Upcoming Appointments: I need to schedule my glucose test. The next follow-up appointment and ultrasound aren't until next month.
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): I'm a whale. And a Hoover vacuum. I'm trying to do a better job of monitoring my carbs, but they are my best friends. I still have some tingling/numbness in my feet due to standing at my part-time job, but I have some compression stockings so that should help.
Rants/Raves: Traveling home on Wednesday to visit family and forget my newfound resolve to cut back on carbohydrates.
Questions: When does everyone plan on being "baby ready"? Like, you'll have the nursery ready, hospital bag packed, frozen meals prepared, etc. I'm staring at the calendar like I really need to start making a list and prioritizing. GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Every summer, my family has a reunion in Daytona Beach, Florida. We rent a house right on the beach, play games, eat too much food (I'm noticing a theme here), and just unwind. It's pure bliss.

@elle-0409 my cut off is 34 weeks, but I start to get antsy around 32w. We’ll have her room complete, all clothes washed, bottles cleaned, (cloth) diapers prepped, bags packed, and car seat base installed by the 34w mark. I tried frozen meals in the past and it never was something we actually used after, so I’m forgoing it this time around. I need to assemble the swing into manageable pieces soon (though won’t move it downstairs until right before she’s here)— I broke it down further than needed so I could fit it in a box to move 😂
@cmbt2 Thanks! Yeah, I think we are going to sign up for either Hello Fresh or Gobble and do the meal service thing for the first few weeks. We've used both of those companies in the past and really like them. I'm not sure how good I'll be at prepping frozen dinners.

Upcoming Appointments: TODAY! I have a mile long list of questions, so my doctor is going to be so thrilled with me today 😂
How are you feeling? My pelvic area pain is getting intense. I'm starting to suspect pubic symphysis or whatever it's called 😥 (Cravings/Symptoms): Craving sweets like none other. Gimme all the candy and cookies!
Rants/Raves: We are making progress on the nursery! I'm loving it and can't wait to share pics, but will probably wait until we go to a private group.
Questions: To answer Elle, I'm shooting to be baby-ready before labor day weekend (pun not intended, LOL). I'm 35 weeks then. GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? we have so many to choose from, we are big on traditions in my family! I think if I had to choose my #1 favorite is taking a day off work in early December and baking Christmas cookies and candies all day with my mom, sister, and aunt (years ago, my grandma too). We blast Christmas music all day, giggle about sprinkle mishaps, and generally just have a really enjoyable day together. I love it ❤

Upcoming Appointments: June 26 with bonus diabetes test. Woooo.
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Cannot lie on my back for longer than 10 minutes. I mean, that's normal with progressing pregnancy, but I hate feeling uncomfortable so I'm going to grump about that.
Rants/Raves: Rave: Super excited about our garden party on the first Saturday in July. The planning is still not quite done but coming together nicely. Rant: Urgh, bra shopping.
Questions: Anyone already starting with the linea nigra? I don't remember when it started turning up with my other pregnancies, but the babysizer site says it starts around now. GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? My parents weren't really ones for traditions. We had all our meals together except for breakfast, maybe that should count. I loved sitting at the table all together and talking about the day's events. Once my brother and I left the house my mom started just eating whenever and I can tell my dad is sad about it but won't make it his hill to die on.
@grapeskittles4lyfe, I have the linea nigra too. It showed up (what felt like) SUPER early for me, maybe around 16 or 17 weeks? It's getting slowly and steadily darker 😬
@elle-0409 I always plan to do freezer meals but never actually do because I put it off until I don't feel like it anymore. So should probably start that sooner this time. Nursery I'd say I'm usually done by 36w. Hospital bag though, I make a checklist and make sure I can locate everything on it, but so much of it is stuff I'm still using through the end of the pregnancy, so I don't fully pack it until I'm in labor.

