A week before my period I started getting period-like cramps so I thought my period was coming early
These cramps lasted 2 full days. Then they completely stopped and no period showed. I googled and thought maybe it was implantation cramping since timing seemed right and we are TTC
Right around the period due date (a week after my first cramps) I started feeling cramps again, and haven’t stopped since (4-5 days now) this time slightly different more like “pulling and tightening” effect and more off to the right. I’ve been pregnant before and this was how it felt when I was in my 1 trimester honestly. And I’m very in-tune w my body.
I also have sore nipples, bigger breasts and headaches. Which could all be pms symptoms except this many cramps for this many days!!! Not only the week pre period but then again around when my period was due I never get more than 2 days of cramps and it’s never one sided.
However, I’m still getting negative tests.
i don’t know exactly WHEN my period was due so it may be low hormone levels still.
or maybe it’s because I am breastfeeding and it’s making the test be off?
May this point I’m so confused I don’t know why I would have so many cramps if it’s not pregnancy... but why would I get so many negative tests?

Sounds like ovulation to me. First, read the newbie guide here. Then check out the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility. You can learn a lot from the ladies here by reading the threads. No need to create your own or to update us unless you plan on sticking around and getting to know everyone, which I hope you do. Good luck.

it is against the TOU to ask if you’re pregnant. The only things that can tell you are a pregnancy test or a doctor. If you’re pregnant enough for symptoms, you’re pregnant enough to get a +HPT.
ETA if you aren’t in fact pregnant, please read the rules of this board and feel free to introduce yourself and start participating.
If that was ovulation (which I’ve never had cramps during ovulation in 15 years I only have cramps pre period) and why would i have 4-5 days of cramps NOW? I don’t get it.

Maybe you have gas.

That’s the most absurd thing I’ve heard. I had symptoms since week 3 with my girl and of course didn’t get a + until last my missed period.
Anything can happen postpartum. I used to be super irregular and now I’m super predictable, including that I’m high risk to miscarry again, because of low progesterone. A negative test means you aren’t pregnant or your HCG isn’t high enough to turn a test. What’s absurd is you arguing with strangers online when we can’t see inside your uterus. If you’re that concerned, see a doctor.

@tamalahoops I am LOLing too hard at that. Because as I read that wall of text I thought to myself, “she’s describing my bowels after a week of too many burritos.”
It is against the terms of use on this board (not to mention rude and a bit absurd) to ask this group if you are pregnant. This is a board for people who are trying to get pregnant, not women who have been pregnant. Many women here have no pregnancy experience to share with you to say if this was a sign or not.
Breastfeeding can have a significant impact on your cycle, so it’s not really surprising you’re experiencing weird cycles. It’s very possible you just ovulated later than normal and the cramps you have now are PMS. Or just you’re having a weird cycle which can happen to anyone. You’re regular until you’re not.
Random strangers on the internet can’t tell you if you’re pregnant or what is causing your symptoms. Take another test in a few days or go call your doctor.
I love how everyone is being nice and giving options as to what it could be....yet it’s all “ridiculous” and not good enough reasoning to possibly be what’s going on 🙄🤣
Well in all my years of medical experience I think this could be....
oh wait, I’m a random person from the internet that couldn’t possibly know what’s happening inside your body- not to mention I’ve never been pregnant so have no reference of what’s normal or not. If you’re just going to dismiss other people’s ideas of what could possibly be happening, maybe you should actually go see a doctor? Just a thought
@lcking82 and @kbrown2385Because any answer other than, "OMG you're totes preggo and the tests are wrong because breastfeeding cancels out hCG!" is not the answer OP wants to hear.🙄
That’s the most absurd thing I’ve heard. I had symptoms since week 3 with my girl and of course didn’t get a + until last my missed period.
Lol that’s the most absurd thing you’ve heard???? I’m pretty sure like 98% of all pregnancy symptoms are the same as PMS so there’s really no way to tell..but like I said, I’m not a medical professional.
**lurking** OP, is seriously going to list a bunch of normal symptoms that women deal with during their cycles, tell us all the tests are BFNs, and then call people "absurd," and "ridiculous" when they try to put on their ute goggles and make suggestions to an internet stranger? Maybe you're not so "in-tune" with your body as you think.
Also, this is bugging me: the post is called cramps for 10 days, but then OP says she had cramps for 2 days, then no cramps for a week, then cramps for 4-5 days. Just doesn’t add up.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
I had cramps for 10 days too (or 2 days, skip a week and then 4-5.... or even actual weeks on end). It was called MC! I'm sorry you breastfeeding your child with NO idea when your AF will arrive and a few days of cramps is bothering you @Bishop21 That must be REALLY rough. But I'm soooo crossing my fingers that you're PG again while breastfeeding cause I mean, life would be TOTES unfair if that weren't the case. It would be epic-ally sad if you had cramps for NO good reason months after having your last child. That would just be THE WORST EVER!!!!! OMG. Can you imagine NOT being totes preggers immediately after the last child?!?!?
I think I would know the difference between gas and cramps. ridiculous.
FWIW, sounds like the first cramps were ovulation and these ones are PMS signs. Also when I started getting really bad cramps with my period it was a sign of my thyroid and progesterone being off.
