taken clomid or letrozole and were monitored, did you still do OPKs / BBT?

Month/Cycle: 12/4 AL

WAYDTGKU: PNV, BBT (trying a new Bluetooth one this month), FF, OPKs, Softcups, trying to drink more water, trying not to lose my mind.

R/R: Fridge is broken again. I feel numb to bad things that keep happening at this point. Decided to just move everything back into the spare, leave an annoyed message with the appliance repair company, and just go enjoy my weekend anyway. We spent just about the whole thing on the lake. The beach at my parents' condo association has a big tree that provides shade, and with a bit of a breeze by the water, it made the scorching heat bearable. We went out on the boat and jumped off that a bunch, too. So great weekend, but then I slept like crap last night... probably didn't fall asleep until 1 and then didn't get up for my walk at 5 as a result. My new Ninja coffee bar came and I. AM. IN. LOVE. Seriously. So far I've only made a cappuccino, cold brew, and regular coffee, but OMG it's so good. I bought some decaf coffee for it just so I can play with all the things and not drink too much caffeine, haha. My MIL is staying with us this weekend and I am so full of dread. I know she's going to harass us about having a baby and I might just snap with everything going on in our lives right now. That was a roller coaster of rants and raves, hah.

Good morning, ladies!

WAYDTGKU: Prenatal vitamins, Fertility Friend, temping, OPKs, observing CM, progesterone post-O

R/R: The 100+ weather has broken and we're back to 80s. Despite the heat, DH and I rallied to HIO twice over the weekend. Today I have to catch up on some housework (too hot the last few days), run to the craft store (yay!), and try to finish my book before I have to return it to the library. Busy day!

CS/Q: FF gave me dotted crosshairs this AM but I am pretty sure the higher temps were due to the heatwave and no AC in the bedroom. I didn't have EWCM and yesterday's OPKs looked positive or close to it. Once I put in a +OPK the crosshairs went away. FF, take a damn seat. I know my body!

@bows22 glad you had such a great weekend! I'm glad Lion King was good. I probably won't see it in theaters. I'm still on Lion King over-load from directing the Broadway Junior version at school a few years ago. It'll still be a while before I can listen to "Hakuna Matata" again!

@shamrocandroll WTF to your refrigerator?! Glad that you love your new coffee maker, though! There's a silver lining. Jealous of your weekend at the lake! My dream is to buy a home on a lake someday. Even if I never swim in it, just to sit on the back porch and look out at the water...heaven!

@emeraldduchess Holy crap... you HIO in this heat wave with NO AC!? You da real MVP! MH and I DTD last night (non-FW so we could enjoy it a bit before the crazy kicks in) and I STILL complained about being hot, haha. Yes, the house on a lake was a big time dream of mine. We told our realtor that was our pipe dream and he made it happen! I don't ever want to move again until we're old and can't handle the winters anymore. And by then, I'm really hoping we can maybe own my parents' condo across the lake (they copied us and bought on the same lake after us) so we can have a place to spend the summer.

@shamrocandroll I grew up in a small coastal town and a lot of people think it's weird that I'd rather live near a lake than the ocean. I think in my case familiarity breeds contempt? I'm really not a big beach person (ocean-wise) and I've seen lots of homes destroyed in coastal storms. Hard pass on the ocean front property from me. I like that live within 20 minutes of the ocean, but I don't want to live right next to it.

@emeraldduchess I'm with you! I hate the ocean beach. I don't like swimming in salt water and then the feeling of having sand and salt stuck to my skin after. Plus I'm very fair skinned, so I don't do sunbathing. I love swimming in a good, clear lake, though! And no worrying about storms or sharks or jellyfish or crabs or any of that! I do love the sound of the ocean, though.

@emeraldduchess oh, FF... those dotted crosshairs! Mine disappeared literally the next day. 🤣😂 I showed MH the peak reading on my expensive OPK, and he’s been all about HIO! Hahaha! This is the first month he has been excited about knowing where I am in my cycle. I’ll take it! Onward to April 2020! (I must say, I’m impressed at how positive we have all stayed, lol)

R/R: We basically hid inside the house, the heat index was dangerously high this weekend. I went to the grocery store at one point and the entire city looked like the Walking Dead - no one around, roads empty, shopping carts everywhere. I did get a good amount of knitting done though - I'll post a pic in the crafting thread - and we finished Veronica Mars Season 4. Any other VMars fans? I NEED to discuss with someone!

CS/Q: Nope, my chart makes me sad right now lol.

WAYDTGKU: FET in September

R/R: weekend was not long enough in my opinion 😆 finally did laundry for the first time after being back from vacation. Ugh lol. On the plus side, DH worked on fixing the wall for our IKEA TV stand that mounts to the wall. It's been months since we first noticed it was nearly falling off. We finally purchased a new sound system since the old one is like.... 8 years old or something. We'll be mounting the TV stand in a much more secure way this time. For some reason the IKEA cabinet had 4 mounting points that didn't align with what the typical stud spacing is so we had it originally mounted with only drywall screws. The screws were fine and did their job, but the drywall itself failed. It will be nice to have that fixed and we should have our outdoor patio furniture in about a week 😁

R/R: Still here b/c I'm still not confident about O (usually day 19ish recently) but did just have EWCM from Thurs-Sunday and not what I'd call a peak OPK but they've been high the past couple days? I dunno, hopefully I'll get some clarity today. Anyway we had mostly a busy weekend hosting SO's friend and going to a fair/carnival yesterday followed by a super lazy Sunday afternoon holed up with our air conditioner and binging Beverly Hills 90210. We haven't done that in forever and it was my favorite part of the weekend!

CS/Q: This cycle is just one big ??? but not really!

I'm on sleeve island for my friend's baby sweater. I'm making the 3 month size and it's sock yarn and I dropped stitches 3 freaking times on the cuff of the first sleeve yesterday, THEN I had to frog the bind-off because it wasn't stretchy enough. I'm taking a sleeve break today and working on a square for my aran knit blanket instead.
What blanket pattern are you making? Honestly, you can never have enough blankets!!!

@mvt2003 the only sweaters I will make are straight-up rectangles pieced together! I hate working with sock yarn. It's like knitting with spaghetti! I am going to make a simple garter stitch blanket with ombre stripes (white, blue, gray). Super easy, super quick. My cousin lives in California but everyone needs at least one thick, squishy blanket!

@bows22 The #1 reason I'm so upset about my fridge being broken again is the spare fridge only has one ice cube tray, so it takes me like 2 days to make enough ice to brew a carafe of cold brew in my fancy new coffee maker! @photographerwife I've been coveting one for a while, and I managed to get it down about $100 with Kohl's coupons, so I went for it.

Also, I think it really depends on the lake. I grew up in the MA suburbs where you really wouldn't want to swim in any of the lakes. But here in NH they're so clear and surrounded by mountains and just beautiful! For the 3ish months out of the year that you can swim in them, anyway.

Going to fold like 5 loads of laundry now..
