  • @knottie46b2cbfe1cb83ab6  Welcome to group four and congratulations:) very excited to have you here when you get a chance look at the knottie usernames thread for instructions on how to change your name to something a little more personal that way we can distinguish you from all the other knottie’s out there and then head to the introduce yourself thread so the rest of the board can meet you as well😊
  • I think my change worked, I'll try posting again to find out. Thank you!
  • EDD/W+D: 2/24; 6 weeks 3 days

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out all the way!

Baby is the size of a(n): Maine blueberry, sweet pea, ladybug

Upcoming appts: first “confirmation of pregnancy” appt 7/8 then first ultrasound (!!!) 7/24

How are you feeling?: ugh. Tired, nauseous, food aversions (get away from me chicken!) and cravings (hot dogs, hamburgers, yogurt, cereal.) I normally eat very little meat (and almost never beef or pork), so that’s weird for me but the exact same as my last pregnancy. Coincidentally enough, my DD won’t eat chicken and LOVES cereal. Ha!

Rants/Raves: the heat is awful! I moved from TX to CT thinking I’d get a more pleasant summer. Nope! It’s bloody hot here. Chasing around my toddler on the playground in the heat is taking every last bit of energy. Also, having to wait so long for my first ultrasound stinks (I’ll be nine weeks along.) It seems so inconsistent when first ultrasounds take place. I need patience!

Questions: none that I can think of

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I stay home with my 18 month old daughter. We just moved to a new state without family and DH has a crazy and unpredictable schedule, so I’ll likely stay home the next few years. I used to work for a university and would love to get back to that one day.
  • EDD/W+D: due on February 27, 6 weeks, 1 day

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: I don't wanna find out, and everyone tells me I'm crazy!

Baby is the size of a(n): sweet pea!

Upcoming appts: july 16, confirmation and possible scan. It was supposed to be my annual

How are you feeling?: exhausted. Get dizzy spells every so often, and waves of nausea

Questions: so many, it's my first pregnancy, and I'm just so worried something will go  wrong.

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm an RN that works in a fertility clinic (one of the reasons I assume things will go wrong) I see girls all the time having issues getting pregnant and keeping it, and my heart breaks for them daily. It was a massive surprise that I missed my period, since we weren't trying, and it's so hard to keep positive until I hear confirmation from a doctor
  • EDD/W+D: Feb 24, 6w 4 d

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: hubby still says finding out.

Baby is the size of a(n): pea..tall as a Reese's cups today. Cool!!

Upcoming appts: first midwife appt and US 7/15

How are you feeling?: A little tired, abdominal pains/gas at night, bloated, but nausea isn't bad

Rants/Raves: can hardly keep it in!!

Questions: is it safe to fly mid-pregnancy?

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm a special ed TA at a middle school. Thinking of getting my Master's in education with a special ed focus to teach after babies. I'll be a sahm until our second is ready for preschool...so a ways to go. Going back to school will be extra hard in August, knowing it's my last year of work for a while :D

Team finding out: YES! We are impatient already!

Baby is the size of: a sweet pea <3

    Upcoming Appointment: July 19th

How are you feeling?: GREAT! Very tired, bloated/ gas and craving a lot of salt & sweets. Wondering when morning sickness will hit? Maybe I’m lucky? We shall see.

Rants/ Raves: It’s hard keeping this a secret from family & friends. We are a couple who love to hang with friends and have a good time and it’s been tough trying to hide this from the ones we spend the most time with.

Questions: Is it normal not to have morning sickness yet? Or at all?

GTKY: I am a 6th Grade Special Education Teacher :)

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: Yes! DH wants to do a gender reveal with fireworks. (Legal where we live.) Except, he thinks one will be lackluster, so he thinks we need 5 - 2 blue, 2 pink, and then the last (5) one will be the gender...like a countdown of how many there are of each color.

Baby is the size of a(n): blueberry

Upcoming appts:first US is July 22nd; I'm a FTM, so I'm nervous waiting that long.

How are you feeling?: Nausea is no joke. I slept all day yesterday, and still feel tired today. I am counting down to going home and laying back down after work.

Rants/Raves: Nausea is WOAH. But, I have been told it's a good sign that my hormones are still increasing, so I'll deal.

Questions: nausea tips? I have the eat-a-cracker-when-waking up down. I bought B-6 too, but it doesn't seem to help. I am trying to eat food, but the thought of food also makes me sick. I'm trying to drink as much fluid as possible; water makes me blah, but lemonade does okay. I told my boss early in case something like this happened, but man, it's draining me.

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm an attorney, but I left practice to work at a law school. Love what I do!

ETA: with the nausea, I'm not throwing up, I'm just so sick-feeling to my stomach all.day.long. It's actually better in the morning, but gets worse the later it gets in the day.
  • EDD/W+D: 2/25 6w2d

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): sweetpea

    Upcoming appts: first sono 7/9

How are you feeling?: tired, sore breasts, 24/7 nausea but no throwing up yet, and super snappy and I already feel huge.

Rants/Raves: dying for my sono so I know my little bean is growing on time. TW this is my 5th pregnancy but I have no living children. Hoping this is my take home baby

    Questions: none

GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm a nurse, love every moment, although my feet hate it these days lol
  • @beccam8807 I didn’t find out the gender of my first two kids and it was such an amazingly surprise to find out once you deliver!
@nlgunter I flew with my last at 33 and 35 weeks and everything was fine. It was a domestic flight and 3 hours and 3.5 hours. Most airlines say no later than 36 weeks assuming there are no complications before. But best to ask your doctor to be sure!

    EDD/W+D: EDD February 24, 2020!

Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out, I am too Type A not to. Strong feeling on girl already.

Baby is the size of a(n): sweet pea

    Upcoming appts: 1st ultrasound 7/17

How are you feeling?: HORRIBLE! Started Bonjesta (sp?) Which has stopped the vomiting but the constant nausea and fatigue are really wearing me down!

Rants/Raves: Am team Boy, but have had a STRONG feeling since we found out that it's a girl. (I was a horrible child and have my mother's curse upon my head lol.)

Questions: Teachers, how long are you planning for FMLA? My due date is 11 weeks from the end of our school year, have STD and have 50sick days.

GTKY: public school elementary teacher in AL

    Team finding out/pink/blue/green: finding out

Baby is the size of a(n): earbud headphone

    Upcoming appts: Us 8/13

How are you feeling?: I finished a previous job contract and had a little time off before the next started. Thought I’d go on vacation but instead I’m puking.

Rants/Raves: terrified to tell my family. Is that weird? I’m older and married but I’m the first of many female siblings. Also off topic but a lot of people have been telling me traumatic birth stories. Without knowing I’m pregnant.

Questions: when to tell my next contract that technically hasn’t started that I’m pregnant? It sounds easy but I don’t even know who to talk to on the team. It’s causing a lot of stress.

    GTKY: in healthcare
