WAYDTGKU: The usual.

R/R: Hi! I'm back! We had a really nice, relaxing weekend in VT for MH's birthday! It was really nice to see my cousin and her family, and our dogs got along really well! Winnie slept the whoooole day yesterday because she was so exhausted from being chased by her ~1 year old brittany spaniel. She was sitting by her crate asking to go to bed last night. BUT our fridge stopped working on Thursday right before we left, so that sucks. So we're kind of living like we're camping this week. We're rural and don't have a lot of appliance repair options, so supposedly Sears is coming today. The fridge is only 3 years old and was super expensive. I'm really annoyed. Also, something terrible happened on Saturday, just to add to the list of things in the universe to complicate our lives right now.

My BIL called MH on Saturday and told him that their cousin shot himself. He had apparently gotten into a big argument with his kids right before, and went out onto the deck and shot himself. I'm like... physically sick thinking of how this is going to affect those poor kids and his wife for the rest of their lives. He clearly had some bigger things going on, but I'd imagine the kids will likely be blaming themselves for it. He was in the military, and then was a firefighter, and suicides are becoming alarmingly common in both of those professions. The family is not doing well, and I'm not really too sure how this week is going to all pan out now. MH is likely heading down there tomorrow, and we'll all be going down for services, I'm sure. Might not be making it to that bachelorette party after all. Also not sure what this will do to our TTGP plans this month. Kind of a big buzzkill.

WAYDTGKU: Acupuncture 1x/week, PNVs, BBT, SMEP, Digital OPK & Morning HIO during FW

R/R: Wasn't the least bit surprised to see AF arrive on Saturday & am ready for this new cycle! I'm already feeling extra hopeful. Also, going to have my AMH and FSH checked today since I'm CD 3 and my OB is offering the blood test. I last had this done in December 2015 and I'm hoping not much has changed. FX!

CS/Q: Will begin temping around CD 8 or 9.

@shamrocandroll your TW totally broke my heart... I’m so sorry your family is going through that. I’ll put a story in a spoiler with the same TW for suicide.

My cousin shot and killed himself 10 years ago. He was a college dropout and a drug user, but was trying to recover and get his life back on track. He had everything in order for his family to handle things... it was clearly well thought out. It’s so hard to recover from, his family is still struggling day to day from it. I always wonder what must have been so bad that he couldn’t talk to anyone about it to sort it out. It’s heartbreaking.

Anyways, I hope we can figure out PTSD and mental health soon... stories like yours and mine are becoming all too common. 😔

R/R: Thankful to finally have a chill day at home, back to normal! MH is back to work today, so I can get through my last week of my first summer grad school session. Coming down from the weekend will be tough!

CS/Q: Blaring +OPK finally yesterday, CB showed a solid smiley today, temp drop yesterday, slightly up today... looks like I’ll be moving to TWW soon! O is here FINALLY! MH left the house today singing “The Final Countdown” 😂🤣 glad he has a good sense of humor about this process!

@shamrocandroll I’m so sorry you are going through that. Those poor kids. How absolutely terrible. And it’s awful that there is such a stigma associated with getting help when you need it to prevent such tragedy. Again I am so sorry.

R/R: Monday 👎🏻I had something I wanted to finish last week but wasn’t able to and have been a little stressed about how I was going to get to it since I’m going to be out of the office for a million days in a row. But, the client I was supposed to be at today had to cancel last minute so I have an unexpected day in the office. Going to try to take advantage and be productive and not be on TB but we will see

@ejoseph16 That's terrible. Addiction is so hard. We've dealt with it a lot in my family as well. MH's cousin was always so happy and smiling on the outside. I hate to think what he was fighting on the inside.

@bows22 it made me smile, too. We try to pick each other up when we are down with this process. I’m thankful I have such an amazing man to share this with! Good luck being productive! I haven’t even changed out of my pajamas yet... 😂

@shamrocandroll exactly. I feel like they are happy on the outside but dying quickly on the inside. It’s terrifying to me. My cousin was home the weekend before (he lived 2 hours away) and was joking around with all of us, making Easter plans... the next day, he was gone. 😔

R/R: New internet comes today! Can’t wait. Totally calling and cancelling old internet as soon as new internet is working to be like “cancelling bc you thought i could live without internet for three weeks are you kidding me byeee felicia.”