How are you feeling? I have some aches and pains but overall things are good. (Cravings/Symptoms): No real cravings. Varicose and sciatic stuff are my main symptoms at this point.
Rants/Raves: We had our A/S last week and everything looked good! The Dr. surprised us with some 4D ❤ MH and DD didn't get to come because they're on a trip with my in laws. I have a lot of rants about that.
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Probably my family's thanksgiving. We don't always do the same things, I just love getting together for home cooked food and fall weather.

Upcoming Appointments: Tomorrow with OB
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Fri/Sat I was feeling really worried. I wasn't feeling much movement from baby and was googling all the things like crazy. I think he was just positioned with limbs toward my back or something (or maybe going through a growth spurt?), because yesterday and especially today I'm feeling lots of activity. Other than ups/downs of worrying, I'm feeling pretty darn good. I started taking papaya enzyme after meals for heartburn and it seems to help.
Rants/Raves: Rant: I really wish I could have peace of mind this pregnancy like my last one. It is really weighing on me mentally, but not much I can really do except take care of myself and hope for the best! Rave: Uptick in baby kicks! And the new freezer we bought this weekend means I can distract myself by planning and prepping tons of freezer meals!
Questions: GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Christmas Eve with my mom's side of the family. Our traditions include fondue (I make it every year), meatballs and other appetizers, opening Christmas crackers and wearing the paper crowns that come out of them, and playing board games. We always have a really great time!
Thanks for getting the thread started @elle-0409 @elle-0409 And now to answer your question, I hope to be "baby ready" by 36 weeks, because if I tell myself that, then maybe I'll actually be semi-ready by 40 weeks...

Rants/Raves: I think I will take DS with me this next weekend to register and BBB and Target. DH has to work (and really doesn't want to go).. More drama with my sister and her jealousy and now trying to control throwing me a baby shower (after spending the last 20 weeks not talking about my pregnancy and being a b****).

Upcoming Appointments: Friday with regular OB, July 9 with MFM for 24 week scan.
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Pretty good, actually! My anatomy scan was a relief and I am beginning to feel like this is really happening for me. I still have bad days but I'm more hopeful that I'll actually have a baby at the end of this. Craving all the crunchy cold things and all the sweets. Still pretty meh on meat.
Rants/Raves: Rave: I had the best weekend with H! We took a little weekend getaway and it was fun to have that time together.
Questions: When do baby kicks need to be consistent? I feel them inconsistently every day, but I'm not counting or anything yet. GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? We try to do a family trip every year. We are headed to California in a few weeks for this year's and I am excited!
Upcoming Appointments: I need to schedule my glucose test and next checkup, but that won’t be for a few weeks
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Heartburn and reflux have been almost constant. I think he went through a big growth spurt this past week bc we got back from vacation and a lot of my comfy pants don’t fit anymore
Rants/Raves: I could go on a looong rant about my ILs right now but I won’t. After being gone for a week the thought of having to see them again makes my blood pressure go up
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Hmm...I can’t think of anything specific really. Just holiday-related things like eating the same breakfast on every holiday, Christmas shopping and baking with my mom
@obsessedwithoranges 28w is when you should find a pattern with movement. I’ve never done kick counts, so I can’t speak to that. I’ve always just learned their patterns since they were the same time every day
@stephanie123456, I hear you on the pregnancy brain. Mine has been so bad. I need to revive the pregnancy brain thread with one of mine from today!
But about the public typo/autocorrect, I have a funny related story. As part of my job, we frequently have to publish public hearing notices. Before my predecessor left, he warned me to always double and triple check the heading on my notice before sending it to the press. He warned from his own personal experience, as he once accidentally published a "Notice of Pubic Hearing." 😳😳😳

