Re: TTCAL w/o 7/15

  • Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. Early miscarriage in December (5 weeks), CP July 4

    Status: WTO

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R? I am doing well this week, most likely because we have a follow-up appointment on Thursday with the RE so I don't have to wait long to talk about where we go from here. Hopefully we will be able to take another step forward or at least be closer to answers as to why I've had 2 very early losses in a row.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? My hycosy scan was last week. Not the most comfortable experience, but it wasn't terrible. Both fallopian tubes are clear and they didn't see any structural abnormalities in my uterus. We should get more detailed results (including DH's SA) on Thursday.

GTKY: What is a new hobby that you'd like to take up (time/money is no issue)? Either ballroom dancing or playing a musical instrument like acoustic guitar or piano.

  • @emeraldduchess I'm so glad your scan went good. Fx fo your upcoming test results/RE appt!

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc. 2 MMC's 2/19, 6/19

    Status: WFIVF

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R?

I'm ok, on BCP now which is a weird feeling. But I also started an IVF supplement so hopefully that is helping with my egg quality.

Less than 2 weeks before we move so that is keeping me pretty busy. Lots of packing and trips back n forth to new house. Start painting this weekend which I am excited for.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? Nothing until my Saline Sono in about 3 weeks.

GTKY: What is a new hobby that you'd like to take up (time/money is no issue)?

I started taking up knitting around last Christmas. And then after my first MC in Feb I kinda stopped and never started again. My knitting stuff is packed right now but once we move I want to start it back up again. I really wanted to be able to make some baby stuff.

@shamrocandroll Something’s gotta give! I hope you catch a break soon! Any vacations coming up? I remember one particularly funky time in my life that I read a book, maybe The Secret, and I started doing things slightly differently... like parking in a different area / position, walking down a new path from my car to my apartment, sleeping on a different side of the bed, moving some furniture, etc. I wouldn’t say it changed my life, but it kind of changed how I felt and what my focus was on for a few days. Getting out of my routine helped get me out of my funk.
@hanshotfirst77 Any fun colors? Hope it isn’t too messy for you! I spent my first two months of living in my house just painting things. I’ll never forget how badly my hands hurt! I’m hiring someone when we move.

  • Hello All! I see a lot of familiar faces so I thought I would post! I have intro on the July 15 intro board!

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R? The doctor cleared us to start trying so now just trying to decide when...

Any testing coming up/any recent results? The results from my surgery (I had a polyp removed) were great! The polyp was non cancerous and my uterus lining showed no infections. I did want the doctor to check my b12 so wanting on those results.

GTKY: What is a new hobby that you'd like to take up (time/money is no issue)? I would like to become more involved with the out doors like hiking or kayaking.

  • @Mamaof2beautifulgirls I'm glad to hear your polyp was not cancerous!
  • Thank you! @ruby696 It was a HUGE relief!
  • @emeraldduchess gl with the RE appt, hopefully you can get some answers

@hanshotfirst77 gl with the move and the painting. I haven't tried knitting, but I was a terrible crocheter lol

    @shamrocandroll I'm sorry everything's going wrong.

@mamaof2beautifulgirls yay for good test results!

Introduce yourself and anything you think is important: number of loss(es), when you had the loss(es), diagnosis/conditions surrounding loss, etc.

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R?

I'm having a difficult time getting in touch with my OB. I know they have other patients and get busy, but I just want a 5 minute conversation to go over DH's SA and decide where to go from there. I might have better luck just calling DH's insurance and seeing if he needs a referral to see a specialist.

Any testing coming up/any recent results? No testing at the moment.

DH has his SA on Friday and the count and motility were both low.

GTKY: What is a new hobby that you'd like to take up (time/money is no issue)?

I enjoy crafting and I'm really getting into using my Cricut, but one thing I'd really like to learn is the different graphic designing programs like inkscape or adobe illustrator to up my Cricuting skills.

  • Got my fourth beta result, but not the third. It was a 4, so they’re considering it negative. FF changed my DPO from 7 to 9. I just wish something could be 100% clear!!

How are things going? What is something that you are struggling with this week? What is going well for you this week? R/R?

    In spoiler for TW...

My SIL has her c-section today, and while I’m so excited for them and to have another niece...it stings knowing I should have been about 6 weeks behind her! I was really hoping I’d be KU again by now, but that’s not how it has worked out!

Any testing coming up/any recent results?

Progesterone BW today. First RE appointment on 8/15.

