How are you feeling?: woke up to nausea this morning. Haven’t had it in a couple of days so of course PGAL brain has been a little crazy. Thankful we are back at it again this morning.
Rants/Raves: Had a nice weekend. Met some friends we haven’t seen in three years for lunch and told most of my family we are expecting. To say they were shocked is an understatement. We should be telling dh’s mom tonight.

How are you feeling?: symptoms haven’t been as persistent this week or as intense which I am grateful for. Mostly just been zapped and in need of naps. Which I can fully get down with.
Rants/Raves: so excited that my ultrasound is finally here!! If all goes well we will be making a surprise trip to MD to tell our folks the good news in person this weekend.
Questions: how much do they actually tell you in an ultrasound appointment? And will the dr follow up after or will I have to wait until the 2nd to hear more??
GTKY: What’s your favorite time of year (season, holiday, etc.)? Summer and Halloween are my favorites!! I’m an 80 degrees or bust sorta gal and hate being cold. But also love the spookiness of Halloween. It was the only approved holiday for my hubby to propose on. Any other holiday I would have been like ask me tomorrow 🤣

Feeling: still have nausea, bad taste & fatigue. Half a unisom at night is helping.
Rant: the reassurance of my u/s is wearing off and I’m nervous about whether this baby will be okay at the next appt. And I’m frustrated about the vanishing twin preventing me from getting the NIPT.
GTKY: Fall is my favorite season and Christmas is my favorite holiday. If this baby makes it, I’ll have to get Christmas gifts squared away early. I don’t want to be scrambling at the last minute in my third trimester.

How are you feeling?: Physically: tired and nauseous. It's just a low background nausea but it is really uncomfortable. Emotionally: anxious to make it to the 2nd tri.
Rants/Raves: I bought myself a maternity pillow and I love it. It gives me support and keeps me from tossing and turning as much. It's basically just an L shaped body pillow and I'm kind of wondering why it's not just marketed to the general public. I would've bought one years ago had I known.

GTKY: What’s your favorite time of year (season, holiday, etc.)? They're all special in their own way but Fall is especially nice. I love the weather and activities.

@stashattack - My doctor did my ultrasound so he told me things as he was going along. He found the heartbeat, then measured the baby, then measured the gestational sac, and told me where the egg yolk was. And I think that was it. Oh, he mentioned some "bubbles" on the brain called choroid plexus cysts, but my DD had that and it disappeared before my 28 week scan, so I'm not worried.
@MrsJessS - I miss real fall too, especially the colors. I have to settle for some chilly, rainy weather in November.
@carrieandr - I'm glad the Unisom is helping your nausea!
@peppyj9 - Extra pillows is so nice during pregnancy. I've been thinking about getting myself an extra body pillow since my back is already starting to hurt when I sleep.

Rants/Raves: Rant: Had my bloodwork this morning and it was 6 vials! I mean, I'm sure I did this last time around, but it's just a crazy amount of blood.
Rave: My skin is beginning to "glow." I love how smooth and soft it's getting.
Questions: Anyone "showing"? I ate a ton for lunch yesterday and was sporting a 6 month bump, lol.
GTKY: What’s your favorite time of year (season, holiday, etc.)? Either Christmas or autumn. I just love the autumn chill and sweaters and scarves, but I always have to wait and wait for it to get chilly, and then I feel like it's Christmas by then. Christmas is just still magical for me.
@marebear15 thanks for letting me know what your experience was like!! The bloat bump has also been real. Today I woke up looking/feeling like I'm showing even though I know I'm not. Today though was the first day my slacks feel a smidge tighter. Which I'm not looking forward to buying new pants any time soon.

@marebear15 definitely a good shocked! They know about all my losses so they kept asking if I was sure and what the dr thought and then cried. I think my mom is kind of paranoid now but she’s going to have to just chill.
@peppyj9 what pillow did you get? I need to look for one. They don’t market it towards normal people because they can make more money by putting “pregnancy” in front of it. Same with wedding stuff.

How are you feeling?: Tired. Terrified.
Rants/Raves: I had an emergency ultrasound at the hospital Friday night that showed a very large subchorionic hemorrhage. The on call dr at the time said she doesn't expect my pregnancy to continue (even though my baby was measuring correctly at 9¹ with a good heartbeat). For now I'm on pelvic rest: no walking/hiking/stairs/lifting/sex. I'm hoping for the best and seeing maternal fetal medicine today to get a second opinion.
This news kinda ruined the happy surprise we had planned my revealing our pregnancy to my husband's parents on Father's Day (both my parents are deceased). Our baby will be the first grandkid for them. I still told them, but on Saturday instead, so as not to ruin father's day with bad news.
I haven't given up on my little one yet. I just renicknamed her "Champ" on The Bump, because I know she can overcome this.
Questions: Not really, unless we have "very large SCH" experts here.

@stashattack The tech that did mine told me how far along I was measuring. I asked what the heart rate and she told me. It wasn't on any of the pictures she printed for me so I'm glad I asked. Other than that she didn't have much to say. Was pretty busy doing measurements and finding my pesky left ovary.

@carrieandr My first DD was at the end of January. Online shopping and doing it early is a game changer!
@marebear15 By the end of day I look pregnant but its mostly just bloat and prob a few extra pounds I put on. I have a little bit of extra weight in my abdomen area so that doesn't help either. I put some maternity pants on the other day but I put them back. I keep thinking about them but I'm not ready yet.

Luckily everything looks good. She did find a small SCH but had a MFM look at it right away and they both said it’s all good. So thank goodness for that