Upcoming Appointments: June 28th. I think just a regular check up... not sure about the glucose test yet, we'll see.
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): pretty good. I am still not totally over hyperactive gag reflex, but now there are more days in between days when I throw up from coughing three times (in the morning, before eating).
Rants/Raves: Rave: I am done with work for the foreseeable future!! SAHM status! (well, I still have to input one set of report cards, but....). We had a good first father's day. I wrote my husband a poem in a home-made card.
Questions: None that I can't ask my Dr. GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? We used to do karaoke at home on holidays. My dad loves it, but he's a terrible singer... I think some family members don't like it so it doesn't come up as much. hehe.
As far as being baby ready... we are not as organized as some of you (which I am fine with). We'll have the car seat base installed about three weeks out from EDD--since both our kids came two weeks early in the past. This is really the only truly essential thing to do ahead for me. But I'll probably take a day around then too to get the bassinet set up in our room, the swing set up in the living room, and the NB and 0-3 clothes we have out of the bins and put away. For DS1 I had the greatest hospital bag of all time packed way ahead, but then I barely used anything in it. For DS2 I literally packed after my water broke. As far as food, I'm lucky in that I have an incredible network of neighbors and close-by mom friends who organize a food train whenever someone has a baby. We had three-four meals a week for at least two months with both boys.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Some days good, some days not so good. When my lower back pain kicks in it seems to effect every part of my body.
Rants/Raves: too much. I'm in complaining mode these days.
Questions: GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition We have a lot. A new tradition my sister and mom and I started a few years after we both got married (and had to split holiday time between two families) is taking a day off work right before Christmas and spending it at the spa!! Alleviates holiday and IL stress!
Same as @junebabyh for when we get ready. I didn't finish DS1's nursery until he was around 6mo I think 🤔 oh and I washed all his itty-bitty clothes at around 36-37 weeks too! He was in our room for the first year, so it didn't matter. And for newborns you really just need onesies, diapers, a place to sleep and boobs or formula! They mostly just need you lol

Rants/Raves: DS has been cleared by his cranio surgeon for the next 3 years!!! And he did his CT scan without sedation!! And we start speech therapy tomorrow and then head to the Lake to celebrate my (late) father's birthday with my step family!
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? We don't have many I can think of... But we always opened xmas presents one at a time from youngest to oldest! It's a tradition I've brought to my husband's family as well It takes basically forever, but I love seeing the joy on everyone's face as they open their gifts!
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): The middle of the night leg cramps are killing me! I never had that during my other pregnancies. I drink a ton of water throughout the day and constantly stretching. I make sure I stretch a lot before bed and still it hits me around the same time each night and lasts for a good hour before I can fall back to sleep.
Rants/Raves: School is out for the kids - that is both a rant and a rave in itself
Questions: Looking for cute, supportive bathing suits. I gave my maternity suits a way after my last pregnancy. I ordered a few off Amazon and was not impressed (not enough support in the boob area). Target only had a couple to choose from and wasn't a fan.
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Just holiday traditions with my family. Getting to see everyone together on the same day with all the cousins/grandkids near and far is always special.

July 5th,
How are you feeling?
(Cravings/Symptoms): Not really craving anything lately. I’m getting pressure on my pelvis, I’m
terrified at going into labor before week 37 so I freak out at small symptoms
like that. I’m also stressing feeling like a failure cause DD and DS will have
to share bedrooms for a while. I know its not really a big deal, but I still
feel guilty that they can’t have their own spaces.
Rants/Raves: My boobs hurt like a mofo, and I probably
won’t be able to BF so I’m kinda annoyed about that
Questions: I’ll have to think about this one GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Christmas Eve past and present. My mom always did an open house for our
neighbors. She would make this amazing seafood salad which was the best thing
ever. We would have snacks galore and trade small gifts with our closest
neighbors. Now, we do a Christmas eve box for DD with a snack, book, and PJ’s.
We’ve done it for 2 years now and I just enjoy it.
@elle-0409 My plan is for each weekend in July to focus on
baby prep. We’ve been so busy its been really hard to do much so I told Hubs
that July no social calls lol, I need his help with furniture and organizing, cleaning.
@mrsinterweb I hear you on the peace of mind, I’m thinking about
too, my thoughts are way too morbid ….
@ineedsixeggs and @melanier26 Oh Inlaws! Can we do a

