Did you rock out at work? Not strangle a loved one? Offer the last cookie to someone else? Did you accomplish anything, learn anything, master anything? Whether big or small, tell us something that was a win for you this week.
ugh.. can I call it a win that I am even trying to work today? I feel like I barely slept last night, was up tossing and turning all night and couldn't get comfortable.
And I had a presentation this morning to our whole company about a special project I've been working on as part of the leadership team for the project. After it was over, our VP of special projects leaned over to my boss and said 'well she was a good hire' (I got promoted about 2 years ago) and then he told me I am very good at public speaking. 😁
@runningfortwo81 - That is amazing! Congrats!!! That kind of appreciation from co-workers and bosses is what I miss about working. My 3 year old never tells me I am doing a good job
My win for the day is that my daughter actually wanted to go to school today. Made the morning routine so much more pleasant when I wasn't fighting her every step of the way.
@creamcheeseplease what was with last night?!?!!? I couldnt sleep either!!
@runningfortwo81 way to get some validation!! I hope you are just flying on cloud 9 from those props. I love that win!
@Dancer688 seriously drop offs can be horrific or amazing. Mine only goes to preschool twice a week and just started in the preschool room. Since she missed Monday I was worried about how today would be but I think she was really excited to get back to her friends!!
My win is I am at work, I am happy to be here, and I made a delicious cucumber, tomato, red onion, black olive, feta cheese, and cilantro salad for a pot luck. I feel fancy and am craving the crap out of it which will hopefully make me eat less pizza and chips! Im proud of myself for getting it made this morning before work and not just taking the easy way out and grabbing a bag of chips or something like I normally do.
My win is that my kids are all asleep and nap time wasn't a fight. DS2 is hit or miss and will sometimes put up a huge fight. He laid down and didn't make a sound.
My win is I bought some girl clothes for the baby today at Carters. They were doing some really good clearance deals and I didnt spend more than $3 on any one piece of clothing! Weee!
My win is that we told my son he’s going to be a big brother. He actually understood it and has been saying how excited he is all night, and that just makes my heart happy!
I managed to not be snarky to the new guy. He likes to try to tell me how to do my job (bro, there are people on this shift who have been here much longer than your 2 months, and NONE of them know how to do my job), and it's getting hard to brush off. I snapped pretty good last night, but managed to contain myself tonight.
@angieeeeee - Ew is he one of those man-splainers? Props to you for not going off on him. My pregnancy irritability is off the charts. I would not have been able to help myself.
@dancer688 I'm not even sure I'd call him a man-splainer, because he does it to one of my male coworkers as well. Hes just trying to prove he knows everything, and so far hes failing and pissing people off. We have a small crew (21 people) and the only person who actually likes him is his girlfriend.
I indirectly called him stupid on Tuesday and it was pretty funny watching the insult go right over his head.
Also, my pregnancy irritability is outrageous too. If I'm not biting someone's head off, I'm so mad I'm crying. Luckily my coworkers all know I'm pregnant now and they forgive the snapping and ignore the breakdowns.
