Re: 3rd trimester check in w/o 6/10

    • How far along / EDD? 30+6.... that took me a minute to calculate!
    • How is everyone feeling this week? not too bad, just plugging away
    • Upcoming appointments? MW next week and then on to every other week appointments
    • Questions? nope
    • GTKY: what do you do to keep yourself busy and release the stress during this last home stretch?  life is just busy, so I don't have to try to hard at that. I'm really hoping I can finish the baby blanket for this kiddo before it comes.... as for stress... umm I'm not feeling much stress (or I'm ignoring it...)
    I hope you ladies are doing well this week

  • @wabash15 I always enjoy reading your updates. Are you knitting or quilting the blanket?
    • How far along / EDD? Jules 18 / 34+6
    • How is everyone feeling this week?  General uncomfortable feeling, luckily LO moved of my diaphragm last night so I can take deep breaths. Last night I tried to sneeze and it hurt so badly. (I just yawned and I guess baby is still there a little)
    • Upcoming appointments? Last week without an appointment!
    • Questions? I know this is the cart before the bourse but I’ve been thinking if I’d want to go on BC after LO is not.  I know there are stories of naturally getting KU after IF but I want to use my younger tested embryos if we decide to have another.
    • GTKY? I’m staying busy implementing my maternity plan with my client, getting newborn photo shoot scheduled and getting the cleaning company scheduled again.

    @blackhottamales your getting so close! I think the BC decision is a really personal one. We chose not to after the twins because we wanted more and because it hadn't happened without help. After DD2 I again chose not to go back on it because after 4+ years of actively trying with great timing it never happened and science didn't work every time I thought the chances of us doing it on our own were next to 0. Low and behold we had the surprise of our lives with this one. (thankfully we were more than ok with a 4th). The thing about BC is your not committed to it forever, so you can always change your mind and get off it.  Just some other food for thought (and everyone is different) it took me 13 months to get a PP period and 9 months with DD2 I was EBF with all of them

    eta: I forgot to answer your question! I am knitting it. I have knit a blanket for all the kids... though with the last one I did not measure well and it ended up being 8 ft long! oops

    • How far along / EDD? 33 weeks 6 days / July 25th BUT c-section schedule @36 weeks on June 27th
    • How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling ok they typical aches and pains but all in all can’t complain
    • Upcoming appointments? Fri for my 34 week u/s and my last chance for the damn previa to MOVE! If it moved i can cancel the c-section but if not we’ll be seeing this little guy on 6/27... also an app on Tue 6/18 doing a strep b test
    • Questions?
    • GTKY: what do you do to keep yourself busy and release the stress during this last home stretch?  Just trying to relax and not think too much into things. We have everything prepared for this lil guy and being home on bed rest has been relaxing.
    @blackhottamales I agree with wabash, BC is a personal decision. If it makes you feel more comfortable go for it!

    @wabash15 Love that you knit! My co-worker knitted the most beautiful blanket for
    our lil guy. I’m so impressed by her skills!!

  • @wabash15 wow!  Somehow I must have not have realised this will be baby no 4 for you!  That's awesome!  ...bc math you know, 2+1...+1... I know, not that hard. ;)  but its nice to still see some bigger families happening!

    @ndz2018 omg that blanket really is gorgeous!  I'm afraid I can't help you as to how to relax, I worked too close to the end and had too much left I wanted to do - and I went 11 days late! Lol. Fx things move for you and you can avoid a section.

    @BusinessWife growing up I was always in love with the original story/book "cheaper by the dozen" and thought it would be amazing to have 12 kids... now, nope, not happening but there is something wonderful in the chaos of a bigger family.

    eta: @ndz2018 I am still a bit of a basic knitter, but I find it is both soothing and keeps my hands busy at the same time.  fx for a good US tomorrow.

    • How far along / EDD? 35w6d
    • How is everyone feeling this week? Tired! Can't sleep well and I'm super busy with work it's exhausted! Can't wait to go on leave!
    • Upcoming appointments? Next Wednesday then will go every week! And she will start checking if I start dilating, so I'm pretty excited about that, and the strep test
    • Questions? Not at this point
    • GTKY: what do you do to keep yourself busy and release the stress during this last home stretch? Although I'm super busy at work, the few hours left I have to myself before going to bed can be pretty stressful, my house is a mess, my mom is coming next weekend, I have my maternity pictures scheduled this weekend and all these lil things that should excite me are stressing me out coz I feel like they don't fall as perfectly that I have pictured in my head, so I'm like oh well at this point and don't wanna add more stress. I had another babyshower at work, it was fun and i got a lot of gifts but instead of being grateful I'm more like ugh that's more cleaning and organizing! The nursery room is full of gifts! I need help to release that stress and I don't know what to do! I Still feel like I'm missing something as far as getting ready for the baby. I'm gonna trying to breathe and get these last things done by next week and hope to feel better.
  • @babydust2507 I don't think anyone ever has anything just the way we want it prior to birth... and that's OK. Its Ok to give yourself some grace. As for getting ready for baby all you really need is a car seat, diapers and a place for the baby to sleep. the rest you will find what works for you and the baby and what doesnt. Every baby is different and they don't read the book so sometimes what you have carefully researched and think is the best choice your kid will toss out the window. Other times your best laid plans go off without a hitch. hang in there!

  • Thank you @wabash15 that makes me feel better. I didn't get any sleep last night and I'm feeling sick today, sore throat, running nose and I even threw up and I have my maternity pictures scheduled this afternoon, hope I won't be looking like crap in the pictures 🙄

    @wabash15
    yep, that was what my parents told me when we learned baby girl was going to arrive early and we had absolutely NOTHING ready. Ordered a car seat from the hospital room, DH set up the bassinet and pack n'play, and my mom did a Target run for baby essentials like diapers. We did just fine and baby was happy! You'll get everything sorted and fall into a groove eventually and a baby doesn't care about all of the little details that bother us.

    I also loved those books -- Cheaper by the Dozen. I always wanted a big family but I became more realistic with my husband being super pragmatic and then obv. the journey not going quite as expected. It is fun when my sister and I and our kiddos get together for a family dinner or party  --- so much chaos with just the three little girls rushing everywhere! Always someone calling out, "Where's 'so and so'???" "Oh, she's over here in the kitchen!!".  And usually someone plays with the dog's water bowl or something like that.

    @babydust2507
    I'm sure you'll look lovely in the pictures and they will be a great memory for you AND your little one! Feel better and try to get some rest :smile:

    I know!  I have a little feel of 'big family' life since one of my aunts has 7 children and we were very close to those cousins, staying for summer trips, holidays, etc. They lived on a farm and there were so many places to play where we probably shouldn't have....like the barn loft, etc. Meals were basically everyone sitting around the table and passing family-sized platters and talking at the same time. It was always crazy but fun!
