AFM driving down the Washington coast towards Oregon. I kept testing with OPK and today got a positive. Is that even possible? It’s exactly two weeks since my RE saw 2 follies at 15mm. I gots no idea what my body is doing!!!
Quick update from my donor cycle...We got “7 beautiful embryos” according to my coordinator. Now we wait 2 weeks for PGS results and then I guess it’s FET time??
Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal

39 years old DH 41. Sperm looks great. We live in San Diego Me: ****TW loss mentioned*** MTHFR Homozygous 677TT (dx 2016) hypothyroid 8/2018 Off birth control 11/29/2018 CP 2/10/2019. CP 3/8/2019 Saw fertility doctor, AFC 5, labs drawn 3/14/2019 Pregnant 4/18/2019 9 week ultrasound MM , stopped growing at 6 weeks, no HB. D&C 5/2/2019 Return to fertility doctor, labs show AMH 0.27. Diminished Ovarian Reserve 1st of 3 Egg retrievals planned tentatively for July 6/29/2019 started Antagonist Protocol 7/12/2019 First egg retrieval, only retrieved one egg and fell apart immediately, poor quality. 8/7/2019. Second cycle (follicular antagonist) canceled on day 5 of stims when a very large lead follicle grew out of nowhere. 11/8/2019. Second Egg retrieval with Lupron Flare Protocol. 2 eggs retrieved, fertilized with ICSI but no reaction occurred at all. Told I will never have my own babies with my eggs. 12/20/2019 ERA - pre-receptive. CP 1/19/2021 Embryos shipped from Utah to my local clinic, starting prednisone for anti-histamine protocol. 2/26/2021 FET girl embryo BFP. Betas 62, 139, 386! HB at 6 weeks, then baby stopped growing at 8 week check up with weak HB measuring 6 weeks 4 days. MM at 9 weeks. D&C 4/15/21 7/13/2021 FET boy and girl embryos. First beta 10dp5dt 177, 14dp5dt 1631, 16dp5dt 6809. Pregnant with Identical triplets. At 9 weeks, Baby C no longer had a heart beat. Identical Twin Girls. Pregnancy complicated by TRAP Sequence with baby C an Acardiac fetus still receiving blood flow being pumped to it by other girls. Referred to UCSF at 18 weeks for consultation. No intervention needed at this time 2/18/22 After a failed NST, at 34 weeks 1 day, Charlotte born 4lb 4oz and Lily born 4lbs 10 oz. Our hearts are complete. Baby girls in NICU to grow and learn to eat.
@andreamm31 those are my results from a donor cycle. So a very fertile and lovely 29 year old’s donor eggs with DH’s sperm made those embryos. It took me 6 ivf’s (2 which got canceled right before retrieval) to get 7 day 5 embryos and only 2 of those were PGS normal, neither worked. So I have retired my ovaries after 4 years of trying.

Anyway i I went in for a cycle check on Monday. I had finally had my surge last Thursday but when I went in on Monday, it looked like I had 2 deflated follies on my right (cyst?) and one on my left. They were pretty big, 23-25mm. But my numbers were weird apparently, estradiol at 810 and progesterone at 4. The doctor said my numbers didn’t really match up with my ultrasound so I go back tomorrow for another cycle check and we’ll plan my next cycle depending on where I am now (if we can figure it out!).
My protocol is planned as starting on CD2 or 3 and meds as: day 1 and 2: 40 units lupron, 50 units HGH day 3 -10: 40 units lupron, 50 units HGH, follistim 300, menopur 150 may need to stim longer, but this is the tentative plan.
do you all think there’s anything I should be asking about this protocol, to be added or changed? When I go in for baseline after AF starts, I will be sure to ask about my FSH/E2 levels BC I haven’t done any suppression this cycle.
Ok final update from the donor cycle. I have 4 PGT normal embryos. I am so worried that I’ll have implantation issues and this won’t be enough...I do so dream of having 2 kinds and was hoping moving to DOR would give me a chance at this. Just going to try to let go and see what happens. I am a bit traumatized by neither of my 2 PGS normies working, but I’m trying to just let go.
@lucyb1954 I’ve never done a Lupron protocol, I’m sorry that I don’t have much advice there.

@hopefuljj I know it’s so hard to be okay during this! I always feel like I’m just doomed during all this and with all the disappointments building up, it’s no wonder. Anyway I feel for you and I’m optimistic given the odds that you’ll get a sticky embryo.
@lucyb1954 that sounds like a good plan to start your next cycle - don’t be afraid if the baseline labs aren’t good to skip one.
@hopefuljj 4 is an awesome number! I guess you will transfer these one at a time? I don’t think any of us will ever feel we have enough embryos to be honest.

