Random Spotting-Scary!

Hey all! Just thought I would post hoping to see if others have been dealing with the same issue. I'm 13 weeks and had some spotting early on, obvi nothing serious. But this past weekend the spotting lead to a large a large circle of blood on my pad and continued. Doctor had me go to ER and the baby is thankfully ok! They dont know where the bleeding was coming from, but it was just heavier spotting then I was used to. I thought I was past this point. Has anyone else went though this. This is my first baby,  and I was IVF so anything happening to this baby scares me!

    Hi and welcome! I’m so sorry you are experiencing this.  We have a thread dedicated to spotting so posting there would get more responses. We discourage one off posts as it clutters the board and we like to keep it organized. I hope the spotting stops for you soon and everything is ok!

    @AllisonE1982, I've also been spotting for about 2.5 weeks (also first pregnancy other than 1 loss years ago), and I know how scary it can be. I'm sorry you're going through this! Mine is due to a large subchorionic hematoma (SCH). I've read that SCHs are more common in IVF, but are sometimes hard to identify on ultrasound. It may be something to ask the dr about though. Wishing you the best and keep us posted!

    I had some heavier than normal spotting this weekend, with a circle that sounds about the same size as yours.  H and I did have sex, so I think that's what led to it, though I wish it wasn't such a large amount. I am not bleeding anymore.   I have my first ultrasound tomorrow, so I am hopeful that baby will be doing okay. ((hugs))  Pregnancy is so stressful.
