Trying to Get Pregnant

@mvt2003 good luck at your 10k tonight! Hopefully it’s not as hot wherever you are as it is here!

@bows22 lol, glad I could make you smile! Starbucks sounds so good right now

@inthewoods23 I’m so sorry about your anniversary yesterday. DH also has a problem setting boundaries with work and will drop everything at any time to get things done / take calls / etc. It drives me up the wall because like...he has a life too??? Sorry that happened, yesterday of all days.
  • @mvt2003 good luck on the 10k!

@b_1029 I also very much have those caretaker instincts so it just increases my anger when I feel like I do everything for him when he doesn't do anything for me or follow my simple ass instructions for keeping my anxiety down (messes in our house drive me bonkers). 2 soda cans, an empty torn up bag of pretzels, and an empty bag of a pistachio snack all left in our living room! Guh clean up after yourself! DH has never lived by himself. It's either been him living with his parents or with me so he's lazy as all hell on that crap.

Ok rant over. Better get myself into zen mode since I'm off through next week after today 🧘 yay vacation!

WAYDTGKU:  PNV, FF, BBT, OPKs, Softcups, and the obvious.

R/R:  This is the latest O I've had in a normal cycle since I started tracking.  Probably all the stress in our lives lately, I suppose.  Finally got a blazing positive OPK last night, so we got in a quickie before bed and then plan to try for some ninja sex tonight.  My brother, sister, and cousin are all staying with us, but thankfully they're downstairs on the other side of the house.  Although my brother keeps talking about camping in the yard (we live in the woods, so it's pretty close to authentic camping), and it's been warm, so all of the windows will be open, so hopefully we can be stealthy enough.

CS/Q: Anyone else using Softcups?  How long do you keep them in for?  I put it in right after we DTD last night before bed, and it's still in.  I hate taking them out at work, so I'm hoping to leave it in until I get home later.  That shouldn't be an issue, right?  For periods, they say 12 hours, but I think that's just based on what they can hold, which doesn't really apply here.  Anyway... O should be happening any time now.  Just waiting on that temp spike.

@inthewoods23 Ugh, I'm sorry about the crappy anniversary.  MH sucks at stuff like that, too.  And also, +1 for him leaving messes everywhere.  With him it's beer cans, and I'm like "WTF dude!?  This isn't a frat house!"  Oh and socks on the floor.  I see red when I find socks on the floor, beer cans, and snack wrappers the next morning.  I hope he makes it up to you over vacation!

@shamrocandroll allegedly it’s supposed to help with CM. Not to be too graphic but I feel like I’m always lacking in that department, so anything I can do to help!  @brookert615 can probably speak to it more.

  • *lurking again... LOL

DH's doctor told him to try Mucinex since it loosens up CM and semen. DH and I both were taking it for my May cycle as prescribed during my FW. You could definitely tell the difference! Just make sure it's just plain Mucinex that just has the guaifenesin! It can't have anything else in it :).

@inthewoods23 @shamrocandroll +1 for the insanely messy/frustrating DH. My 2 biggest things are laundry (that I do, fold, and put on the desk in the guest room where his closet is) and leaving his shoes all throughout the guest room. Here they are in all their glory. You can see how close they are to the stupid closet, wtf dude. Husbands are so dumb sometimes.

  • @b_1029 Enjoy the time WFH. Sounds nice. Also, congrats on the quick weight loss. Sorry you are so exhausted. Maybe you can sneak in a nap as a lunch break.

@mvt2003 Good luck with the 10K. Hope today helps you prepare and you don’t live in literally hell temperatures like I do.

@inthewoods23 Sorry about the crappy anniversary. That is no good. Hope things go better with the vacation. Also, why don’t men ever wear sunscreen? My H has a terrible sunburn from finishing our pergola yesterday because he just forgot to use the sunscreen I bought and left out for him in an obvious place.

@shamrocandroll Good luck with the stealthy time tonight. Hope it does the trick. Sorry about the late O. It’s probably from the stress.

