The man in a huge white utility van that almost drove right into me this morning! He is a twat waffle. He switched lanes practically on top of me and I had to brake for him not to hit me. I honked of course, and he flipped me off! YOU flipped ME off!?
I had such rage that I grabbed my water bottle and was about to drive up on the other side of him and throw my water into his open window. But that is assault, and could have caused an accident so I collected myself.
I'm just imagining myself caught on someones dash cam and being on the news later... "Coming up at 6pm.. In a fit of road rage, Boston woman hurls an open water bottle into passenger side window of nearby car!" I promise I'm not an angry person.. just tired and hormonal lol
@mrs_llama - I've been so ragey this pregnancy, so I understand.
Mine is my parents who decided to get up 30 minutes before my 5:45 alarm and start breakfast. I understand they are adjusting to the new time zone, but why do you have to be so loud!
Ooooo I’ve been saving this one for today! Mine is my in laws. Specifically my MIL and SIL. Now I already shared that SIL took it upon herself to tell all my former coworkers that I am pregnant. But now it gets better. MH’s stepdad turns 70 next month and MIL texted MH requesting that we come hang out that weekend. Which is fine as long as MH’s schedule permits. It’s a 2 hour drive but we can take the dog and stay the weekend so no big deal. Then they decide they want to go to a steak dinner in Dallas and stay the night. MH mentions that Dallas is hard for us. It’s about a three hour drive, our friend who dog sits for us is due with her second a couple weeks before this trip so obviously we can’t ask her to keep the dog, we have a toddler, etc. SIL goes off. Tells MH it’s not that difficult and that we are just selfish. Mind you. She lives with her boyfriend and two cats...and has still never managed to come to our house despite the fact that it’s only an hour drive. Anyways. She starts blowing up and asking why we hate them so f***ing much. Because MH said Dallas was hard. Come to find out. The steak restaurant they want to go to is roughly $150 a couple. And they want me to bring the toddler they will absolutely not help with. Mind you. They are also aware that the Army has been screwing with MH’s pay and we are somewhere between $600-$800 short a month. For almost a year. And expecting another baby. So maybe a $150 dinner isn’t a great plan for us at the moment.
Annnnd to top it all off, my MIL who is hella dramatic on Facebook about missing her grandson soooo much got a new job 5 minutes from my house. Literally. And she was here for training yesterday but couldn’t be bothered to come see him because she wanted to go home 🙄
If you read that whole thing, you’re a champ. Sorry for writing a novel 🤦🏻♀️
Maybe I'm just hormonally petty right now. But cousins are adopting their first child from China and are having a baby shower. Totes fine with that. My mom gets and invite and I don't. Now I'm way far off from this yet, but I'm def feeling the whole family politics game and seriously thinking about not inviting her (she's an inlaw, her hubby is my cousin) to mine. Which one of us is the Twat Waffle? Both? Probably... Do I care? Nope.
@MrsJessS I feel that sentiment with the MIL. We go to visit way more than they come to visit...like they hadn't come to our new house and we lived there 6 months. Granted we live 5 hours away but in the same time we had been up there several times and then she complains that she never sees us....sorry I got a job.... Not even my that waffle and you have me all worked up!
Anyways, my that waffle is my students dad who apparently has been abusing him (I think verbally) and now I'm working to help him find housing which is complicated by the fact he is blind so he relies on his family to help him navigate school and such. Pregnancy hormones are not making my job easier.

@marebear15 sorry about the rude awakening.
@MrsJessS wow, your SIL sounds like a real piece of work. Sorry you have to deal with that. I hope YH set her straight.
I don't really have one this week but am here for the support of everyone else. Damn twat waffles.
