  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 2/14 3 weeks + 5 days

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: I'm team green, DH is team finding out.

Upcoming Appointments: Waiting for blood work results to schedule!

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Nausea, super sore boobs, craving milkshakes, super crazy stabby jolts. Honestly I'm happy about it because it reassures me this is actually happening!!!

Rants/Raves: I'm wearing leggings today and it's glorious. BUT silly me wore a bralette and it's not doing it's job lol.

Questions: How to deal with the constant hunger/nausea? I have a bunch of small healthy snacks but I'm overeating like crazy.

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Hmmm... duck? I'm so boring lol.

  • @brookert615 Have you tried the preggie pops or ginger tea or sea bands? I try to do everything under the sun before turning to crackers. Iced iced water like super cold is a favorite for me- I'm finding I feel nauseated a lot from running warm.

    EDD/Weeks + Days:

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Team Finding Out

Upcoming Appointments: Wed, June 19th- I asked for an early U/S as our intake at 6.5 weeks

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Boobs hurt, have extra zits, mood swings, nausea/vomiting, exhaustion, sleeping 10 hours at night, higher body temp

Rants/Raves: I decided I don't need to keep this to myself so I told a bunch of my co-workers and friends already. I'm thinking of framing my 6 week U/S photo on my desk and just telling everyone. If I miscarry, I'd rather have everyone know.

Questions: How to squeeze us all into our 2 bed 1 bath 800sqft townhouse... DS is almost 3 so I'm wondering if crib bunk is a good idea or he's too young for top bunk. I'm snagging a free baby box for the first 3-6 months to use as a bassinet so wondering if I should just wait until baby is here to decide what to do. I'll probably wait until nesting hits in second tri and decide then, but anyone have any solutions for a baby not getting their own room?

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? I'm originally from Louisiana soooo snake? Turtle? Frog legs? Squirrel? Take your pick haha!
  • @craftywitch Oh! I will have to look into those! Super cold water sounds like a good call too lol. Mine always gets warm. Oh man that is stressful about getting everyone situated! I like your ideas! That's such a tough situation! Oh dang girl - you've tried it all!  :D

Questions: Anyone else planning a homebirth?

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Fried Alligator Tails!
  • @brookert615 thanks! I've been drinking citrus green tea and trying to sneak in water when possible, so I'm staying hydrated. And the pickled herring was actually not bad. I wouldnt choose it to eat or anything, but it wasn't gross. If you decide to try it out, wait until your LO is born. It's raw 😬
  • @hellonurse0802 Oh man, I wonder if you try and infuse you water with some fruits/veggies? Also, good to know! LOL

m0mmy2b0yz Oh oranges sound yummy! We aren't planning on homebirth but once this group gets bigger I'm sure we will have a thread that goes over who plans on doing what!

    Excited to be here!
    Questions: N/A

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? No sure, really. Lol
  • @m0mmy2b0yz We are planning to work with a birth center, but home birth isn't off the table. My first labor went fast and if this one is faster, we might not make it to a birth center. If you plan for a birth center and don't make it, they force you to transfer to a hospital after baby is born. I want to try to make it, but if I catch my own baby just call it a home birth, but I don't think that's an option. If it's not, we may just go ahead and plan a home birth instead. I believe there was another Mom in intros who mentioned a home birth...
  • @mommyj14 That's great you're wanting the water now!!! The snacking is unreal though lol.

  • @craftywitch Well it will be interesting to see where you end up delivering at. My first 2 were at home as well so Im excited to do it all over again.
  • SOO HAPPY TO BE HERE!! I’ve been waiting for my 72 hours since joining to pass so I could post

    EDD/Weeks + Days: Feb 13 / 4w 1d

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Team finding out, all the way. I want to know ALL the things.

    Upcoming Appointments: June 27

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Fatigue, drinking extra water (not sure if peeing extra is the extra water or pregnancy), boobs sore and nipples HURT after I was in the pool and I got out

Rants/Raves: Such a mix of excitement/anxiety. It’s my first pregnancy ever, and I'm nervous it won’t stick. I just turned 35, so I know that makes my pregnancy different from that of a 20-something...

Questions: Not really... other than how to stop being so worried it won’t stick... but guessing it’ll just take time.

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Hmmm... sheep’s brain sandwich? Fried grasshoppers?