I've been hanging in the TTCAL thread, but hoping it's okay if I hop in here now that I have a better idea of where I'm at.

    Month/Cycle: 8/7/1 AL

    CD: 3

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, PNVs, Vitamin D, trying to stay stress free :)

R/R: I think I go here now! rant/rave combo is that its a super weird work week! We are closed tomorrow (I run a childcare facility) and open Friday. Which makes today super light on kids and Friday is SUPER light on kids. So lots of staff questions and finding things for those that want hours to do. I'm not a huge 4th fan (my dog hates fireworks and it makes me sad) but always feel like we should make plans.

CS/Q:  I will put a little bit more about me in a spoiler due to length and MC TW!

I had a blighted ovum that was kind of found at 8 weeks, and confirmed on US at 10 weeks. Had a D&C at the end of May. Was happy to get AF! I have 'Day 3' bloodwork today that I requested my doctor do (I've hit my deductible anyway so might as well) even though its my first loss. I don't know exactly what I'm looking for but feel like I will have more confidence going into what is hopefully another pregnancy with a few more answers. Right now I'm just nervous as hell! Anyone have experience with Day 3 results and what I should look for?

I really hope I did that right! If I didn't please let me know!!

  • mhamikmhamik member
@inthewoods23 - That is SO frustrating and such a crappy feeling! I'm glad you were able to make peace and laugh at the end of the day, if that isn't a real marriage I don't know what is.

@b_1029 - I have heard the mucinex thing as well! Sounds promising!

@misshelen86 - Haircuts are the best. I cut six inches off a week ago after 'growing' my hair out for a year. Feels amazing!

@mercury94 - I feel you on the holiday thing. We are closed for tomorrow but that's it.

@shamrocandroll - Having to be stealthy is kind of fun I think! Good luck!
  • @misshelen86 ooohh scalp massage! Sounds lovely!

@mercury94 my SIL works at a place that is open Christmas Eve. There are some places though that completely close the days between Christmas and New year's!

@b_1029 what is with men and not having the ability to move something a foot to it's proper location?? 😆 For goodness sakes!!

  • @inthewoods23 @b_1029 It's so infuriating.  I like that you're able to laugh about it, at least.  MH also loves to throw laundry at the hamper instead of in it, so we end up with a completely empty hamper with clothes scattered all around it.  It makes me ragey.  For a while, he was doing the same thing with tissues and the bathroom trash, but eventually I threatened him with murder and he finally got better about that.  Stop pretending you're Shaq taking free throws, dude!!!

@misshelen86 Ooooooh, scalp massage.  Yes please!  GL at the gastro!

@mercury94 ugh I feel like Friday should be a holiday too. I work in finance and we follow stock market holidays/they tend to be busiest around the holidays so I feel your pain

@misshelen86 I also worked in gastro for a few years and have a lot of great resources depending on what it is- what do they think is going on if you don’t mind me asking?

@shamrocandroll I feel you, only we’re the ones staying with my sister so that’s partially why we are starting SMEP today instead of tomorrow. Good luck my fellow ninja

WAYDTGKU: going for SMEP but starting today instead of tomorrow because of logistics

R/R: ugh my wedding photos. I posted on a random but the TL;DR was our contract said 7 weeks. No update so I reached out. That was ignored and I reached out again Wednesday and she said they were done just her pickiness and we’d have them by Sunday evening at the latest. Sunday came and went, nothing. Monday, nothing. I reached out Tuesday and she sent us a link to the album, cited a family emergency and that they were uploading with “slow internet” at her in-laws. Only half the photos have uploaded and they randomly go up 20 at a time after a few hours/nothing overnight which makes me think she’s just still working on them and uploading as she goes which is annoying. We paid 4K so it’s not like this is a cheap random photographer. The good news is the photos we do have are good but still annoying. We don’t have ONE photo yet of just us, smiling normal in the camera so THAT is a little worrisome lol