CS/Q: weird low temp today? i was tossing and turning before i temped (what my ‘note’ says) and the ac was on one degree lower than usual? but it was raining so DH turned it off like an hour or so before i temped? idk. usually tossing and turning means a higher temp? so i’m like “maybe it’s a pre-O drop,” which i do not always get and this would be early and i got a negative OPK today so who knows.

CD: 4 (but to the RE it's 3)

WAYDTGKU: FET!!!! 😱 Holy smokes we're finally here!

R/R: sucks that AF came right as I as heading to the baseball game. But the call on Saturday to hear that 5 of our 6 embryos are normal was THE BEST. And we know 3 are girls, 2 are boys so we are very excited! The procedure for a FET is very similar to an IUI and I'm just wondering how different it will feel considering it's an embryo going in, not just DH's sperm. But with that I'll be hanging around here for like the next month. But yay!

CS/Q: nope, although I'm super curious how temps look during FETs, but I'm going to keep that bit of information from my life. Keep the next month stress free!

@shamrocandroll omg I'm so so sorry for your loss. That poor family. Hard to imagine something harder to go through.
On a lighter note, I'm glad you were able to enjoy your weekend in VT. And also a huge bummer about the refrigerator. Is the fridge still under warranty potentially?

@puppylove8910 Sorry you are back here, but yay for being hopeful. Positivity can't hurt. And also best of luck for your tests. I had those test done a few year ago too and I wonder if anything has changed but we're not working with any doctors yet.

@ejoseph16 lol at YH! Yay for TWW on the horizon. We're very close in our cycles so I'll probably be seeing you over in TWW soon

@bows22 glad you're getting a chance to finish your work. I'm like that too if I don't do all I had planned to do, it causes me major anxiety.

And I got a weird temp drop CD12 this month too. Had never gotten a pre-O drop before that I can recall, but I do think I ovulated CD13, or 14, so maybe it was. Maybe you'll ovulate a little early this month? Oh and I also had a negative OPK that day. It was negative all day long until 9pm in the evening when it was suddenly super positive. I was glad I kept testing!

Month/Cycle: 2/2

CD: 15

WAYDTGKU: being healthier, supplementing, tracking all the things.

R/R: 2 nights down without MH now. I was super angry at him yesterday because of something he forgot to do before he left and it caused me a huge headache (sorry being vague bc of potential TW). But he was driving a long distance last night and I haven't heard from him since. My worry is beating out my anger a little. I'm sure he's fine and probably just fell asleep when he got to his destination. 3 hour time difference and all.

CS/Q: OPK was super - yesterday and CM had turned creamy and I had felt O pain the night before so I *think* ovulation had already passed but my temp didn't fully rise so to be conservative, I'm just going with that as my O day. So that would make me 1DPO today but going to hang out here until I get my CH.

R/R: AF showed yesterday, I cried for a few minutes even though I knew it was coming, etc. I brought muffins (that are basically cupcakes) in to work today, so there's that to look forward to.

@shamrocandroll I am so sorry for YH's loss. It's so incredibly hard and unthinkable. Sending you guys and the family my thoughts.

@kagesstarshroom Thanks. I'm trying SO HARD to focus positively right now, and it's just hard. The weekend was super relaxing and nice, but then I came home to our fridge still not working and had to get it all cleaned out, and now we can't really grocery shop, plus not knowing what the week will look like... all of it has be like AHHHHHH!!! I recently changed internet, and I got SO MUCH joy out of calling Comcast and telling them to shove it. I hated them with the passion of a thousand burning suns. They were so expensive and never worked properly for us.

@inthewoods23 I am SO EXCITED for you! Remind me in case I forgot, but are you doing transfers one at a time? How are you guys deciding which sex to do first? I'd have such a hard time deciding! I think I'd have to flip a coin because I'm too indecisive, haha!

@silly_goose Yes, thankfully the fridge is still in warranty! As long as it's the sealed system and not something else, but that would be the most expensive thing to repair, so PHEW! Sorry you're feeling anxious. I'm sure he just fell asleep when he got to his destination. I hope you hear from him soon!

@kagesstarshroom Sometimes I get a pre O drop about 3 days before actual O day and it doesn't happen every month. Maybe it's a pre O drop for you too!

@silly_goose Thank you! I hope my numbers come back ok too. I decided to get my blood work taken because I'm almost 36.5 years and I'm the type of person who wants to know as much info as possible at all times. Lol. So I didn't feel like waiting and since CD 3 fell on a Monday and my lab was open, I figured let's get it done!

