Raves: Happy we saw the heartbeat a 2nd time on Friday and that I have been feeling good.
Questions:
GTKY: If you had to leave your current country, to what country would you choose to move (pretend language wouldn’t be an issue)? Canada. Close enough to life in the US and in some ways better!
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): cherry
Upcoming appts: 7/30 first appointment with my OB
How are you feeling?: the nausea and aversions are awful! I'm fighting the urge to gag all day long. Also, quite fatigued.
Rants/Raves: we have a work potluck this week and I'm honestly worried about how I'm going to deal with the sights and smells of all the food.
Questions: I'm a FTM so I'm totally new to all of this, but when does nausea ease up?
GTKY: If you had to leave your current country, to what country would you choose to move (pretend language wouldn’t be an issue)? France!! I've been to Paris 4 times and would love to live there. The art, architecture, food, sprawling parks, wine, and general ambiance of the city - I love it!
First appointment is FINALLY on Wednesday. Ready to find out how far along I really am.
Been feeling ok, but started having really bad headaches. Not fun.
I would move to France or Switzerland in a heartbeat.
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out!
Baby is the size of a(n): date or pecan
Upcoming appts: 7/26 OB visit, 8/8 nuchal scan and panorama test
How are you feeling?: yuck. it would help if the people i work with weren't totally disgusting and wearing perfume.
Rants/Raves: Instead of b*tching about the perfume more I am going to say wow it is going to be 99 degrees on Saturday. I don't even know what we are going to do in that heat. We have central air but it is old. Maybe we will drive up to New Hampshire or something LOL
Questions: --
GTKY: If you had to leave your current country, to what country would you choose to move (pretend language wouldn’t be an issue)? Practically the U.K. because I could easily find a job there in my field (financial products) or maybe Portugal since DH and DD are entitled to citizenship there. Romantically would pick a nice Caribbean island and become a BNB host.

Upcoming appts: August 8 for NT scan and bloodwork
How are you feeling?: Pretty normal
Rants/Raves: I feel like time is crawling. I don’t want to wish time away but everyone says how fast their second pregnancies go and I don’t feel like that at all. Ha
Questions: Nada.
GTKY: If you had to leave your current country, to what country would you choose to move (pretend language wouldn’t be an issue)? England for sure. I’m obsessed with the royals

Baby is the size of a(n): cherry
Upcoming appts: next one two weeks from today
How are you feeling?: intermittent nausea, definitely ready to feel normal.
Rants/Raves: I’ve already gained too much weight and hate it, but can hopefully get it under control.
Questions:
GTKY: If you had to leave your current country, to what country would you choose to move (pretend language wouldn’t be an issue)? Honestly, I haven’t traveled much outside of the U.S., so I objectively couldn’t say where I would like to move. I’d probably move to the east coast. I want to experience seasons again and be able to travel to areas with different landscapes. Texas leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to landscape and it’s so damn big that it takes a lot of planning to travel by car anywhere. On the east coast you can be in the mountains one day and the beach the next.

Questions: Anyone go this long without bad MS then have it just hit you in the face??
GTKY: If you had to leave your current country, to what country would you choose to move (pretend language wouldn’t be an issue)?
My husband and I really love Japan. We’ve been twice and have been so amazed by how kind the people are and how great the food is! Although I’m another Francophile and LOVE anywhere I can use my French so I wouldn’t pass up France either ☺️
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out
Baby is the size of a(n): Cherry!
Upcoming appts: Next appt is 8/7 at 12 weeks. Should be getting another US and doing some prenatal testing
How are you feeling?: TIRED!!! Always. MS comes and goes.
Rants/Raves: I need to start getting back into my classroom for set up but never know which days I am going to feel up to it. So annoying!
GTKY: If you had to leave your current country, to what country would you choose to move (pretend language wouldn’t be an issue)?
I am originally from the UK and would love to go back!
@jvk2012 but Canada is s@jvk2012 but Canada is so cold 😊 actually I love Toronto and Montreal, DH has family in Montreal but we don’t speak French so that would be tough!
@malloryfrommn – I haven’t been to Paris yet but we have been absorbed into a French company and so far have not been impressed with our new French colleagues. One of them did indicate that there was a super long waiting list for child care – like almost impossible to get - so that is a logistical thing to think about!
@daffodil_shoe I’ve been to Southern France (Bandol) and it was certainly very beautiful. I did see a man pull over and beat the living crap out of his dog and that was surprising but the wine was good.
@jennv0701 I hear mixed reviews on Switzerland. One of my coworkers from the UK moved there and LOVES it and his American g/f is a teacher there and makes like 120k/year so they clearly value education. But one of my other coworkers said it is very boring and much prefers living in CT. I guess the grass is always greener! I was supposed to go for a conference in February for work but looks like that is off! 😉
@ibabyloveb87 the royals are like the one reason I wouldn’t want to live in the UK 😊 I did enjoy the Crown on Netflix though – have you seen it?
@DDRRT1982 the East Coast is like a whole different country than Texas! We went to SA last year and loved it – my cousin lives in Fredericksburg. What part of Texas do you live in? I dream of moving out West haha but I do like the weather here.
@jvk2012 did you have an u/s yesterday? I couldn’t imagine bringing DD to an OB visit she is just so incredibly busy! We are on similar schedules – this is happening so much faster this time!
@nhh11 – you are so lucky to feel good. Keep the later EDD – sometimes I think with my daughter she was a week off based on LMP which ultimately led to her c-section since we didn’t give her enough time to flip and then she was only 5 lbs 10 oz. I was very happy with my new OB office who changed the EDD later based on the dating scan. Hope you stick in our group! I have never been to Japan but want to go! We travel a lot but that is a long flight with a 2 year old – Asia/Australia is going to have to wait at least 5 years.
@kjeepers87 where are you from in the UK? I’ve spent two weeks in London in the past year and love it there. But I also love Scotland. I wouldn’t love the commute into London every day though. And there is no space!o cold

