We took our little dog to a river last week, and I think she’s got some sort of yeast or vaginitis infection from it. She’s normally so quiet and sweet, but yesterday she’s started running all over the house, laying in weird places and scooting herself on the floors/scratching constantly. Also woke us up in the night from her crate with weird high pitched whining. Ugh, can’t I be the only uncomfortable female in the house??
I think I’ve officially hit “the baby has taken over my brain stage”. I forgot my vitamins yesterday day, I can’t finish sentences. I feel like a mess. Wahhhhh.
@CapricaAndrea exactly how I feel!! I'm sure closer to due date I will get on the ball and get out all DS's old stuff but for now it's way to hot for me to care lol
Lol apparently I'm in baby 2 mindset even though it's baby 1! Haha.
I've really taken 2 mantras to heart lately:
1. It's no use worrying over things that you don't know will happen. I worried so much about hiding nausea and vomiting at work. Guess who never got nauseous? When I catch myself worrying about the baby and sleep in the first few months I remind myself of this.
2. All of life is just a series of phases. Don't like the current phase? It'll be gone before you realize.
Pregnancy brain is real... yesterday I was in the bathroom and was trying to think, what’s the thing you put dish soap on... which is clearly a soap dish hahah. Dish soap I knew but flipping the words was just too much for my brain to handle at that moment
Had my first real pregnancy brain moment today! Called someone Brian when their name is Mark. After I said Brian the name mark came to me but it was like I had never heard that word on my life. Then I forgot about a meeting. Well done me.
@bookworm492 That's how I'm looking at it! I got my last license shortly after I had my daughter and I had gone under my pre-pregnancy weight due to breastfeeding and intense food restrictions due to her allergies and I took advantage of that number too!
I'm working from home today because my sitter is away and I completely forgot to pick DD up from camp. Was supposed to pick her up at noon and looked at the clock at 12:15 and said "OH F!!".
Don't even try running for Mom of Year, ladies. I'm clearly the winner.
So this so this is the daily fact in the app and it’s been bothering me all day... someone feel free to tell me my math is flawed - but the half way point between 4 and 40 is actually 22. I’m week 18, not halfway at all. Is the bump doing drunk math?!
@anniemarie887 that "fact" pissed me off too when I saw it a few weeks ago. I guess there are 36 weeks between 4 and 40, and 18 is half of 36. But someone definitely screwed up on this one.
@anniemarie887 it's probably the first day of week 40 (basically week 39) and the first day of week 4 (basically week three). So 39-3=36/2=18. It's kind of an annoying fact!
But that’s not actually how to do the math (that I’m aware of)! You actually add the weeks: 4 + 40 = 44/2 = so halfway between 4 and 40 is 22. Or the other way to look at it would be yes, 18 is half of 36 but you still need to add in the initial 4 weeks = 22. Right????
Soooo in the last week I’ve found out that BOTH of the friends co-hosting my baby shower in September are pregnant!!!!!!! They don’t know each other super well so they each told me separately and I am over the moon.
Trying not to get too excited because it’s super early (they are only 5 weeks and 7 weeks) but I am dying for local mom friends and I knew they’ve both been trying for the last few months. I just want everybody to be pregnant with me! 🤗
