Re: Weekly Randoms w/o 7/1
They're having the guys who light up the fireworks for their town's show (the H knows the guys) set off either pink or blue fireworks before the actual show starts for their gender reveal - and they mentioned it would be in front of 250,000 people!!! My heart goes out to all the people at that show dealing with IF and MCs 😨

@shamrocandroll I hate any time I’m forced to watch a video of myself. It is the worst. Glad yours wasn’t too bad. Maybe you can convince them to remove the one unflattering shot.
@b_1029 I got a ton of OPKs from a relative and I was super excited until I realized they’d been expired for months. I did use them along with others and I think they were still okay.

Also, that last comment about how “you do you, you’ve earned it” had me typing out some ban-worthy stuff. But I woo-saaa’d and came here.
Some people spend thousands of dollars to get PG visiting doctors trying to figure out what's wrong, waiting month after month for test results, going through surgeries and procedures while others have never even had a hint of worry about conceiving (aka the Unicorns). And there are probably people out there who have never bought a BBT or OPKs or even know what those are!
PGs after IF and MCs are well deserved.

Grocery stores near me do this with the fresh meat. If the sell by date is in the next day or 2 they discount it by 20% to get people to buy it. I'll purchase that if it's something I planned on making that night.

I just personally hate the captive audience thing. It's like, you want to propose at a sportsball game, OK. But you wanna do it on the pitchers mound before/during game when EVERYONE is forced to be there and watch it... NOT OK. So if the firework things ends up being like a test firework beforehand and no one knows what's up, then OK. But if it's gonna be announced or they're gonna start screaming in excitement afterwards or whatever, then NOT OK. Please stop forcing other people to be participants in YOUR life. Newsflash, we (or at least I) don't care. I don't care about your proposal. And I definitely don't care about your PG announcement/gender reveal. And if I'm FORCED to watch it because it's at a public event where I can NOT get away from it, I'm going to wish you an awful, evil death...

And plus also, I've never heard of anyone doing a gender reveal in a public space like that? Maaaybe at a park on a non-holiday, but otherwise they're always at someone's house. I get doing proposals in public places since it could be where the first date was, where they first said "I love you" or whatever, but with gender reveals it just doesn't make sense to do it that way.
