Returning from years ago

Ugh.  Where to begin. 

I was was active on these boards back in 2013-2015 when we went throu 3 failed IUIs and 3 Failed IVFs. My diagnosis was shitty eggs.  

We we decided to carry on with life since I was in my late 30s at that point. 

Fast forward to 4 weeks ago. Went to OB because of bleeding. She asks me when I was at re did they ever mention endometriosis?  Um no. What the what?  

Had a lap on Wednesday. Stage 4 endo, endometrioma from each overly removed, both tubes removed and polyps removed. 

Now it’s kinda rekindled my hope, even through I’m 42 now.  What if?  So dangerous, I know. Anyway headed back to the re to go for IVF 4. I have nothing to lose at this point.

    Wow, hopefully getting the endo taken care of makes all the difference for you, but how maddening that your RE didn't catch it back in the day? Welcome back.
    ***BFP & Child Warning***

    Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014
    IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs
    IVF ER (July 2016) = 7 PGS normal embryos
    FET #1 (Sept 2016) = BFP! DD born 5/30/17
    FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
    FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20

    Good Luck!!!  I agree with above--how maddening about your RE.  My first thought when I read your post was that I hope you see a new RE for sure!!!
    Me: 33, DH: 40
    July 2016: IVF #1 (froze embryos)
    Aug. 2016: Hysteroscopy to remove a few polyps & Laparoscopy
    Oct. 2016: FET #1 BFN
    Nov. 2016: FET #2 BFP (ended in CP)
    March 2017: IVF #2 Fresh Transfer of 2 Blasts = BFP!!! (EDD: 11/27/17)
    Froze 5 Blasts
    DS born on 11/2/17!!!  
    Back to try for Baby #2 :)

    I’d definitely seek out another RE. As far as infertility diagnosis go, the endometriosis should have been readily caught by an RE. 

    I am sending you so much sticky dust for your IVF! Any idea on a timeline, or will it be months away?

    Wow!  Welcome back.  That is heartbreaking to think you could have gone through so much treatment back then all with a missed dx.  Sadly, I think it happens more often than it really should.  Fx the lap does the trick and you get lucky this round!!!