@leksiL I lived in the Oxford area for 6 years as a kid and the Cambridge area for 6 years as a teen. Mom is British and dad is military. It is my happy place. Lol.
@DDRRT1982 yes I could imagine living in TX might be difficult for us liberals! I'm not Christian so not really welcome anywhere down south haha. I love the SW though because I love latino culture so much from the art to the music to the FOOD.
@kjeepers87 - I hope you get to go back someday! First grade has got to be special.

My first visit was today. It went very well. New practice as my insurance is different. No dating because of no vag u/s so we're going with 2/21 with a c/s most likely the week before. Maybe a Valentines baby!! We talked about trying to vaginally birth as well. The discussion getting real in depth about my surgeries, made we sweat and almost sent me into a panic attack. Next appt is in 2 weeks to hear the hb and have my bloodwork done, maternity 21 screening.
Got to see baby- heartbeat going. It's still so surreal. Interesting thing was it's on a different side than my other two!
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Doing SneakPeek tonight so hopefully finding out (hopefully accurately) by Saturday!
Baby is the size of a(n): Gummy bear!
Upcoming appts: 12 week (two days early) at 8/8! Next ultrasound on Mean Girls Day (anatomy scan).
How are you feeling?: Getting better! Morning sickness now mostly evening sickness, which kind of sucks, but at least interferes a little less with work. Interferes a lot still with fun. Sinus infection still going strong. Had the cold/sinus infection almost as long as I've known I'm pregnant, and it's absolutely blown. Energy level is better, though, and I'm feeling more motivated at work again.
Rants/Raves: 8 week ultrasound was yesterday!
Questions: Are you all starting to tell people in your lives or are you waiting until 12 weeks?
We told our parents, and I have three friends who are either new moms or currently pregnant who know, who I commiserate with. Haven't told our siblings or anyone else yet though and we're debating when to do that. Is 10 weeks too early? I think even at this point if I lost the pregnancy, I would want to talk about that.... I'd be grieving...I'm already in love with this little child growing inside of me. I'm not the type to keep things like that to myself. Is the main reason people have for not telling to keep it private in case they do lose the pregnancy?
GTKY: If you had to leave your current country, to what country would you choose to move (pretend language wouldn’t be an issue)? The Netherlands! Best art, great comforting food, and the people are warm and welcoming and enthusiastic. And everyone is fit because everyone bikes everywhere. I could really go for some poffertjes right now!!!! Or bitterballen.... Or apple pie.... Any of it!
Located in Columbia, SC
We told our parents really early - like 6 1/2 - 7 1/2 weeks because we were visiting for 4th of July and I'm not usually one to turn down a good glass of wine so we knew they’d know right away lol. I think for most, the reason you don’t share is because of the higher risk of MC prior to the 12 week mark. We decided that if we went through that again, we could use the support so if that was the only reason keeping us from telling, we decided to go ahead. So we’ve told parents, siblings, and both our best friends now (I’m 9w2d) but are waiting to tell anyone else until 12 weeks.
We told family at 11 weeks last pregnancy because it was Thanksgiving and we could do it in person with both families. We are also telling family around 11 weeks this time. With IF history I just feel better waiting a bit longer. Each time we have had a very few close friends who knew right away but they also supported us during our IF journey and I still wanted their support during my anxiety ridden early pregnancy.
