Re: WTF Wednesday 7.17

  • @inthewoods23 Oh absolutely. This one isn't one of my "normal" spots - that's usually my chin or my upper lip, charmingly. It's going to be more of a cyst than a whitehead though, which makes it extra bad.

  • 100% @inthewoods23. Fert drugs have made it worse for me too. I’ve switched to only using cetaphil for washing, oil free moisturizers for day time, and a glycolic acid for treatment every now and again. #backtobasics

  • @mvt2003 almost all my between the brow zits are the under the skin, painful cystic type acne. And I'm such a picker at times too.

@chichiphin Cetaphil is what I'm currently using too! But some places I've read online say that it is actually really bad for you. I know there's parabens in it which are controversial. I don't remember if the issue is solely an ingredients thing.

I have had really good luck using CeraVe moisturizer recently! My skin is so much softer and much more hydrated now. I was using glycolic acid for a while but have been out of it and need to bring it back in to my routine.

  • @inthewoods23 @chichiphin I feel like I break out whenever I use Cetaphil, I'm loving the Neutrogena Hydro Boost line. And I'm faithful to Oil of Olay moisturizer.

  • @mvt2003 I was using that moisturizer too and loved it but then I realized it has silicones in it and decided I didn't want that on my face. I loved that it was a moisturizer that didn't irritated my face and turn it red

  • @inthewoods23 Ha MH would love it if I switched - he despises the smell of it. I've always used it because that's what my mom and grandma both used. I'm sure it's got tons of not-fun stuff in it. I should probably look for an alternative at some point.

Also, in the interim of this pimple convo I went to the work bathroom and discovered one on my upper lip under my nose. Womp womp.

  • @bows22 It brings me great joy knowing that I can wreak havoc even when I'm not around!   But for serious, sorry about the email drama. That just sounds annoying!!!
  • WTF to these workers who don’t actually work?! That would drive me insane.

@NYTino24 according to this, all my zits are related to my hormones and my reproductive organs. Well damn. :#
    Edit: spelling
  • @chichiphin Kind of makes sense considering you’re doing your special diet. Hopefully it helps!
@emeraldduchess Mine are hormonal, stress, and kidneys. (My kidneys and liver always test just enough off for docs to comment, but not actually do anything.)