I got very very faint lines at 5 and 6 dp3dt on super sensitive cheapies. Went on Wednesday for a super early first beta at 8dp3dt and it was 36 but my damn progesterone was low again so I’ve added in another injection each day. Second beta today is 95.3, so a 34 hour doubling time which I’m really happy with. Progesterone was in the zone finally.
So today we are pregnant! 3 weeks and 6 days pregnant. DH can’t stop smiling. I can’t quite believe it and am trying not to just keep thinking about what can go wrong... but every twinge... We will do another beta and progesterone check on Tuesday, then if that’s ok we go for our first scan in just under 3 weeks time. I mean, I “might” go do more Betas along the way if I need some reassurance ;-)
This is however tinged with a bit of sadness as my grandfather died last night. Puts the circle of life fully into perspective

@emmasemm YES!!! I'm so, so happy for you! I hope those numbers keep doubling quickly and that you have an uneventful 9 months! I definitely found that regular betas helped keep me sane. See you on the boards I'm very sorry to hear about your grandfather though.

@emmasemm I love that u had the balls to test so early gd bless ya!!! And that u even saw anything. I tested early at 7 and didn’t see a thing and cried and cried but my gf swore there was an ever so faint line and 8dpt I could then agree! And that was from my miracle!! I’m so excited uve already got a doubling beta can’t wait for the next one!! So sorry about grandpa, like the others have said it’s so bittersweet for sure! Keep doing what ur doing and relax!!
@hopefuljj woohoo for normies!!! I know it’s sooo scary at least more then had came back! 4 is a great number no reason you can’t walk away with more then one kid, but let’s first start with one . What’s the best step? I feel like you’ve done all the testing and should be ready to go. Did the era test show ur receptive at a different time?

Hi y’aall. Question for you. Today is CD2 for me. I went in for a baseline and my E2 is 84, FSH level not back yet. I have 3 cysts that seem to be diminishing in size but am going in tomorrow for another E2 test and ultrasound. If my E2 has decreased, my doctor has said I can start stims. But I’m a little wary of starting a cycle with these cysts and am inclined to wait. Any advice from you all? This is my last cycle of IVF and I want it to be as good as it can be.

@lucyb1954 hi! What happened at your scan? Was the E2 down? I have always felt like starting with cysts isn’t the best because sometimes it can keep a follicle from functioning its best but yet I’ve seen ladies with DOR start with that situation and end up pregnant, most recently one with twins, so I don’t honestly know anymore. I personally might wait if it was my last cycle. But then again....I am not helpful here! Too indecisive. I’m sorry.

scan yesterday was okay. The cysts seem to be getting smaller but my E2 level is still at 82 so I can’t do stims this cycle. The doctor wants me to do 3 weeks of BCP to get rid of the cysts but I’m very wary of that because we oversuppressed last time and given this is my last cycle I don’t want to do that again. So I said no to the nurse on that and have a phone appointment with the doctor on Friday to discuss. Fragile X ladies apparently are very prone to getting oversuppressed 🤷♀️
It it was a frustrating day to be sure especially cuz a good friend announced her pregnancy over the weekend.
@lucyb1954 sorry for the delay it such but hang in there as ur time will come!! Not sure that I’m a fan of the suppression so hang in there mama and go with ur gut!! I hated delays and always pushed and pushed and now I when I think back I’m like wow it wasn’t so bad and other times I’m like I should have a 10yr old already! Hang in there I know it’s hard and consumes ur life, see what ur dr says.

@lucyb1954 I think you did really well advocating to not start and to not go on BCP. Why not monitor the cysts weekly and see if they go on their own this month first? Especially if they’re already shrinking.
AFM very short update as I need to finish something at work and go home but...
Beta three is 551!!!!! So a 38 hour doubling time which is great. And again just above the median range for Betas at my DPO. As long as things are running ok I will do a beta again on Monday... but as I need to go to my OB anyhow to “register” my pregnancy I was thinking of waiting til Friday when I should have a beta over1200 and thus should be able to see if the gestational sack is in the uterus... but I’m scared to be honest... will talk to DH tonight as he would want to be there too if I do that But - today I am pregnant!

