Difficulty BF

Hi ladies! This will be my fourth daughter, and I hope breast feeding will be successful this time! With my first daughter I made it a week before it dried up. My second I made it 2 months, went rafting for a couple hours and dried up immediately after that. My third, I could tell she was starving and any time I pumped I could only get out an ounce or two on a good day. It was a Medela pump, but this time I've ordered the spectra plus and have heard good things. So fingers crossed. I've heard of using supplements and eating certain foods to help produce milk, drinking water, and staying away from certain meds and foods that could dry me up. Anyone have any advice or similar situations that have turned out successfully? I see all my friends breast feed for a really long time and it makes me wonder what I was doing wrong and why I can't seem to get the hang of it! Please help! Thanks.

  • Hi and welcome!

I don't recognize your username so I'm assuming you are new to our board. Please take some time and intro in our introduction thread. Then read the thread titled, "Read First." It explains how our board is organized. We don't encourage one-off posts like this because it clutters our board.

There is a BF thread further down the first page where lots of us have been discussing this topic. I will tag you in it because I do have some advice for you.
