Fit Friday 6/7

What have you done to stick with your goals this week?

Re: Fit Friday 6/7

  • This week my goal of walking or running a mile every day crashed and burned after over 30 days of success...but I got meds for my nausea and I’m hoping to get back on track now that I can actually eat!

  • I haven't really made myself any goals, but I think I might try to walk every day next week. Depends on how I feel though.
  • I need to get back to eating healthy. Sandwiches and McDonald’s is all I’ve been wanting when I do want to eat, so that’s not too great. I should also consider getting back into walking again.
  • Made it to yoga and my work out this week. But I was so terrible for lunches. There was free pizza at work twice this week that I ate instead of my packed lunch.
  • Went to my bootcamp class three times this week. I've been super lazy because of exhaustion and nausea. But I'm trying to push through because I don't want to gain 65lbs this time around like I did with my first pregnancy. That being said, this pregnancy is a lot harder than last!
  • Umm I've been terrible. Nausea and fatigue have completely ruined my morning routine where I take a nice long walk. Any hope of increasing that to include power walking or running went completely out the window. Hoping next week is better!
  • I have been working out almost every morning either spinning, running or weights (20-30mins). I'm WAY too exhausted in the afternoon to workout. I would like to incorporate yoga but it's not my favorite thing. I'm a vegetarian and eat mostly vegan meals so my diet is high fiber/very healthy anyway. I haven't had any nausea or food aversions (yet) so I'm hoping that continues so I can get in as much nutrient dense food in as possible *FX*
  • I have no work out routine and am still trying to eat somewhat healthy. I’m still on vacation in Europe so we’re walking around a lot anyway and food is healthier. It will go downhill when I get back to the office but hoping twice a week yoga will be ok!
  • I wish this thread was "pants don't" FIT FRIDAY.  Just saying.  I have been bike riding with my daughter.  We only go a mile or two but it's better than nothing.  Once school is out we are going on vacation and I'll be carrying her most of the trip.
  • I’ve continued to do yoga every day but I’m going to start choosing more toned down practices rather than the strong ones I’ve been expecting of myself. I’m just not up to it right now and that’s okay. I want to start going for walks next week as I’ve noticed being mobile helps my discomfort and fresh air helps my nausea (for now). I’d like to eat fruits and veggies but the thought of them makes me sick so I’ve been sticking to mostly grains (some apples and bananas and some grilled peppers seemed okay).
  • I did well with exercise this week. 3 runs (2-3 miles and so slow, but they happened), and either a walk or 15 min. strength workout the other days. My diet is a dumpster fire, however. The sweet cravings are so intense, like nothing I experience when not pregnant. I am going to focus on upping my protein. I eat mostly pescatarian (will occasionally eat chicken under duress) so I need to push eggs and whole grains, etc.

My first pregnancy I only slightly exceeded recommended weight gain, and I’m tall so I didn’t think much of it. However, my son was 10.7, and as a consequence of that I’m under the magnifying glass this pregnancy. Extra GD testing (I didn’t have it last time), “we might want to think about delivering you earlier” has already been spoken, etc. I really want to do better on diet this time, and it’s a much bigger challenge than exercise for me.
  • I exercised 3 days this week so far but go for atleast 1 walk a day. I usually hit almost 20k steps a day so on those days I consider my day a success even if I havent worked out. I havent been eating fantastic. I've been on a breakfast sandwich kick (usually every 2-3 days) and those just arent healthy. Yesterday we had pizza for dinner. I've been eating quite a bit of fruit though.

I gained 25lbs with my first pregnancy which is the max I want to gain for this one as well. I'm only 5'1 so I really have to watch. 25lbs on me looks like I've completely ballooned. It sucks being short.

I went to the gym 3 times this week and went for a walk once this week. The gym completely kicked my trash today thanks to pregnancy exhaustion. Usually I do my PT exercises in between weight sets. I could only do that half of the time today.

My goal for next week is to lift weights, 3-4 times next week and do aerobric (walking or yoga) 2-3 times next week.

I gained 50 lbs last pregnancy (half of that was water weight thanks to preeclampsia) and I'd really like to avoid that again.

@persnickity - I need to be better about lunches too! I've been eating frozen food since my aversion to deli meat.

    Edit: Words are hard.
  • I actually took a mile walk on Friday and Saturday! I was super proud of myself. And then Sunday I felt awful and vomited my dinner, so no walking that day.
  • @marebear15 yay for Saturday at least! Sorry Sunday didn’t really go your way
