Upcoming appts: July 11 labwork for genetic screen
How are you feeling?: I’m still feeling crummy. The only thing that keeps the nausea somewhat at bay is eating, but I’m constantly eating... and I’m constipated. Something must give!
Rants/Raves: I’m excited about a short work week with July 4th! But, I’m also bummed I won’t get to drink on the 4th. Blah.
Questions: none
GTKY: What do you do for a living? I’m an attorney.
How are you feeling?: yesterday I felt so good! It was such a nice break from the nausea.
Rants/Raves: Summer break has my oldest DDs fighting from sun up to sun down. It’s obnoxious.
Questions: none
GTKY: What do you do for a living? I’m a stay at home mom for the most part but I do work VERY part time (8 hrs a week) as a nursery director for my church. My kids get to come with me to work so I’m always mommin.
Upcoming appts: going to call this week to get my genetic testing scheduled
How are you feeling?: the nausea is letting up a little bit but still feeling exhausted!
Rants/Raves: my DD used to wake up later, sleeping in till 8 am but ever since we have night weaned her, she wakes up at 5:30 in the morning. Not sure what we will do with another baby! Hopefully she doesn't wake the other one up. Just exhausted today cuz she was up early... I'm being grumpy right now.
Upcoming appts: July 16 for first prenatal checkup
How are you feeling?: really good. The nausea abated over the weekend and I am hoping that holds. Still really tired, but that is much more manageable than being sick all the time.
Rants/Raves: we decided to start telling friends and extended family this week. My dad is super relieved because he is the worst at keeping secrets.
Questions:
GTKY: What do you do for a living? Currently housewife/finishing my masters. As of August, I will be working as a mental health therapist in a small, local university. It's the same place I did the internship for my masters and I am so excited to be going back.
Baby is the size of a(n): My baby could fit on a penny today.
Upcoming appts: July 11th!! Can't wait!
How are you feeling?: Generally pretty good. I have stated it makes me nervous but I am just going to start being thankful that I am not feeling absolutely miserable.
Rants/Raves: Sooo glad we got our pool set up so I can relax and float in the pool this weekend!
Questions:
GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work in the office of a water utility company. I have been here 13 years. But am currently thinking of making a change to becoming a para educator because having all the breaks and summers off with my daughter and soon to be LO, sounds so appealing. I am forking out so much money for camps this summer, the thought of spending it for two makes me want to throw up. lol
How are you feeling?: starting to feel a bit better with less nausea throughout the day. Acne is still raging though 🤦🏼♀️
Rants/Raves: We saw our healthy, growing baby last week and we shared the news with our immediate family this past weekend. It was so fun and we’re excited to know that everyone is just as thrilled to meet this little one as we are!
Questions: none
GTKY: What do you do for a living? I am a content writer
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: haven’t decided!
Baby is the size of a(n): blackberry
Upcoming appts: July 23rd we have the first ultrasound
How are you feeling?: slightly tired. But that could also be my 2 1/2 year old’s energy wearing me out.
Rants/Raves: I have I see an endocrinologist for my thyroid. Just not looking forward to more doctors appointments. I’m starting to feel old 😂
Questions: Anyone have good suggestions for good bras?
GTKY: What do you do for a living; I work for a MCO as a care manager. I complete clinical reviews with psych hospitals and drug and alcohol facilities for children and adults.
Upcoming appts: July 8 for first OB appointment. Was just released by my RE a week ahead of schedule! (IVF pregnancy)
How are you feeling?: Mostly tired. Had constant nausea for the last 2 weeks but seems to be lessening. Also constantly hungry.
Rants/Raves: My husband and I are redoing our landscaping. I enjoy gardening and it’s something we both love doing together. Since we struggled for so long to get pregnant and I had some complications after our retrieval procedure from “doing too much too soon”, my husband is watching me like a hawk and not letting me do things that I normally would. I know it’s because he’s worried, but I feel like I’m missing out on something I enjoy and he doesn’t do things quite like I would (I’m very type A and he’s more go with the flow). I feel like I’m constantly standing over him asking him to do things a certain way, and then he gets annoyed. Which wouldn’t have to happen if he would just let me do it myself. Ugh! 😂
Questions: None
GTKY: What do you do for a living? I’m an interior designer.
@blairwaldorf20 My first appointment was yesterday as well. I also saw a heartbeat and good measurements! So great that you're being supported for a VBAC!
How are you feeling?: nauseated and tired, currently struggling with headaches and I can’t decide if it’s hormonal or hydration related.
Rants/Raves: the only way to stop the nausea is to eat but nothing sounds good! It’s killing me! On the up side my kids have been letting me sleep late so that’s kind of a miracle!
Questions: none that I can think of
GTKY: What do you do for a living? I’m mostly home with my kids, but I’m also a childbirth educator, and doula.
Team finding out/pink/blue/green: still want to hold out and wait!
Baby is the size of a(n): Denise's Pygmy Seahorse lol
Upcoming appts: 7/15
How are you feeling?: Relieved. So relieved. Symptoms about the same.
Rants/Raves: Got my "new" car today, I can sleep in tomorrow, got to see the nugget on an ultrasound with a heartbeat. Still can't believe it haha. Makes me sad I was so negative and doubtful, but maybe this is just apart of a 2 year healing process.
Questions: What are you guys doing this weekend?
GTKY: What do you do for a living? I'm an MRI technologist. I am a flex tech so I scan neuro, body ANYTHING, and musculoskeletal cases. We have about 45 scanners, so it makes me a lil cray sometimes but I love it. Blessed to work where I do.
@plusbabymakes8 I think being a doula would be so cool! What's one of your most memorable birth experiences?
@tashia5587 I can't definitely relate to you in trying to figure how to navigate this pregnancy! Since day one I have been trying to just take it one day at a time but it has been easier said than done!
@bg122785 My biggest worry was that I didn't feel bad enough with my symptoms but today disproved that! I think we all experience it differently!
Upcoming appts: July 10 for 1st checkup with my OB (after ‘graduating’ from IVF clinic), but apparently will not have an ultrasound?
How are you feeling?: Nausea and good aversions continue...blech. Generally pretty tired but not dealing with any extreme fatigue.
Rants/Raves: I ate a lobster roll yesterday and enjoyed it, which felt like a July 4 triumph in the midst of general food aversions! Also re-discovering summer smoothies, which taste delicious in my present state and are at least one way to get something in my body that isn’t a beige-colored carb.
Questions: If I’m not getting an US next week at my 10-week checkup with my OB, how do they confirm that the pregnancy continues to be viable? Do you think that will be through Doppler? I’ve had two friends who experienced missed miscarriages, so this is on my mind.
GTKY: What do you do for a living? I work in biotech.