GTKY: What is a new hobby that you'd like to take up (time/money is no issue)?

My mom taught me to knit years ago, and I’d like to re-learn and start making some stuff for myself and others!

@emeraldduchess so glad your appointment went well this week! Fingers crossed the RPL BW will give you some answers and a plan going forward! Oh, ballroom dancing would be so fun!!

@hanshotfirst77 ah, I don’t envy you on the moving/painting...but that will be so exciting when it’s done! Are you painting the whole house? We just did that, and I so wish we had before we moved in...it’s a challenge moving everything out of each room and then back in again!

@shamrocandroll I’m so sorry everything seems to be going wrong right now, hopefully things will turn around soon!!

@Mamaof2beautifulgirls yay for being cleared to start trying again, and that’a great news your polyp was not cancerous!

@splashmountain hopefully you were able to get ahold of your OB to get some clarification, that is so frustrating! Do you do all the vinyl monogramming stuff with your Cricut? I have a couple friends that do that, and they’ve even kind of made it a side-business.

@NYtino24 glad your most recent beta came back negative so you can move forward with this cycle. Sorry for the lack of clarity though, that is super frustrating not knowing exactly where you are in your cycle!

  • @bluetickgal Those should-be dates are so so hard.  I passed mine in June and I am still not KU and it sucks.  I'm sorry.

  • @bluetickgal I am so sorry about the SIL and the up coming anniversary. 😞 I know those feelings are so hard. You are so happy for them, but so sad for yourself. My baby would have been born in the middle of my two best friends’ birth. I find that it is hard... I helped give one friend’s baby shower and then saw my other friend an her bump like the next week. Both situations made me so sad....I second the virtual hug!
  • @Mamaof2beautifulgirls thank you...and yes, they are conflicting/confusing emotions for sure! I’m so sorry, that sounds so tough!! Sending you and @shamrocandroll back virtual hugs!!
  • @bluetickgal *hugs* the reminders of what should be are brutal. My EDD for my first loss is next month and I am absolutely dreading it.
  • @emeraldduchess thank you, sending hugs right back! Mine is next month as well.
  • Wishing everyone some peace re: due dates. It’s so heartbreaking.

My anxiety seems to be ramping up really badly during the TWW. I hate saying it, but I can’t wait to be done TTC. It’s just so hard mentally!

I second that @NYTino24!!! I am having so much anxiety just thinking about trying again (we are waiting until next cycle). My DH would start now, but my anxiety is almost making me not want to even try at all!

@splashmountain I am thinking of you this morning! Were you able to get in contact with your doctor?

    Edited for grammar!
  • @bluetickgal I'm sorry that the birth of your niece is so hard. I get it, my sil is ku with their 3rd child and while I'm excited for them (this will be their rainbow) and happy to have another nephew, it still breaks my heart. And to answer your question, yes I use my Cricut for vinyl. I love making personalized gifts for friends and family, but one day I hope a onsie I design will be for my own child.

Thanks for thinking of me @Mamaof2beautifulgirls I have not been able to get ahold of my OB yet. I left another message, but honestly, I'm so angry that I'm just done. I already know the results, I just wanted advice but I guess I have to handle it myself. I called my insurance and I don't need a referral to see an RE so I've started looking online. The nearest one is about 2 hours away unfortunately, but if they can help us, I'll travel as far as I need to.

I do have a question for you guys, for MFI should MH go to a urologist? Or is that something the RE can help him with?
  • edited July 2019
@splashmountain I am so sorry about the doctor not getting back in contact with you! I know that has to be so frustrating. I do not know about the MFI and RE, but I do want to recommend reading the book It Starts with the Egg. I read it right after I miscarried. It has a whole chapter on supplements men can take to help with sperm count, etc. Of course my DH would not take any of the vitamin supplements. 😞

    Edited- grammar
  • @Mamaof2beautifulgirls thanks for the tip.  H asked me if there was anything he could take to help so I'll have to check out that book 😊
  • @splashmountain thank you! I hate that we are all in the same boat here...I’m sorry you have the conflicting feelings with your nephew too! I broke down with DH last night...we don’t talk about it much, because I know his way of coping is to not think/talk about it! I know it hurts both of us, but sometimes I need to get it out...he was there to support me though, which is just what I needed! I hope you get to make the onesie for your own very soon!!!

We haven’t been to our first RE appt. yet, but I know ours does the SA...I’m not sure how much they will do beyond that for him if necessary though.