DD1 was one week late and I was on mat leave 4 weeks before she was born so I had plenty of time to organize her stuff (and annoy my midwife with FTM questions - "come and look at my apartment, is this baby-ready?"). With DD2 we lived 5 minutes on foot from the clinic, so I was like eh, we don't need a car seat and she's going to sleep in our room anyway so I don't need anything big set up yet. DD2 surprised me with broken water so SO did the rest of the home prep while I was in the hospital with DD2 post CS.
At this rate with this baby I'm going to go to the hospital with two diapers and a onesie and not much else.
I'm pretty behind here due to a difficult day yesterday (brief rant below). Forgive me for lack of replies. I'm going to love tit and catch up as I can.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Siatic nerve pain started up over the weekend. It's not too bad since but still annoying.
Rants/Raves: We had some drama w/Ns mother Sunday night. It resulted in an argument between her and MH, an email to our lawyer, and likely court documents being filed later this /early next week. I was not in a good headspace yesterday. Today I'm in better shape and ready to push forward with the hope that family court will see the issues and have enough common sense to do what is right for N.
Questions:
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? I don't have a particular favorite. Any even where a bunch of family gathers is a good day for me. I love my family and their company. And of course anytime we are all together there is good food (especially the big family parties, room full of italian home cooking anyone?)
@prpl11butterfly I'm so sorry for the stress inflicted by N's mom. Even with all the crappy stuff you have to deal with, you should feel very proud for what you're able to do for N.
(especially the big family parties, room full of italian home cooking anyone?)
YES! DH's aunt married into an Italian family and deemed her the cook and man does she pull it off. I absolutely LOVE going to her house for dinner. She always make extra meatballs and sauce for me too cause she knows its my fav.
I'm sorry to hear things with N's mom is so bad, but I hope everything works out for you guys and her.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Frustrated 😂 I’m starting to get the urge to nest and I’ll have a good day and way over do it leading to 1-2 bad days. For example I was on the go from 6am- 10:30pm yesterday I got home just in time for the back spasms and hip pain to kick in, leaving me in a lot of pain today.
Rants/Raves: While I’m super behind in prepping for baby, I have had a good amount of time to learn more about breastfeeding. I have bf all of my kids but struggled hard with a low supply that we couldn’t increase even with medication. Since I’ve had the time to research I’ve been better able to form a plan that I think is going to make our bf journey much better this time around.

Still can't get enough milk and ice cream but mostly I just feel like this:
Rants/Raves: Rant: I like how @cmbt2 put it, it's apparently monsoon season 😤 Rave: I FINALLY have a dishwasher and I'm soooo happy about it! Questions: GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? I don't really have any, except I try to always do Thanksgiving at my mom's since that's always been my favorite holiday since I was little and she cooks everything just the way my grandpa did. Like a couple other people posted we also do the one gift on Christmas Eve. If anything, I think I'm more excited about starting some new traditions with my littles.

At this rate with this baby I'm going to go to the hospital with two diapers and a onesie and not much else.
😂 This seriously made me lol.
That’s all some people bring! Seriously. I only brought DS1’s take home outfit, and spent the two days wishing I had our swaddles because it was impossible to burrito him in the receiving ones at the hospital. With DS2, I brought our own blankets, which was good, as we were blindsided by them automatically sending in the photographer. It was also much easier to wrap him with larger swaddles
Funny. I much prefer the hospital level pads and mesh undies in those first few days! But I'll agree it's so nice to take that first shower and put on your own clothes.
@elle-0409 I want to get everything done before 30 weeks. I’ve been down this road before and know I’m not going to want to do much those last few months. I also know while I won’t use the nursery at first I’m not going to want to work on it with a newborn either. @cmbt2 that sounds like so much fun. @galentine OH NO I hope you pain does't keep getting worse . @grapeskittles4lyfe Grump away, that's what these groups are for right? So we can all moan/groan together, and share in excitement as well of course @ineedsixeggs I so sorry about your rant, I'd be uncontrollably angry in DH missed the AS. Pregnant wife trumps trip in family. @stephanie123456 ugh I'm sorry about the drama with your sister. Sounds like it's time for some distance from her. @junebabyh that tradition sounds amazing! AND YES TO THOSE MESH PANTIES, THEY ARE AMAZING! @prpl11butterfly I think I said this in the other thread but I will say it again. I am so sorry for how FD turned out with N and the drama from it. I'm proud of you and DH for fighting what is best for N. She is so lucky to have you guys, even if she doesn't act like it all the time

