Advice needed- Teacher starting new job and have to miss a training day.

I am starting at and new school and new school system. I have my 10 week ultrasound the last day of mandatory new teacher orientation. Luckily it will be at my school, not county hr.

My dr office will only do exams Tuesday-Thursday from 9 am-2 pm and it’s over an hour (maybe more with traffic) from my school. It is the last appt I have with my IVF dr before the release me to by normal OB.

How would you tell your principal? I don’t want to miss any of it, but I’m stuck between last day of cou ty training OR first two days of school training.

    You can say you have a procedure that needs to be done that day and provide a general dr’s note if required.

    Yeah just say you’ll provide a doctors note and get one from your appointment.

    Also when you tell them about missing a day ask if there’s anything you can do in advance to prepare for the time you will miss.  You will look responsible and sound like you are still trying to make the training a priority.