This morning we went at 4w6d for a super super early first US - and I was so relieved to see a gestational sac in the right place and of the right size! I will do another beta on Monday, just for “fun” aka reassurance but at the moment if no issues then next scan will be the viability one at 6w5d

CP 3/8/2019 Saw fertility doctor, AFC 5, labs drawn 3/14/2019 Pregnant 4/18/2019 9 week ultrasound MM , stopped growing at 6 weeks, no HB. D&C 5/2/2019 Return to fertility doctor, labs show AMH 0.27. Diminished Ovarian Reserve 1st of 3 Egg retrievals planned tentatively for July 6/29/2019 started Antagonist Protocol 7/12/2019 First egg retrieval, only retrieved one egg and fell apart immediately, poor quality. 8/7/2019. Second cycle (follicular antagonist) canceled on day 5 of stims when a very large lead follicle grew out of nowhere. 11/8/2019. Second Egg retrieval with Lupron Flare Protocol. 2 eggs retrieved, fertilized with ICSI but no reaction occurred at all. Told I will never have my own babies with my eggs. 12/20/2019 ERA - pre-receptive. Needed 24 hours more of progesterone 2/2020 CP 3/2/2020 Egg donor cycle in Prague at Unica Clinic, 2 AA embryos, 1 transfer, 1 on ice. BFN. Moving forward with Donor Egg cycle at Utah Fertility Center and sharing a cycle with ladypOtter (Gina) I met on the Bump who was also supposed to go to Prague but couldn't. 9/26/2020 Donor retrieval of 26 eggs, 24 mature. Split cycle so I have 12 eggs with all 12 fertilizing. 6 PGS normal 3 boys, 3 girls 10/29/2020 Transfer day of girl donor egg embryo. BFP! First HCG 92.9. Then inappropriate rise, plateau and falling. Possibly ectopic pregnancy. ER visit with diagnosis of "pregnancy location unknown". CP 1/19/2021 Embryos shipped from Utah to my local clinic, starting prednisone for anti-histamine protocol. 2/26/2021 FET girl embryo BFP. Betas 62, 139, 386! HB at 6 weeks, then baby stopped growing at 8 week check up with weak HB measuring 6 weeks 4 days. MM at 9 weeks. D&C 4/15/21 7/13/2021 FET boy and girl embryos. First beta 10dp5dt 177, 14dp5dt 1631, 16dp5dt 6809. Pregnant with Identical triplets. At 9 weeks, Baby C no longer had a heart beat. Identical Twin Girls. Pregnancy complicated by TRAP Sequence with baby C an Acardiac fetus still receiving blood flow being pumped to it by other girls. Referred to UCSF at 18 weeks for consultation. No intervention needed at this time 2/18/22 After a failed NST, at 34 weeks 1 day, Charlotte born 4lb 4oz and Lily born 4lbs 10 oz. Our hearts are complete. Baby girls in NICU to grow and learn to eat.

Me: Hashimoto Autoimune Disease Homozygous MTHFR Cr677 DOR - AMH .27 High FSH (don't even know how high) 2 iui's to start - BFN IVF 1 -3 made it do day 5! 2 5AA 1 6BB PGS results = all abnormal IVF 2 - stimmed for 19 days. insanity. Had 5 follicles that looked mature but only 2 contained mature eggs the others were empty. Nothing made it to day 5 IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.
FET#1 - Intralipid drips, Prednisone, and did a depot lupron shot before starting the FET protocol Chemical pregnancy FET#2 - PGS normal boy - BFN Natural pregnancy - cycle following the FET2???? Miscarriage at 8 weeks. viability scan had shown an enlarged yolk sac so I had been warned that it was likely not chromosonally normal
DEIVF cycle - picked a donor who is willing to be open! Her cycle resulted in in 4 PGS Normal embryos 1st transfer - chemical pregnancy 2nd transfer - success, May 17 2020 due date!

And @hopefuljj I hope you get your FET schedule, I’ve also been thinking about you ❤️ AFM, my body is just kind of helter skelter after my canceled cycle. My doctor and I agreed on doing a 6-7 day estrace lead in to prevent lead follies but I got a positive result from an OPK today when I’m only on CD11 and usually ovulate on CD15 or 16. Given that I’m getting some of these false positives (bloodwork confirmed it was a false positive) she’s thinking to do a natural lead in. I’m kind of wanting to just keep going in for bloodwork to monitor ovulation. It takes my body so long to recover from these cycles that I don’t want a lead follie developing and having another skipped or cancelled cycle.
The cysts are continuing to go down but my right ovary likes to get buried in my guts so it’s hard to see sometimes how big the cysts still are. But if they were as big as last time we’d definitely have seen them, you couldn’t miss them!
Anyway, mostly just feeling tired of all these setbacks. It’s definitely exhausting and if this cycle doesn’t go well I’m moving on to DE. I’m just ready to have a kiddo ❤️