@shamrocandroll yes 1 transfer at a time. And we're going to try for a boy first 🙂

And I spoke too damn soon! Due to some clinic downtime and everyone else that's booked my transfer isn't until 9/10!! Arrghh. But it's okay, that pushes the due date past some competition dates next year so now we won't have to worry about being 6 hours away by car and ending up in labor early. 9/10 transfer date pushes that all to a month past it so, perfect 👌 although I hate waiting!!

@silly_goose @puppylove8910 Thankssss for those readings/anecdotes. FF is predicting I O CD 12 bc of LP length and Cycle length data, even though day-of-O data shows the earliest I've O'd is CD13? & median CD14? So who knows--just glad I'm following SMEP rules & we started HIO CD9. We're traveling this week, so Oing CD12 or CD14/later would be IDEAL, but, you know, can't plan this stuff haha.

@shamrocandroll Ugh, I get you. And I am pretty sure you're like me in that way where, like--being in control helps you maintain positivity? So when things are chaotic, it's way harder. The fridge thing is a real "straw that broke the camel's back"--like, it seems like you've got enough going on. Are there places you like to eat out that aren't too much? Maybe treat yourselves, ya know?

@inthewoods23 Yay for the new transfer date being one that works better with the schedule of your year ahead! Though the waiting, oh the waiting!

They were our only real option in our old house and when we moved last year and I could finally call them to cancel I was so so happy. I think they are the actual worst company I’ve ever dealt with, at least in my personal life.

@inthewoods23 oh no! I was so excited for you and then saw your update. that sucks. I’m glad it kind of works out timing wise though. And you will have more time to de-stress after your 4th of July trip though.

@bows22 When I lived in Philly, I would go back and forth btw Comcast and Verizon alllll the time bc inevitably one of them would piss me off enough that I'd be like "if you don't XYZ, I am taking my business elsewhere!" We have..... many less options where I live now. I considered myself lucky to find another service provider who was willing to bring internet to my house! When we first moved in, it was JUST the one. Even the company coming out today didn't provide service here yet. I'm so glad they do now.

R/R: We had a crazy busy weekend and I have a crazy busy work week (except I'm skipping out early tomorrow afternoon and have Friday off - so really just the days I'm there are busy!). I was travelling today for work, and travelling on Wednesday. It will make the week fly by I think. I wish the TWW would go this fast...

CS/Q: My clearblue opks went from low to peak and apparently we completely skipped any "high" days 🤷🏼‍♀️ since I'm not temping currently I count tomorrow as O and then will move to TWW. Also making H HIO tonight even though we did yesterday, because I'm a believer in -1 timing hahaha

@millpe yeah I start BC on the 26th and go for 21 days, then I go back on it like 5 days later for 23 days. There's appointments for thing in-between now and the transfer day so it shouldn't go by too slowly!

@millpe I’m all about the -1 timing too! And yes it always seems to me that WTO goes so much faster than TWW, even though I only have a 12 day LP so my TWW is a lot shorter

R/R: I keep getting a blinky smile face on my opk, I really thought it would be a solid since my temp dropped. Really want that peak, getting tired of fitting in BD this cycle!

CS/Q: If I have a temper drop but the OPK is only showing high fertility and not peak, which one should I listen to?

@kmornelas29 your temp can only tell you when you’ve O’d, after the fact. You can’t use it to predict O since temps could dip for any number of reasons. Just keep doing your OPKs to catch O!

@shamrocandroll my parents are general contractors, so I grew up in 7 different construction filled flip houses! I know the camping feeling, but it’s also so rewarding in the end! Congrats.

@millpe I had that happen with my opk last month. It went from low to high to peak in 3 days! Never had that happen so it was odd. I started using wondfo in addition this tome around because of that, but I find them hard to read!

@kmornelas29 keep listening to the OPK. I have had times where the CBAD has given me six blinking smiley faces and then the peak. It's annoying AF, but it hasn't let me down! Hang in there.

@kmornelas29 Oh. I'm not sure when the end is, honestly. We're not planning on getting a new one. This one is only 3 years old and was super expensive. It's hopefully covered under warranty, but that means we're at the mercy of the repair people the manufacturer makes us use, so I don't know for sure when it will be fixed.
