How are you feeling? Feeling good some days, others I’m exhausted.
Rant/Rave/Questions: Still trying to wrap my head around everything. I was able to have a meltdown yesterday so that helped my nerves a little. Dh has a way of being relaxed about everything, so knowing he isnt concerned is kind of helping as well.
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? DS has not been impressed with the idea of being a big brother, he’s even more resistant knowing there is two coming. We will be heading to the library to get some books about being a big brother and he loves seeing the ultrasound pictures. I’m hoping over the next few months, and once we start working on the nursery, he will be more interested.
How are you feeling? night time insomnia, tossing and turning with hips hurting and heartburn!!!! I for some reason drank a glass of orange juice before bed...what a mistake
Rant/Rave/Questions:
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? DD is loving the news she's so excited. I've only shown her the pictures and she see's my stomach getting bigger. I didn't take her to any ultrasounds yet since I was so scarred it would be a negative outcome. I am definitely taking her to the 20 week scan. Only concern is that we still room share, I will have to transition her out to her own room and get her a double bed etc, I just need to do it probably by September latest so that she doesn't get jealous now that baby will be going in to her spot.
@kbrown2385 good that DH is so relaxed, hopefully that will help you feel less worried! Good idea to get the big brother books, do you think he would want to go to an ultrasound appointment?
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k he came to the one we found out it was twins 😬. He thought it was cool but overall wasn’t really interested. The dr said that’s usually what he sees with toddlers at appts lol. We will keep taking him to scans and I’m sure once we start picking out things and setting up the nursery it will be more real for him. Glad your dd is excited! How old is she?
@kbrown2385 - I think as you get the nursery ready, he might get more excited. Maybe let him choose some things like blankets, or two outfits to get him included in the process?
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k - We are moving our DD into her own room before the baby comes as well. I'm going to get her a bed and decorate her room as soon as I know the gender. If it's a girl, she will get all new decor, but if it's a boy the nursery will be new, and all the current stuff will move to her room.

How are you feeling? Nauseated and fatigued, what's new? It has been more manageable lately.
Rant/Rave/Questions: I can't believe it's July already. Anyone feel like this year is just flying by! School starts in about 4 weeks.
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? I've told DD about the baby, but she still doesn't understand. She keeps pointing to everyone's belly and calling it a baby.
EDD/Weeks + Days: Jan 8/13w6d but 2nd trimester tomorrow!!

Rant/Rave/Questions:
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? She was talking about being a big sister out of the blue before I even knew I was pregnant. Lol. We told her and she's excited and tells everyone she's going to be a big sister. She's pretty insistent that the baby in mama's tummy is a little sister.
@kbrown2385 sometimes I think having a meltdown can be really useful! And it gives you a little bit of room to freak out and just feel the crazy emotions!
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k the insomnia is the worst! I’ve been having a lot of hip pain already as well. I was really hoping that would wait a bit
@marebear15 I feel like it’s flying too! I was just telling MH that the first couple weeks after I found out I was pregnant just crawled by sooo slow then it just started flying.
@valerie4786 that’s so cool that your DD just seemed to know it was coming!
EDD/Weeks + Days: 1/24 11w5d

