Re: TWW Thursday 7/18
CD/DPO: CD25/11DPO
Timing: CD11, CD13, CD14 (confirmed ovulation on CD14)
Typical LP length: 11-13, this is my first month using bbt so it's my first time actually confirming ovulation with a temp rise. Until now I've been guesstimating my LP based on OPK's.
Testing: I'll be waiting until a missed period in potentially 3 days, if that ever happens (just kidding I'll start testing frantically once I get my period as I have done in the past trying to convince myself it's not a 'real' period 🙉). Though I hope I have the fortitude to wait it out and have some acceptance this time round.
R/R: I love podcasts, my commute to and from work is roughly an hour each way and they can really help me switch off from my job. But alas, I feel like I have listened to all of them, I particularly love true crime ones! Now I have to wait each week for one episode from favourites, patience was never a strength of mine!
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD/DPO: 15/1 (though FF says 3DPO)
Timing: -3 (FF says -1)
Typical LP length: 15ish days
Testing: Not for a while yet
R/R: Still frustrated with MH's lack of interest in BDing during the week. At this rate, if we only HIO on weekends, we're never going to get KU.
CS/Q: What is a more reliable predictor for O - a positive OPK or temp rise? If we go based on BBT I O'ed on Monday, which would put our timing as excellent (-1), but based on the positive OPK I got on Tuesday, I O'ed yesterday, which means our timing wasn't so great (-3). And I know I have dotted CH because of this conflict in data, so IDK. Whatevs.
Due with baby #2: Feb 2022
@ttcbabyodo I’m sorry about YH’s lack of interest. A more reliable predictor is a +OPK because a temp rise happens after O and basically just gives you a retrospective day for ovulation. I feel like FF could be right on O day because my basic understanding of BBT is that it rises after the egg is released, plus your CM changed from fertile to non. When did you do the OPK(s) on CD 12? You could’ve tested in the middle of your LH rise on CD 13- FX!
edited- forgot to put my stuff!
Month/Cycle: 20/21
CD/DPO: 25/12
Timing: great
Typical LP length: 14-15
Testing: BFN yesterday so probably just WFAF
R/R: the RE appointment went well yesterday (update in the IF thread) so I’m happy about that! My cousins are coming to visit me tonight - Sunday. I feel bad that I’ll have to leave them for a while for DH’s “step grandpa” funeral services but they should be able to entertain themselves for a while. It’s my WFH day but it’s full of back to back meetings, so that’s lame.
CS/Q: another restless night. I seriously hate summer and when it’s disgustingly hot weather like this.
Due with baby #2: Feb 2022
Due with baby #2: Feb 2022
Month/Cycle: 14/9/4 AL
CD/DPO: 20/3
Timing: Good
Typical LP length: 14-16
Testing: BW tomorrow to confirm O...then will WFAF.
R/R: It’s almost the weekend...and my boss is out tomorrow and most of next week! He isn’t a micro-manager or anything, but it’s always more relaxed when he is out!
CS/Q: No, just happy to get CH’s this morning!
@whattheavocado I feel ya on the testing when AF arrives...I test basically to make sure I’m ok to start meds again, but I always have a glimmer of hope to see a positive even though it’s clear AF has arrived! That is a long commute...have you tried audio books?
@ttcbabyodo sorry your DH still isn’t cooperating during the week. Fingers crossed FF is correct and your O was on Monday!
@b_1029 so happy your RE appt. went well yesterday! Hopefully your cousins will understand and can entertain themselves for a bit...sorry for your family’s loss!
Month/Cycle: 5/5
CD/DPO: 15/1
Timing: very good, EOD to ED. So far: -5, -3, -1, 0...
Not exactly sure of ovulation time, but cervical position and mucus consistency point to ovulation being yesterday. Definitely in the SHOW position! I'm finally starting to feel the differences in cervical position and texture at different times of the month, and it is so interesting!
Typical LP length: ~15 days
Testing: Will likely wait until I miss a period.
R/R:
Rant: It isn't Friday yet. :P
Rave: Plenty of BD/HIO this week! Despite my hubby being on overtime, we have made some extra time in the evenings for winding down (which sometimes leads to getting wound up in other ways LOL).

@ttcbabyodo Awww, sorry to hear about your hubby's lack of interest this go 'round. We have all been there! It is sometimes hard to take a step back and remember that they can have bad days/weeks/months too! Is there anything bothering him? Or is the TTGP process stressing him out in general? My hubby and I had to take a more casual approach because there was just WAY too much pressure with scheduled HIO/BDing.
@bluetickgal SO ready for this weekend too!
@b_1029 I feel you on the summer heat when trying to sleep! Blahhhhh! I've heard that taking a cold shower RIGHT before you get in the bed can help drop down your temp enough to help you relax?

