@brookert615 we were team green last time (I wanted to be), with the agreement that we could find out if we were able to get pregnant with a second. DH wants to do a reveal, so I’m letting him. It’s not really going to be a party, just having our parents and sibling over to watch, if they want.
@daffodil_shoe See I think that's okay. He legit wants to do a big party thing - like 30+ people. It just gives me anxiety lol. If it was something that was at our place and doing something small like you said - I would definitely prefer that!
Owning a working/sporting/etc. dog breed purely for their looks, without having any intention of using that dog for the purpose for which it's been bred, is selfish and cruel. Those dogs need to work. It's ingrained in their instincts. Your GSP/husky/shepherd is never going to be fully happy just being a family dog.
On a similar note, breeding dogs with deformities because we think it looks cute is also selfish and cruel. Your slobbery pug or bulldog is precious (actually, it's hideous), but it can't fucking breathe, and its eyes are going to literally pop out of its head when it gets older.
My UO is that every baby should be celebrated with a baby shower. Me and my best friend LOVE party planning and anytime someone in our group of friends get pregnant, we plan a shower for them. Between our 6 closest friends there are almost 25 kids (2 of us are pregnant). Don’t like it? Don’t come. No offense taken but we like to party and give gifts.
@kmj1426 I mean you do you between your friends, but actual baby showers aren’t to celebrate the baby. It’s to celebrate the new mom and help her get what she needs for the baby. After the first, you should already have what you need. 🤷🏼♀️ So ya, I’m one of those people who RSVP “no” to showers for 2nd+ time moms.
A Star is Born wasn’t that good. It reminded me a lot of Walk the Line. I was distracted during it, but I still didn’t see or hear anything that would make me as remotely obsessed as some people I know.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@daffodil_shoe I totally see that perspective but needs definitely change when you start adding in more kids. Plus, who doesn’t need some diapers, wipes, new baby clothes after the first pooped all over the hand me downs, and an excuse to get out with your girlfriends and eat some food 😂
