I know being bloated is part of the first trimester fun, but I can't even wear my wedding rings and I'm only 5 weeks. Is anyone else having this issue? I don't remember this with my first.
Hi and welcome! We don’t do one off posts here as they can clog up the board and we like to keep things organized. If you havent yet, please intro in the intro thread as well as change your username so we can get to know you easier. The knottie usernames are confusing with all the numbers. There’s a thread labeled “knottie usernames” that can help you. As for your symptoms, we have a great symptom thread that you can post on and read to see if anyone is going through anything similar. Thanks!
I feel like after your first, your body just bloats and pops and shows everything so much sooner. I assume I just lost the muscles that were holding everything in the first time around....
@dmd2019 No you aren't allowed to make your own board. 😂 TB admins do that and then you can post a thread on the board. Maybe you should lurk a little more so you know what's actually going on.
@MollySm thanks! I'm only worried because I had preeclampsia in my first pregnancy and Im super nervous about getting it again.
@emeraldcity1214 I will do my best to follow the guidlines from now on, however they were not made by a bump admin.. they were posted by a member.. therefore, aren't real. *lurk harder*
@dmd2019 while yes, they were posted by a member, if you look back at the past few years they have been posted by member after member, month after month. These are the generally accepted "rules" of conduct of this community. Boards run much smoother this way. They are not tough to follow. I've been back on TB for about 2 years now and have seen just how well they work. I'm sure the Jan ladies would love to get to know you so feel free to intro and jump in to the regular threads!
@dmd2019 The rukes were established by the members of this board when this board was first established. Every single board on TB is ran this way. The only exception are the trimester boards. You can post as many one-off threads about your swollen abdomen, or any other swollen body part you may want to talk about. Don't clutter this board with something that should have gone in the question thread. It's common courtesy to follow the rules of a board when you join it.
Also, don't make a snarky comment to @kbrown2385 and not expect other people to step in. She is well loved on TB and we all lurk each other's BMB to keep up with them. She responded appropriately to your one-off AW/SS thread. It also tells you in the Read First thread that you shouldn't get your panties in a wad when you get called out for breaking board etiquette.
You are BEYOND rude. I reposonded appropriately to someone trying to police me. The FACT is, anyone can do whatever they please (as long as they are not offending anyone) it is litterally month ONE (at least for me) and when I posted this thread I didn't realize there were "rules". I even tried to delete it and ONCE AGAIN I will say I will follow the "rules" because I happen to agree with them.. however.. they are fake and theres a reason anyone can post whenever/whatever they want. I wasnt trying to attack KB, I was genuinely confused and wondering if these were real rules. Turns out they're not. Maybe you should get your panties out of a bunch about them and enjoy the ride with people all over the country who are just as hormonal/excited/nervous as you are without acting like you run the joint.
@dmd2019 - It's true that there's not really any #admin to enforce the rules that have been made by the members of this board going back years. There's no one to stop you from making 50 one-off posts about every little pregnancy ailment. But as this board grows and more members join, it would get very confusing to have that many posts going on. So we've tried to condense it into topical threads.
kbrown and I have been around here for a long time, and we've seen a lot of boards get organized. So when she came on here and explained that this is not how we do things around here, it was simply a veteran letting a newbie know how things work. She was not rude, but polite and cheerful and directed you to several threads that would be helpful for someone new around here. No one "runs this joint" but us members who have been here awhile, do try to be friendly and help others figure out their way around the board.
Again, not trying to attack KB. I was confused.. so let me say sorry. Genuinely. Im trying to follow the rules because I do agree with them.. so I really dont need it explained to me again and again and again. But like I said earlier, I agree with the rules and I did try and delete this thread. Unfortunately its not possible from what I can tell. So if everyone could just STOP on this, and move on.. that would be wonderful.

@dmd2019 Just have some grace, admit you didn't lurk, and created an AW post, and move on. The more defensive you get, the worse it will be.