@whattheavocado Ohhhhh super same. I have taken more than one test literally while I have AF "just in case".
@ttcbabyodo I agree with @bows22 and @b_1029 that I think you caught the end of the surge - go with the temps on this one. I also sympathize with mid-week BD issues! It helps for me that we're now so far into this that MH is now getting questions from people about when we'll have a baby, so he's feeling motivated about the topic lol.
@b_1029 I'm so happy you had a great appt - I'll jump to the IF thread to get the details. Thinking of you in this heat!
@bluetickgal It's such a relaxing feeling when the boss isn't in - even if they're a good boss! Great early start to the weekend!
@flowntheloop I'm so interested in cervical position! I feel like I still haven't gotten the hang of understanding it yet. Maybe next cycle!
Month/Cycle: 10/10
CD/DPO: 26/10
Timing: Good
Typical LP length: 12-14
Testing: Holding out for tomorrow/Saturday
R/R: I stayed home from work today because I just can't shake this cough, and it's just taking it out of me. Hanging on the couch with my knitting and the pup, I'm going to drink lots of water and maybe some tea.
CS/Q: Saw a slight temp drop this morning, thinking it may be the start of my AF temp drop coming. Resigning myself to it not being the month since I was really hoping to see it continue to rise.

He's still not fully into the details, but he does understand now that we need to do it on certain days and asks for opk updates. Unfortunately if you think explaining it all would be more harm than good you're probably right, but keep hope that he eventually will realize there's more to it than what he currently thinks.

@b_1029 so glad your RE appt. went well! (creepily heading over to IF thread to get the deets!)
@flowntheloop I love having the evening hours with my hubby!
Month/Cycle: 9 / 7 (AL)
CD/DPO: 20 / 5 (estimating the DPO)
Timing: Not the best... maybe pathetic even. I'm guessing I O'd on CD 15-ish... which puts us at -3 and O for our timing. I/we really weren't feeling "in the mood" this month for some reason and I really didn't want to force HIO to happen (DH really hates planning in sex time, don't we all though?!?!, so I didn't want to push). I think subconsciously I really needed a mental break from TTC.
Typical LP length: Somewhere between 11-15 days, I think. (With last cycle being really long and out of the norm I feel really thrown off)
Testing: I have zero expectations so I'm definitely WFAF
R/R:
Rant: It isn't Friday yet. :P (I'm keeping this from @flowntheloop 's post!
Rave: Our furniture company couldn't repair the large "pop" in our leather sofa so they are giving us full credit for a new couch!! We picked it out last night and it should arrive early next week... #winning
Also, we go to the RE tomorrow for our follow up consultation, now that all of our testing has been done (and came back great and normal!). So I'll have answers as to what his plan is going to be for us!

CD/DPO: 11dpo
Timing: Great
Typical LP length: 10-12
Testing: BFN this morning. So I've pretty much thrown in the towel this cycle.
R/R: Even though I got a BFN, I'm excited that my LP has lasted 11 days with no spotting! And I'm ordering BC today to start my IVF cycle, so I'm starting to get pretty excited about that. Hoping AF shows up in the next day or so.
CS/Q: Chart in spoiler.
@mvt2003 Your chart still looks really good. FX your temp goes up tomorrow.
@flowntheloop Nice to see you here! It seems like we're never on the dailies together.

@kpearse99 yay for a replacement sofa!! Hope your RE appt. goes well tomorrow and you get a plan of action going forward that you are happy with!
@ruby696 sorry for the BFN, but yay for getting the IVF cycle going soon!
I’ve never listened to a podcast (DH listens to them at work but they are political, sports, or video-game related), I feel like I want to check some of these out now!
@ttcbabyodo - so hard. for us, workday sex goes over a lot better if it is done in the morning!
@b_1029 - so glad your RE appts went well!
@bluetickgal - welcome back to TWW!

R/R: this cycle is so whack. i swear my boobs are a lot less sore, but this morning i had the kind of uterine tenderness where my seatbelt hurt. i woke up at some point in the middle of the night and had no idea what time it was, decided to temp and it was below CL so i decided that i'm going to pretend that didn't happen.
CS/Q: sloppy temping makes for sad chart

@flowntheloop it's exciting when you can catch on! I stopped trying to do cervical position because I couldn't figure it out unless it was definitely high hah. I'm glad you and YH have been having fun! I'll have to try the cold shower trick.
@mvt2003 bleh I'm sorry you're still sick! I'm glad you were able to stay home and enjoy some time with the pup.
@kpearse99 lol to "pathetic" timing. -3 and O aren't bad at all!! That's awesome about the new couch! Can't wait to hear how your RE appt goes tomorrow!
@ruby696 that's awesome about your LP - I'm excited for you! Sorry for the BFN, but I'm glad you'll be able to start the IVF process so soon!
@sevenn FX those are good signs for you! Your lower temp was probably just because you weren't temping at your normal time. I know when I do the online BBT adjuster, if I temp late, it always adjusts the temp to be lower (I literally have no idea if that made any sense)
See, now, if we were able to come home to DTD at lunchtime, now that is something I can go for. I only live 12 minutes from work, but he's almost an hour away, so ehh. Oh well.
Due with baby #2: Feb 2022
@mvt2003 @kpearse99 @sevenn thank you for the suggestions, I've just started Bear Brook as a result and love it. There are some others I've added to my list now too. Crime junkie is a long time favourite. @mvt2003 I also listen when running or walking my dog and it's usually dark too, plenty of people think I'm mad.
@ttcbabyodo I'm sorry it's been challenging with BDing. My partner also starts work super early and is just exhausted after work. We're still getting our timing right but each cycle it just feels more choresome I guess. He also seems to think sex=pregnant no matter how much I try to explain it, so I feel ya!