Ugh. Cycle check today and another look at those cysts. I had an ultrasonographer rather than a RN today and got super weird measurements that I have some serious doubts about. I’m coming up on ovulation time and had a follicle at 10mm Tuesday. My lining was a lot thicker than last time about 16mm as she measured it. However today she measured that follicle at 7.5 which makes NO sense. I wonder if she was actually measuring a cyst. I don’t know. Serious frustration here, still waiting on the blood test results.
@lucyb1954 I always hated if someone different or using a different machine did my US as I know each person does them a bit differently. Hooe the blood test results give you some answers
AFM, I’m becoming a bit of a beta addict...
Today we are over 14,000! So next week at the US we should be able to see everything we need to and hear a HB - and if anything’s not there then no excuses of “maybe it’s too early” possible. Whatever happens, I like clearcut. But the rise is once again text book and my symptoms are ramping up. Yesterday evening I had a complete meltdown because DH hadn’t emptied the dishwasher... and him cooking onions had me sitting in the bathroom for half an hour. I’ve never been so happy to feel sick. I smile whenever I feel it coming on! Next “reassurance beta” on Monday with a load of other bloodwork - plus had another Intralipids Infusion today

4/20/2020. BFP trying on our own!
06/04/2020 After HBs at 7 and 9 weeks, MM at 10 weeks 3 days. D&C, Hemorrhaged out 1 liter of blood from uterine artery rupture during procedure. Spent 1 night in the hospital with a balloon tamponade in my uterus. Baby was mosaic Trisomy 21.
8/2020. Moving forward with Donor Egg cycle at Utah Fertility Center and sharing a cycle with ladypOtter (Gina) I met on the Bump who was also supposed to go to Prague but couldn't.
9/26/2020 Donor retrieval of 26 eggs, 24 mature. Split cycle so I have 12 eggs with all 12 fertilizing. 6 PGS normal 3 boys, 3 girls
10/29/2020 Transfer day of girl donor egg embryo. BFP! First HCG 92.9. Then inappropriate rise, plateau and falling. Possibly ectopic pregnancy. ER visit with diagnosis of "pregnancy location unknown". CP
1/19/2021 Embryos shipped from Utah to my local clinic, starting prednisone for anti-histamine protocol.
2/26/2021 FET girl embryo BFP. Betas 62, 139, 386! HB at 6 weeks, then baby stopped growing at 8 week check up with weak HB measuring 6 weeks 4 days. MM at 9 weeks. D&C 4/15/21
7/13/2021 FET boy and girl embryos. First beta 10dp5dt 177, 14dp5dt 1631, 16dp5dt 6809. Pregnant with Identical triplets. At 9 weeks, Baby C no longer had a heart beat. Identical Twin Girls. Pregnancy complicated by TRAP Sequence with baby C an Acardiac fetus still receiving blood flow being pumped to it by other girls. Referred to UCSF at 18 weeks for consultation. No intervention needed at this time
2/18/22 After a failed NST, at 34 weeks 1 day, Charlotte born 4lb 4oz and Lily born 4lbs 10 oz. Our hearts are complete. Baby girls in NICU to grow and learn to eat.

IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS

Anyway i I went in for a cycle check on Monday. I had finally had my surge last Thursday but when I went in on Monday, it looked like I had 2 deflated follies on my right (cyst?) and one on my left. They were pretty big, 23-25mm. But my numbers were weird apparently, estradiol at 810 and progesterone at 4. The doctor said my numbers didn’t really match up with my ultrasound so I go back tomorrow for another cycle check and we’ll plan my next cycle depending on where I am now (if we can figure it out!).
My protocol is planned as starting on CD2 or 3 and meds as:
day 1 and 2: 40 units lupron, 50 units HGH
day 3 -10: 40 units lupron, 50 units HGH, follistim 300, menopur 150
may need to stim longer, but this is the tentative plan.
do you all think there’s anything I should be asking about this protocol, to be added or changed? When I go in for baseline after AF starts, I will be sure to ask about my FSH/E2 levels BC I haven’t done any suppression this cycle.

@hopefuljj 4 is an awesome number! I guess you will transfer these one at a time? I don’t think any of us will ever feel we have enough embryos to be honest.

