With all the sales happening right now, what are y’all buying?
I haven’t seen anything on Amazon I can’t live without, I need to scope out the Target sale.
For those wanting to cloth diaper, The Fluffy Penguin (aka my all time fav) is having a Penguin Days sale. That’s the only sale so far where I’m for sure placing an order lol
@kbrown2385 and @MrsJessS there's nothing on amazon right now that I'm totally impressed with. I've browsed and put a few things in my cart to see if the price eventually get a better deal but I haven't bought anything yet.
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k mine's one of the higher end ones 960 or something. But it's only cuz my mom bought it for me. I would have just gone with the 690 if I had gotten it for myself LOL.
Finally found one of the heartbeats on the Doppler tonight! It was moving all over so hard to get a good read on it. I could have listened to it for hours.
But I just found out the Bio-oil for stretch marks and scars is on sale for $23 (usually like $36)! It smells great and I’ve started using it to prevent stretch marks.
DH & I went out for dinner last night to a place ive been wanting to try since it opened about 4 months ago. It does a 6 course tasting menu and changes the theme every month. This month the theme is Thai street food & it was fantastic! Totally taking advantage of my parents having dd all week!
I started reading July and August BMB's birth stories, I know it's super early but reading all the different scenario's makes me feel more prepared and I love hearing the stories
@leprechaunlady That sounds awesome! I love Thai. There were awesome Thai places by my apartment when we were living in New York. Where I live now, there is nothing and it makes me so sad
So we are building a house, signed the contract in March before I was even pregnant. It got held up in permiting by the municipality and now we are behind schedule. Just found out that without any other major delays, we are probably going to close in January! I cried. We moved about 2 months before DD was born and that was stressful but ended up being fine. I don't know how I am going to manage moving with a newborn. Plus, I am being overly emotional thinking about not having his/her nursery done before and doing everything after.
Just got approved to be part time (30 hour) after coming back from maternity leave!!! This is literally a dream come true. I get to be both a working mom, but still have the afternoons like a SAHM!
@marebear15 I love sharing mine too. I honestly found that by ready all the birth stories I could find (from good to bad) helped me prepare for actual birth the first time. No one ever shares the nitty gritty but that’s what gets you through, or simple tips that help!
@jaceru that sucks about the house! We’ve just bought a new house off plan & it wont be ready until “spring” next year which im thinking will be may or june so I completely understand the frustration!
@marebear15 that's great about the part time hours. i do a 30 hour week aswell since i went back after having dd. my make up is that i dropped a day, im definitely not cut out to be a sahm & enjoy my job but having a friday off is such a lovely balance!
@marebear15, I see you got that thread started. I'm glad. I love telling mine, too, because it's so funny in places. Give birth wearing a Tommy Hilfiger shirt and bra, pushing in the hallway while telling an OB dr you're just fine, thank you!
