DS is going through a stage where he wants to be held - a lot. I don't mind it, but it's killing my back and arms. Any suggestions for a carrier that's easy to use around the house and works on older/bigger babies? He's 19 pounds.
Ethan is about 21 pounds or so. We love our Beco Butterfly! We use it and sometimes the Babyhawk around the house. Ethan loves to be held and he really enjoys being worn while I cook or do laundry. The Beco is super comfy and easy on the back.
I love the Ergo! My DS is 24 lbs and is comfortable in the front, side and back positions. I also tried it with my 31 lb DS and he fit great too (although at almost 3 he didn't love it, but was good to humor me).
My 9 month old is 22 lbs and we love our mei tai. Since I'm pregnant it is more comfortable for me to do a back carry, with the straps over my tummy. He loves it and then I can vacuum, wash dishes, etc, and have him totally happy. We also use it a lot out and about. I usually wear him for about 30 minutes at a time, and if I'm using it right we're both comfy.
I sew so I made mine, but it is really similar to the Babyhawk.