  • @um_thor The worry is real for sure!!! Sheep’s brain and on a sandwich??? Lol. Definitely strange! 😂

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): I am still in shock. SHOCK. Given our infertility history, I legit have no idea how I am here.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Currently trying to decide where to go on a babymood...

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

Omg so much- eyeballs, brains, hearts, weird meats. I have tried most things.
  • @kiwi2628 Oh babymoon! Do you have any places on your list yet? Too funny about all the weird foods you've eaten!

  • @brookert615 Well we were going to go to Thailand in November because I wasn't going to be pregnant so that got scrapped. Asia, South America and Africa are out because of diseases from mosquitos. Currently thinking Ireland or Jordan to see Petra, maybe Cappadocia, Switzerland or Germany maybe? I dunno. For our last one we had 4 babymoons (thanks infertility!) so we did Portugal for the first, Croatia/Bosnia/Montenegro for the second, Morocco for our third and finally London for our actual omg we actually got pregnant babymoon

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: finding out... but I'm sure it's a boy! My husband and his family literally only produce boys 😂

    Upcoming Appointments: 6/24

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): tired, occasional bouts of nausea

Rants/Raves: I had gestational diabetes with both of my prior pregnancies. I am already monitoring my blood sugars. I'm guessing I will be on insulin within 6 weeks. I already want chocolate cake 😡

    Questions:

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Yeah, I got nothing on this one. I'm pretty normal when it comes to food.
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 4+3

FTM/STM/TTM+: third pregnancy, hopefully take home baby #2

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: we found out last time and haven’t discussed this time yet

Upcoming Appointments: RE appointment on Wednesday

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): not really believing this is happening. *TW* spotting a little and having low progesterone combined with very few symptoms and a previous loss means I’m not very confident. At least I can breathe now since getting results and a prescription. */TW*

Rants/Raves: 10 more days of school left

Questions: For anyone currently taking progesterone or in the past, how much did it increase and how fast?

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? I can’t even tell you because I’m not an adventurous eater. DH ate turtle soup on our honeymoon. I refused to even watch.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

I was handed pig brains at a Halloween party once. At first I thought it was a gimmick. But no. They were real pig brains.

Questions: how do I keep from telling my mom for another month??
GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Alligator?
  • @NYTino24 with my ET I was on progesterone. I took it vaginally twice daily and it rose really fast
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: 2/9, 5w/1d - we did IVF so really all of that is guesswork

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: I'm Team Blue, hubby is Team Finding Out

Upcoming Appointments: July 2nd is first OB visit, but I'll see my IF specialist every Sat all the way through 9 weeks for monitoring.

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Sore boobs, mild cramping, very mild night time nausea (no vomitting yet)

    Rants/Raves: n/a

Questions: Reading online makes it sound like the first trimester is supposed to be the worst time of my life, but honestly, I feel like I do every month in the couple of days before my period. Should I be feeling worse?

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? Matsumae Zuke. It's Japanese - dried squid, kelp, herring roe, carrots, ginger, sake, soy sauce, and mirin. It managed to be slimy and dry at the same time and was the grossest thing I've ever eaten.
  • EDD/Weeks + Days: Feb 13 + 4w3d

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Team Green

Upcoming Appointments: Nothing schedule yet but should have one around 8 weeks

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Apart from being super tired and very easily annoyed I feel fine. No nausea so far and I really hope it stays like this

Rants/Raves: EDD is DD birthday... I am not sure if am happy or sad about that...  :|

    Questions:

GTKY: What's the weirdest thing you've ever eaten? I think it was pig's brain... I remember it being tasty but thinking about this now makes me feel weird :D

@m0mmy2b0yz I am also planning on having a home birth. Had it last time around and was really happy or worked out like that. Here in the Netherlands it's kind of normal that you have the option or at least talk about it. But still, people look at me like I am a bit of a weirdo when I tell them that I had a home birth.
  • EDD/Weeks + Days:  February 10, 5 weeks

How are you feeling? (Cravings/Symptoms): Chest is sore and sensitive (feel like I'm falling out of my bras and need to go get new ones already) and small cramps every once in a while like someones pinching my uterus. I do seem to want fried and spicy foods a lot, as well as milk, which I usually hate drinking.

Rants/Raves: Nothing to complain about yet.  I've had 3 miscarriages, so I'm just EXTREMELY thankful all looks well so far.  Counting my blessings this time around. Looking forward to getting to know you all and glad to have a community to share this with  :)