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Pretty good as long as I don't over do it, although it annoys me how little it takes for me to "over do it" this time around. I did not have this many breathing issues with DS, I was a clinic nurse for goodness sake and some days on my feet for 10 hours, no way I could this time around. As for cravings nothing really strong, but the power of suggestion is strong.
Rants/Raves: Woke up today to a sick DS, he keeps saying I feel fine now. I know he doesn't, I really hope he is spontaneously better tomorrow when all his cousins get here.
Questions:Nada GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? I have to go with Christmas eve. My sister host a big brunch every years for family and friends, so nice morning of food, coffee, and booze. After clean up my immediate family gathers at my sisters house and we do our gift exchange and hang out. We used to stay and play games for a couple hours. However, after I got married that changed because we have to have use that time to do gifts with my step children-we don't have them Christmas Day. So after we go home and open gifts with the kids we usually have some snacks and play games until it's time for church.
All of you liking those awful mesh underwear things need to get off with that nonsense... I will never understand how people find those comfortable or those giant pads.

Baby is the size of a(n): 🍆🍆🍆 (she's the size of an eggplant, get your minds out of the gutter 😉)
(Cravings/Symptoms): Craving sweets like none other. Gimme all the candy and cookies!
To answer Elle, I'm shooting to be baby-ready before labor day weekend (pun not intended, LOL).
I love it ❤
Baby is the size of a(n): apparently Mr. Burns teddy bear
Baby is the size of a(n): Least weasel
(Cravings/Symptoms): No real cravings. Varicose and sciatic stuff are my main symptoms at this point.
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Christmas Eve with my mom's side of the family. Our traditions include fondue (I make it every year), meatballs and other appetizers, opening Christmas crackers and wearing the paper crowns that come out of them, and playing board games. We always have a really great time!

@elle-0409 And now to answer your question, I hope to be "baby ready" by 36 weeks, because if I tell myself that, then maybe I'll actually be semi-ready by 40 weeks...
@cmbt2 I am feeling the same way...
@galentine Yay for nursery progress!!
EDD/Weeks + Days: 10/14 - 23 weeks
Baby is the size of a(n): Baby is the size of a burrito, which I had for lunch (but it wasn't that good) 🌯
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Not sure if we really have any (or either side)...

GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? We try to do a family trip every year. We are headed to California in a few weeks for this year's and I am excited!

Baby is the size of a(n): Grapefruit
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Going to the lake in the summer
@elle-0409 I’ve got a shower at my house the middle of August. I’m hoping to have it done then! I’m not sure about the hospital bag. Most likely around the middle of Sept.
Baby is the size of a(n): coconut
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? We used to do karaoke at home on holidays. My dad loves it, but he's a terrible singer... I think some family members don't like it so it doesn't come up as much. hehe.
EDD/Weeks + Days: 10/13 (23w1d)
Baby is the size of a(n): A Barbie doll (err, Ken doll??)
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition We have a lot. A new tradition my sister and mom and I started a few years after we both got married (and had to split holiday time between two families) is taking a day off work right before Christmas and spending it at the spa!! Alleviates holiday and IL stress!
Baby is the size of a(n): water bottle

Today
The middle of the night leg cramps are killing me! I never had that during my other pregnancies. I drink a ton of water throughout the day and constantly stretching. I make sure I stretch a lot before bed and still it hits me around the same time each night and lasts for a good hour before I can fall back to sleep.
School is out for the kids - that is both a rant and a rave in itself
Looking for cute, supportive bathing suits.
Baby is the size of a(n): cantaloupe
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? we always open a present on Christmas Eve. And make hot coco and usually watch a movie. So I started a Box for the kids, they get jammies, a new movie, popcorn and a coco mix. Last year they both passed out by the time we got home(we have like 4 Christmas dinner/parties to go to at Christmas, so usually In Laws is on Christmas Eve and my family is all day Christmas) I opened their boxes and stuck their jammies on them!
@cheznet Congrats on being done with work! 🎉

