@millpe I know! I wonder if I was just cold for those other 2 nights or something. It’s hard to tell since I don’t really have a cover line. Any news on AF for you?
  • millpemillpe member
@bows22 Not yet! But I'm guessing from the way I'm feeling it will be tomorrow or Friday. Hoping I can still get the worst of it out of the way before I put on a swim suit all week!

@bows22 Sorry about the BFN!  Stupid temp fake out...

    Testing: Monday with @puppylove8910!

R/R:  My bay window is fixed!  I'm so relieved because the contractor told me he wasn't positive he could fix it, and a new one of that style would be $6000, not including installation!  :anguished: Also, the fridge repairman is coming back on Thursday to replace the compressor finally.  It's been 3 weeks without a fridge in our kitchen.  Really hoping that fixes it for good!

    CS/Q:

*Edited to fix tag.  I really need to start proofreading BEFORE I hit post!

@shamrocandroll I have no idea how you lived without a fridge in your kitchen for 3 weeks! But only one more day! Also awesome news about the window! What was wrong with it?

  • @millpe The sash frame warped and came completely apart from the glass.  It started off just a little wonky, and by the winter, there was like 2 inch gap between the glass and the frame!  I had to stuff it full of foam, and then shrink wrapped the window and put insulating curtains over it, and we kept them closed until yesterday.  I have natural light back in my dining room again!!!

  • -lurking like a creep-

@bows22 I’m sorry about the BFN and your temp giving you false hope :(

@shamrocandroll yay finally. I’ve been following to hear the end of this refrigerator saga and I’m glad the end is near. And that’s awesome about the window! That would have been a huge expense whew.

  • @lcking82 I have no idea. It cracked and he wore it cracked for a long time like that, but then it cracked even more, so he took it off because was afraid he'd lose it. He's in law enforcement, so I don't know what happened exactly. It was tungsten, but I have to admit, it was a pretty cheap one since that's all we could afford at the time. This one is much better quality, so hopefully it lasts.
  • @silly_goose @b_1029 @lcking82 I have a mini fridge that we were storing in the garage from back in my college days.  Hauled it out, dusted it off, plugged it in, and it still works like a charm 16 years later.  I think I paid $50 for it back in the day?  I also went on Best Buy's website after about a week and ordered the cheapest smaller-end full sized fridge I could find to put in the basement.  So we have a working full fridge right now, but we have to trek downstairs anytime we need something out of it.  You don't realize how many times a day you open the fridge door until you have to go down and up a flight of stairs every time!  It's been a pretty major inconvenience, but with everything else that has been going on, it felt relatively minor in comparison!

  • @b_1029 I'm having a pee party with @puppylove8910 on Monday.  Join us!

@ruby696 What material was his ring?  How did it break?  Glad he has a new one coming!  I haven't been wearing mine because it needs to be resized.  :(

@lcking82 I'm sorry about YH's back!  Back injuries are no joke!  They make doing anything/everything difficult to impossible!  I hope he finds relief soon!

@mvt2003 Yay for temp spike!  GL at work today!

  • @shamrocandroll I swear we are the same person with our fridge problems. MH dusted his old mini fridge off from his college days and that what we lived out of, too. His ring was tungsten. No idea how it cracked, other than it was cheap. He's in law enforcement and does a lot with his hands, but who knows?
  • b_1029b_1029 member
@shamrocandroll @puppylove8910 like, this Monday 7/15? I'll only be 9DPO, maybe I'll just do it in solidarity but obviously won't expect anything, haha.
  • @b_1029 Ohhhh I did it again and thought next Monday = this Monday!  Haha I don't wanna pressure anyone into a pee party too early.  ;)

@ruby696 I'd be honored to be the same person as you, haha!  Minus the fridge problems.  I'm surprised the tungsten broke!  I thought that was supposed to be tougher.  MH's is cobalt, I think?

@shamrocandroll oh that is wonderful news about the fridge and especially the window! Paying 6K+ for a window would make me puke I think

@b_1029 yay I’m glad you got CH finally! And I think this was the first cycle that my testing plans did not revolve around drinking so I think your plan for next Sunday sounds perfect haha.

@ruby696 that’s exciting about the ring! does he know it’s coming or is it a surprise?

@lcking82 ugh hot sleep is the worse! Hopefully the kitten shapes up soon

@mvt2003 hope you are having a good day at work!
