I was offered the job I applied and interviewed for before I was pregnant! I told them I was about 5-6 weeks pregnant and negotiated salary since I wont qualify for maternity leave, and they approved! I'm signing the paperwork and doing the background checks now. I start August 26th and I'm so excited!
Congrats @elmann1 that's awesome! Also way to negotiate!
I feel that I deserve a trophy for being at my work today. I'm nauseated and exhausted and my pants don't fit right, but maternity work pants are still too big. Showing up and accomplishing anything feels like a lot!
That's a big deal these days, I'm tired all the time, but have restless sleep, and no caffeine.
@craftywitch Yesterday I did not button my pants, I just wore a long shirt to cover them! Also sometimes it takes more than one try to get my pants buttoned correctly. I think by late this summer I'll be trying to wear stretchy skirts every day.
I was able to convince DH that we should do an ultrasound at this place that does a bunch of elective ultrasound services. They have a sneak peek option where you can go at 8 weeks. SO EXCITED!
@pirateduck I'd definitely be celebrating a good night's sleep too, good for you!
I'm celebrating the fact that my pants haven't split yet today....no, really. I'm so bloated and they're so tight, I'm really testing the limits here! I think I'll be pulling out the maternity pants a little earlier than anticipated....I honestly can't wait. Why can't all pants be as comfortable as maternity pants?

For anyone with pants issues, look into waistband / pant extenders! I personally found maternity pants and dresses to be easier.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Im celebrating that my morning sickness has finally kicked in this week. 8 weeks without any symptoms except my pants are a little tight and my girls dont fit. I know everyone else is miserable with ms, but for me it makes it more real and tells me things are progressing. I'm not going to lie, I've been pretty down in the dumps the last three weeks balling my eyes out over everything. Feeling like it either isnt true or I will lose it. And due to scheduling differences I wont see the dr until almost 12 weeks, July 17th.
the only pants extenders I have seen require pants that button, but most of my work slacks have those little metal clips instead... I must do some internet searching, I can't be the only pregnant mom to work an office job and wear slacks. Of course my most comfortable black work pants are LOST somewhere in my house in my husband's clothes most likely.

I am so happy to hear others talking about maternity pants. I know it’s too early but I’m so ready to start tanking that soft stretchiness up to my bra again.

I went and tried on new bras the other day because my biggest complaint right now is the sore boobs. I was extremely overwhelmed and was not thrilled with what I found, so I walked away with a few new LONG undershirts but no bras. I'm quite tall and my midriff (and plumbers crack) has a way of creeping out already, and now with pants not fitting quite right I fear it will become a serious problem! I'm hoping that maternity pants will resolve this problem soon, but I think I need to grow a bit more first.

Pffftt......it's NEVER too early!! This bloat is real and I don't care, I want to be comfortable! I've used extenders in the past, they worked well until I wanted to splurge on the maternity clothes. But now that I already have stuff from my last pregnancy I'm pulling it out and rocking it with no shame. No one else has any idea that they're maternity pants, but my bloated belly sure does! It's such a relief.