How are you feeling? So tired. Between pregnancy tiredness and DS I am just constantly ready to crash. My nausea has decreased a lot though, which I am very thankful for
Rant/Rave/Questions: DS is hitting the Terrible Twos or something. He’s just been spiteful lately and throwing fits over every little thing. Then he’ll have days where he’s totally fine. It’s baffling and exhausting.
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? I talk to him about it but he’s too young to understand. He met my friend’s new baby today and just ignored him...until I was holding the baby and he was very not sure about that. He didn’t do anything bad. He just wanted me to also hold him. So hopefully we can work through that
How are you feeling? Pretty good. Nausea is better. But I make it through about half of these busy summer days and then I get dizzy and exhausted.
Rant/Rave/Questions: We are so busy, and now that the constant nausea is gone, it's hard to feel pregnant all the time, and I keep being shocked by the nausea.
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? I haven't told them yet. 40 weeks is a long time for them to wait for a baby, so I am waiting until it's really not hidable. We had the ultrasound, so that makes me feel a little more confident. But I have miscarried before, and I don't want to put them through that pain if I don't have to, so that's another reason I am waiting. We are waiting on my blood test results. I am guessing I will tell them by the end of summer. Maybe another 3 or 4 weeks before I really can't hide it anymore. Can you tell I haven't decided what to do?? 😉
Size of baby: Walnut How old is your other kid(s)? 3 in September and 13 months 😬
How are you feeling? Nauseous, exhausted, hips already starting to hurt when I sleep. Still processing that I will have three kids 3 and under.
Rant/Rave/Questions: my 13 mth old is getting teeth and it’s been awful. So I’m waiting on the last few to finally break so I can start weaning.
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? The 13 month old obviously doesn’t have a clue but my oldest is excited. He is adamant it is a baby sister because he has a brother and would like us to name her Mohawk Warrior after his favorite monster truck. 😂 we probably won’t bring the kids to any ultra sounds but I’m sure I’ll have to drag them to an appointment or two so hopefully they can hear the heartbeat.
Daniel Tiger has really great new baby and after baby is born episodes and books. A few months before I was due with #2 we got A baby doll and let my son play with it and feed it. He really liked it and we practiced being gentle.
How are you feeling? tired, still a little nauseous, mostly meh interspersed the odd bout of ok-ish-ness
Rants/Raves/Questions: i feel massive already
If you've told your other kid about the baby, how are they handling the news? so we told dd quite early, we went for an early scan at 9.5 weeks on the sunday evening and she was going to have to come with us so i spoke to her about it on the friday before. I asked her firstly would she like a new baby in our house and we talked a little about it being a brother or a sister. At that point we thought it was only a single & she was adamant that she was getting a brother and a sister despite me telling her repeatedly that it would be one or the other. She still keeps saying she's getting a brother and a sister so now in my head that's what the babies are. Shes great at saying hello to the babies in mummy's tummy and giving them kisses but we'll see how that translates when they actually arrive.
How are you feeling? Super tired still, and I get a little queezy in the evenings still
Rant/Rave/Questions: QUESTION! When did/ have you guys started showing with this pregnancy? I can't tell if I'm starting to show a little or if it's bloat.
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? I had to take DD to the sonogram with me, so she knows. She was very excited at first, but I guess she has forgotten since then because she hasn't brought it up again. I'm kind of ok with that because even though we have told our parents, I'm not ready to tell everyone else quite yet.
My son knows there's a baby in momma's belly, but we realized recently that he actually thought there was a baby in EVERYONE's belly. We talked a little bit and now he only thinks there's one in momma and daddy's bellies, so I guess that's progress? Basically I don't think he gets it yet.
@beep126 I definitely look pregnant starting at 9 weeks or so, but I'm told it's officially "baby" at around 12 weeks at the earliest since that's when your uterus is large enough. You're close enough, you could be there!
@kbrown2385 I’m glad your husband is able to stay calm for you. It definitely helps a lot to have a partner who can be that way. I tend to be the one who freaks out more about stuff, but my husband usually stays more calm/rational and can talk me through whatever it is to feel better. Hopefully soon you can feel as relaxed as your husband!
@c1kc1kpol1cn1k I’m right there with you with those symptoms! I made the mistake of having a little bit of this incredibly spicy salsa on my taco and paid for it later with reflux from hell!
@Xstatic3333 That’s so cute and funny about your son. My daughter asked me if she could have a baby in her belly and if daddy could put it there 😱 She has no idea how it works lol
EDD/Weeks + Days: Jan 25/ 11w4d
Size of baby: Lime/as tall as a Bobby pin

How are you feeling? Getting better with the nausea, but it still comes. Feeling tired, my acid reflux is getting worse, so are my ligament pains. But for the most part I don’t feel too bad!

If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? We’ve told her. We will see how she really feels once the baby is born, but I’ll do my best to include her and make her feel just as important. She did get a tad jealous when my husband held a friend’s baby!
How are you feeling? I was doing better with the food aversions and nausea, but today was not good. Spicy food seems to help...
Rant/Rave/Questions: For some reason I didn't think I'd cramp this much with a second pregnancy, but I'm really crampy.
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? DD is still way too young to understand. I'm nervous that she'll be pretty disrupted. I've heard kids will regress with big changes in their environments. I'm worrying in advance.
@MollySm that seems like a huge decision! I can’t imagine. We are planning on three and by then DS will be old enough to “get” it so I’m not looking forward to that.
@clee5711 the baby doll idea is smart! We might have to try that!
@leprechaun317 your description of how you are feeling is spot on to my life. I nodded in agreement the whole time I read it
@beep126 idk if it’s “showing” or bloat but I feel way bigger way earlier
@blackcat01 your dd’s reaction is so cute! Glad she seems to be on board at least so far!
@fishakris we are worried about regression too. I’m trying to work out when to try potty training DS and it’s hard because I don’t want to deal with a bad regression when baby comes
How are you feeling? I have a tremendous case of pregnancy brain, like stop talking in the middle of a sentence because I forget what I am saying. Also, unfortunately having a return of the worst symptom ever which is extreme nipple pain in relation to any temperature changes. I was hoping to escape it this time, but no luck. There is a term for it, but I forget. If anyone else has experienced this let's commiserate together.
Rant/Rave/Questions: My daughter is very excited about the baby, but I am very annoyed at all of the work people who are. This time I just want to keep it private.
If you’ve told your other kid(s) about the baby, how are they handling the news? If you haven’t told them yet, how will you? She is very excited and sweetly kisses my belly every night. She knows something is different since I keep falling asleep at random times and seemingly always complaining that I am going to puke.
@fishakris It's funny you should mention regression. We haven't experienced that so much as just her play acting like she is a baby at times. But she was doing this before too, ever since she met her baby cousin so idk.
@kbrown2385 we just potty trained my 2 year 9month old like a month ago. I didn’t do night time yet bc he’s still in a crib. Things have been going well with potty training so our next goal is big kid bed. He just asked for one. Which is good bc I’m not buying another crib lol Im expecting some accidents and sleep issues when the new baby comes but Hoping there will be enough time for him to adjust to these changes. He adapted pretty well after I had my youngest and he was only 20 months old.
@kbrown2385 It's been really embarrassing at work...Today I had to call a parent who had been hurt and I couldn't remember her name even though it was staring me in the face on her field trip form. Besides the fact that I know her well and had just had a long chat with her.
