@begging4abump I second Jennifer in looking at second opinions. They can request your records from this doc and review everything and consult. Any reason why IUIs wouldn’t be tried prior to IVF if you have good sperm??
@emeraldduchess you’re right, it’s not the first time. I just kept hoping that each time was the last time I’d have to go to a RE, and then I think, “well it’s just once more, I can put up with it.” Edited for grammar @jennifer_louise yes, I’m sure there are plenty of other options. I just need to start checking around to see who is available and associated with my insurance. @chichiphin I thought about iui later and wondered why he hadn’t mentioned it, but I think it’s moot because I think mh is opposed. At least he was the last time we talked through it. Just getting the sa was a big-to-do, so I don’t see mh getting on board.
I think my plan is to allow some wallowing today and make a plan this weekend.
@chichiphin With differing beliefs and perspectives, the answer to your question is a little scary for me to answer because I have no desire to have anyone get riled up about a differing viewpoint. I like this being a safe place. I know that we like for this to be an honest place too, so I’ll put the answer here since you asked, but I’m definitely not looking to butt heads. And I want to be clear and reiterate that I’m anxiously awaiting good news from you and keiki and everyone else here!
He’s been very fixated on following catholic teachings, and my understanding of his understanding is that the church wants children born out of the act of physical union of husband and wife (sex), with no intermediary.I mean, I had to keep reminding him that my laparoscopy was medically necessary.
I can’t say that his stance matches mine, but I also don’t want to carry through with something that he and I can’t agree on...and I’d need his consent...and *ahem* stuff anyway. All that being said, I am not trying to ruffle any feathers and I’m 100% hoping for great outcomes for EVERYONE on this forum.
@BusinessWife and her DH had similar concerns/discussions it might be worth PMing her to see how they were able to reconcile their faith with ART. Maybe it would help you and your DH.

Zero judgement from me @begging4abump! I know MH is against ever knowing the gender of embryos if we have to do IVF, so I get it in a very minor way. I’m glad Wabash can point you to someone who might offer some support in that area
@begging4abump oh my gosh no of course you wouldn't get kicked out!
DH and I seem to be of different opinions regarding what we'll do with any leftover embryos when we decide we're done having kids. We've got a few years before we'll need to actually make that decision though but still...

@begging4abump I think you should definitely switch if you aren’t comfortable, and make an appointment sooner rather than later since waits and cycles can take time. Consistency and clarity are so important! Luckily you’ve gotten a lot of testing done and can take the data / records elsewhere. I seriously regret not switching OBs, and that could have / almost did have some pretty bad consequences. @chichiphin@keikilove I hope you both get some great news on the same day!!

@begging4abump Agree it is time for a second opinion. Have you heard of Nancy's Nook on FB? I heard it is a good place to find a doctor for endo. There is something called NanoTechnology (I think??) That is supposedly good for endo, have you heard of it? Anyway, if you go to Matt and Dorees Eggcelent Adventures FB group (based on their podcast) you can probably find more info. Good luck!
I got a notification that my genetic screening wad normal 🙌😇 Thanks for asking.
@chichiphin and @keikilove I am thinking of you and sending you loads of positive thoughts.
AFM, we are still benched this cycle. We will TTC naturally next cycle. We will probably try an IUI in September and if that doesnt work maybe IVF.
My music camp starts on Monday (I am the only teacher all day with an intern--wish me luck) IL's are visiting and we are also celebrating MH 40th birthday so I will be busy but will try to pop in and check on everyone!

@begging4abump my family is very Catholic so we’re trying to opening discuss with family yet also being considerate of other beliefs. It’s so difficult and adds another worry/stress but I hope it just works as needed
AFM: my hysteroscopy went well yesterday! I had scar tissue (or what looked like scar tissue) from who-knows-what that they removed. It’ll get sent to pathology just in case, but she wasn’t too concerned about it. I had some bleeding yesterday but not too much. Also, the doctor gave me some IV ibuprofen last night so I felt fine and went to bed early! Now we move on to deciding between oral meds more, injectables, or IVF.
@mokay19 I’m glad it went well and hope the pathology report comes back clean! @bobbyflies2020 Good luck with your camp. Hope the temps are decent if you are outside. Woohoo for good genes.
It was 100 out today. Went to see a friend near the shore area today and it took forever to get there. Luckily they had a pool and shade. It also was a decent drive home. I have been so ragey towards DH this weekend for his disrespect towards my time and plans, so I’m glad today ended on a more positive note.

@mokay19 I'm glad the procedure went well! How long do you have to wait for the pathology report to come back?
@begging4abump absolutely no judgement here. I think we all know decisions about IF treatment are incredibly personal whether or not we have religious beliefs to consider.
@bobbyflies2020 so glad your genetic results came back normal! Good luck with your camp next week.
@keikilove@chichiphin FX the time between now and your testing goes by fast and you both get the best news ever!
@NYTino24 I'm glad you had a nice visit with your friend despite the horrible heat.
AFM, all my initial RPL testing is already up on the patient portal (except karyotyping) and everything is normal. Still waiting to O, hopefully the progesterone the RE ordered gets here in time.
@emeraldduchess I’m sure you feel relieved and also frustrated at the same time. I hope you get your progesterone fast and that it works.

Thanks, @NYTino24. As much as I would like answers, I am relieved to rule out so much. I hope I won't need blood work again for a while. This month alone they've taken 11 vials in 3 weeks. My arms are quite bruised and sore!
@emeraldduchess honestly, now that you mention it, I don’t know. I would assume it’s “no news is good news” but I don’t know when that timeframe passes. I have a post-op scheduled for 2 weeks from Monday so maybe I’ll hear then... good question though! I’ll have to ask DH if she said something while I was still loooooopy.
@begging4abump I agree with others about getting a second opinion. I did three rounds of Clomid with IUI before we found out that I had endometriosis. Once my RE found the endo she told me she was switching me to Letrozole because the increased estrogen from Clomid just exacerbates the endo even more and endo patients tend to have more success with Letrozole.