Upcoming Appointments: Glucose next week?, Growth Scan July 5th,
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Not really craving anything lately. I’m getting pressure on my pelvis, I’m terrified at going into labor before week 37 so I freak out at small symptoms like that. I’m also stressing feeling like a failure cause DD and DS will have to share bedrooms for a while. I know its not really a big deal, but I still feel guilty that they can’t have their own spaces.
Rants/Raves: My boobs hurt like a mofo, and I probably won’t be able to BF so I’m kinda annoyed about that
Questions: I’ll have to think about this one
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Christmas Eve past and present. My mom always did an open house for our neighbors. She would make this amazing seafood salad which was the best thing ever. We would have snacks galore and trade small gifts with our closest neighbors. Now, we do a Christmas eve box for DD with a snack, book, and PJ’s. We’ve done it for 2 years now and I just enjoy it.
@elle-0409 My plan is for each weekend in July to focus on baby prep. We’ve been so busy its been really hard to do much so I told Hubs that July no social calls lol, I need his help with furniture and organizing, cleaning.
@mrsinterweb I hear you on the peace of mind, I’m thinking about too, my thoughts are way too morbid ….
@ineedsixeggs and @melanier26 Oh Inlaws! Can we do a thread just for inlaw rants? Cause I could go on a tyraid…
EDD/Weeks + Days: 21+5
Baby is the size of a(n):
(Cravings/Symptoms): Siatic nerve pain started up over the weekend. It's not too bad since but still annoying.
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? I don't have a particular favorite. Any even where a bunch of family gathers is a good day for me. I love my family and their company. And of course anytime we are all together there is good food (especially the big family parties, room full of italian home cooking anyone?)
Baby is the size of a(n): Coconut
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? Sunday morning breakfast or our baking days just before Thanksgiving and again before Christmas.
Baby is the size of a(n): Barbie doll (this puts lil nugget's kicks into a whole new perspective. It makes me laugh pretty hard to think of Barbie in my belly making such big thumps.)
FTM/STM/TTM+: STM
Team Blue/Pink/Green: Pink lady
Upcoming Appointments: Heading in now, just a follow up.
How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Actually feeling pretty good, all complaints/pains are pretty minor. Newish craving is for alllll the vinegar. Especially slaw. I think I had pulled pork with broccoli slaw (I make the dressing: little mayo, couple tbs of ACV and a tbs of sugar) 4 times last week. This week it's German potato salad. Still can't get enough milk and ice cream but mostly I just feel like this:
Questions:
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? I don't really have any, except I try to always do Thanksgiving at my mom's since that's always been my favorite holiday since I was little and she cooks everything just the way my grandpa did. Like a couple other people posted we also do the one gift on Christmas Eve. If anything, I think I'm more excited about starting some new traditions with my littles.
i also prefer my own clothes and pads 🤷🏼♀️

@cmbt2 that sounds like so much fun.
@galentine OH NO I hope you pain does't keep getting worse .
@grapeskittles4lyfe Grump away, that's what these groups are for right? So we can all moan/groan together, and share in excitement as well of course
@ineedsixeggs I so sorry about your rant, I'd be uncontrollably angry in DH missed the AS.
She is so lucky to have you guys, even if she doesn't act like it all the time
Baby is the size of a(n): I guess a grapefruit, but from my experience that is smaller than a coconut which was the measurement last week. Or the Indiana Jones Fertility Idol
GTKY: What's your favorite family tradition? I have to go with Christmas eve. My sister host a big brunch every years for family and friends, so nice morning of food, coffee, and booze. After clean up my immediate family gathers at my sisters house and we do our gift exchange and hang out. We used to stay and play games for a couple hours. However, after I got married that changed because we have to have use that time to do gifts with my step children-we don't have them Christmas Day. So after we go home and open gifts with the kids we usually have some snacks and play games until it's time for church.
