How are you feeling?: I took out my Snoogle last night, I need to get used to that massive thing in my bed again. My hips are still hurting quite a bit, pretty much I sleep on my side until that side's hip goes numb and then roll onto the other side until that goes numb as well. So back and forth all night...already...

upcoming appointments: im more than likely going to have to go to a clinic on thursday to start on insulin as my fasting blood sugar readings havnt been ideal.
how are you feeling? Physically, I thought i was getting better but was so ill on saturday evening & still a bit off. Mentally, again i thought I was getting better but the probable gd diagnosis & having to go on insulin so early has just made me feel shitty all over again.
rants/raves: We had a weekend in our own house not having to go anywhere or do anything or pack a bag & it was glorious & relaxing & just what I needed. Its just a pity i had to cancel plans with old friends who live near my parents but I literally couldnt face it!

@mommystuebs Glad to see you back! I’ve felt a flutter here and there but then convince myself it’s too early. I had an anterior placenta with DD so I didn’t feel anything with her til pretty far along.

Questions: Do your husbands/partners generally come to all your appointments at this stage? DH is out of town Wednesday and I’m anxious about not having him there for the scan.

I'm glad im not the only one who thinks theu may have felt movement. I havent felt kicks but a weird pressury feeling similiar to gas but different like 3 times. Think maybe it was the baby rolling ?
@EmilyE13 the only appointment my husband has ever attended was the 20 week anatomy scan with our first. This time will probably be the same with him only attending the anatomy scan.
Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: finding out...I'm so antsy now that people are starting to find out! I feel like our A/S is so far away! I may end up doing an early ultrasound at a US studio in town but I'm struggling to justify the unnecessary expense.

@valerie4786 I have been thinking a bit about mat leave, we get a lot longer here than in the states though. So im thinking I’ll take about 9/10 months this time though I took a full year with dd. My inital thoughts were id finish at christmas & go back in september/october time but now with twins & them probably being delivered before christmas, im thinking I’ll finish end of nov & go back september time but can review that depending how massive im feeling as I progress.
@valerie4786 like every day! Can’t wait! I know not everyone does but I freaking loved my maternity leave with #1. It was my glory days. I only get 12 weeks, not fully paid so that part is hard, especially now with DS in daycare (and if we pull him we lose his spot 😫) but I’ll love every rice and beans eating, penny pinching day.

I got my first headache since finding out and it lasted a few days. I tried Tylenol and it did nothing. Solution: coffee, a cool cloth on my forehead, diffusing peppermint.

Rants/Raves: been feeling baby some and even got to hear the heartbeat at home with an old Doppler my husband brought home from the hospital where he works (it was getting tossed so he just took it). That was a surprise because it’s a crappy old one and we didn’t think it would work, but it did!
Questions: Anyone with an early due date been hoping they have baby in Dec simply because of the fact that most heath insurance premiums renew Jan 1? 😂😜

Ive only started on a very low dose yesterday, 2 units before bed & i was at 5.4 this morning. They also suggested I take 1 unit of fast acting at breakfast but that brought me down to 5.7.
My husband is a doctor so ive talked it over with him & am thinking that i drop the fast acting for now but up my slow release by a unit or 2 if im getting similar results after a few more days. Today & monday are public holidays here so I’ll phone in on tuesday to discuss it a bit more with the specialist nurses.