Went on Wednesday for a super early first beta at 8dp3dt and it was 36 but my damn progesterone was low again so I’ve added in another injection each day.
Second beta today is 95.3, so a 34 hour doubling time which I’m really happy with. Progesterone was in the zone finally.
So today we are pregnant! 3 weeks and 6 days pregnant.
DH can’t stop smiling.
I can’t quite believe it and am trying not to just keep thinking about what can go wrong... but every twinge...
We will do another beta and progesterone check on Tuesday, then if that’s ok we go for our first scan in just under 3 weeks time. I mean, I “might” go do more Betas along the way if I need some reassurance ;-)
This is however tinged with a bit of sadness as my grandfather died last night.

I tested early at 7 and didn’t see a thing and cried and cried but my gf swore there was an ever so faint line and 8dpt I could then agree! And that was from my miracle!! I’m so excited uve already got a doubling beta can’t wait for the next one!! So sorry about grandpa, like the others have said it’s so bittersweet for sure! Keep doing what ur doing and relax!!

scan yesterday was okay. The cysts seem to be getting smaller but my E2 level is still at 82 so I can’t do stims this cycle. The doctor wants me to do 3 weeks of BCP to get rid of the cysts but I’m very wary of that because we oversuppressed last time and given this is my last cycle I don’t want to do that again. So I said no to the nurse on that and have a phone appointment with the doctor on Friday to discuss. Fragile X ladies apparently are very prone to getting oversuppressed 🤷♀️
It it was a frustrating day to be sure especially cuz a good friend announced her pregnancy over the weekend.

AFM very short update as I need to finish something at work and go home but...
As long as things are running ok I will do a beta again on Monday... but as I need to go to my OB anyhow to “register” my pregnancy I was thinking of waiting til Friday when I should have a beta over1200 and thus should be able to see if the gestational sack is in the uterus... but I’m scared to be honest... will talk to DH tonight as he would want to be there too if I do that

IVF 3 - added in HGH - 4 mature follicles (had some empties again) 3 made it to day 5/6 for PGS (held for testing with next retrieval
IVF 4 - Upped my dosage for the first time - Canceled 11 days into sims - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 5 - Canceled - looked like 1 follicle and we were afraid it was empty
IVF 6 - 3 mature, 2 fertalized 1 made it to day 5 and sent for PGS
Sent in IVF round 3 and 6 (4 embryos) for PGS testing and got 2 normal embryos!!! 1Boy and 1Girl. Took a little over a year to get those two embryos so demanded all sorts of test prior to attempting transfer. Did EFT, ERA and NK Cells testing.

06/04/2020 After HBs at 7 and 9 weeks, MM at 10 weeks 3 days. D&C, Hemorrhaged out 1 liter of blood from uterine artery rupture during procedure. Spent 1 night in the hospital with a balloon tamponade in my uterus. Baby was mosaic Trisomy 21.
8/2020. Moving forward with Donor Egg cycle at Utah Fertility Center and sharing a cycle with ladypOtter (Gina) I met on the Bump who was also supposed to go to Prague but couldn't.
9/26/2020 Donor retrieval of 26 eggs, 24 mature. Split cycle so I have 12 eggs with all 12 fertilizing. 6 PGS normal 3 boys, 3 girls

7/13/2021 FET boy and girl embryos. First beta 10dp5dt 177, 14dp5dt 1631, 16dp5dt 6809. Pregnant with Identical triplets. At 9 weeks, Baby C no longer had a heart beat. Identical Twin Girls. Pregnancy complicated by TRAP Sequence with baby C an Acardiac fetus still receiving blood flow being pumped to it by other girls. Referred to UCSF at 18 weeks for consultation. No intervention needed at this time
2/18/22 After a failed NST, at 34 weeks 1 day, Charlotte born 4lb 4oz and Lily born 4lbs 10 oz. Our hearts are complete. Baby girls in NICU to grow and learn to eat.
I have just returned from travels and including the Alaska cruise and will catch up and see everyone's progress.

The cysts are continuing to go down but my right ovary likes to get buried in my guts so it’s hard to see sometimes how big the cysts still are. But if they were as big as last time we’d definitely have seen them, you couldn’t miss them!
Anyway, mostly just feeling tired of all these setbacks. It’s definitely exhausting and if this cycle doesn’t go well I’m moving on to DE. I’m just ready to have a kiddo ❤️

Hooe the blood test results give you some answers
AFM, I’m becoming a bit of a beta addict...
Yesterday evening I had a complete meltdown because DH hadn’t emptied the dishwasher... and him cooking onions had me sitting in the bathroom for half an hour. I’ve never been so happy to feel sick. I smile whenever I feel it coming on!
Next “reassurance beta” on Monday with a load of other bloodwork - plus had another Intralipids Infusion today
