We went mattress shopping yesterday and took the night to think about it. I lost my day of sleeping in by waking up at 6:30 overanalyzing everything 😫

@bows22 I hope you get an awesome mattress. We love our Beautyrest Black with adjustable base. I’ve been able to sleep in the last two days, but my body is so trained to wake up for work that it didn’t matter.

@bows22 I hope you get a great mattress. We upgraded last year and it’s amazing the difference it’s made in our sleep. I don’t even remember the last time I slept in. Doesn’t matter when I go to sleep I’m up around 6

@bows22 do they offer a "sleep guarantee" where you have so many nights to decide if you like it or not? That might help ease your mind!

Mine is short and sweet - I'm mad our deck still isn't finished. I think they did work 1 day this week! They haven't communicated at all during this time of when they expect to be back again. Ugh. Oh well, we can walk out from our kitchen and walk down the stairs so we're using it already when we have bonfires. We just need to be careful because there's no railings yet. SO CLOSE.

I realize that my BF was not that short 😅😆

@NYTino24 that’s exactly what we ended up getting! So glad to hear you like it.

@inthewoods23 yes! We get 120 days to return. It does help but I did too much reading online about how you should negotiate so I started being more worried about if we were getting screwed over versus if we would like the mattress. I’m so glad that it’s over!

@bows22 I hate mattress shopping! Plus I always get grossed out when they have you lay on the bed and I start thinking about how many people have laid on it.

@inthewoods23 completely understandable to be upset about them not working on your deck. I hate home renovations because they never seem to finish on time.

My BF is kinda gross just to warn you. I am super pissed at the strung out junkie that broke into the firehouse yesterday while MH was working and threw her used tampon at him. She was arrested and taken to the ER where they found out she has herpes and hepatitis. (I'm hoping it Hep B since we are both fully vaccinated against it because we work in healthcare.) When she started fighting with them he had to help wrestle her to the ground because he is one of the bigger ones. I'm very grateful we already have our embryos frozen so we don't have to be benched waiting for blood tests.

@celticknotfire That’s disgusting and I just don’t understand why anyone would do such a thing! I always worry about DH while he’s at the FH, but never for weird stuff like that. Hope it all turns out fine.

When I started my job on the 2nd day we found a used tampon and bloody underwear in our changeroom. It’s not fair that we have to clean up after people who weren’t raised right.

My BF is about my boyfriend, he has 3 days off a week, I have only 2 but I worked on Saturday so I only had yesterday off. On my days off, I don’t shower till noon and then I do a grocery shop, meal prep, clean and do something outdoorsy with my dogs.

This is will be his 2nd ‘weekend’ in a row where he hasn’t done a damn thing. I come home from work and the house is a mess, dogs are crazy cause they need a walk and he hasn’t even showered. Oh and he left a thimble amount of milk and didn’t even think to text me so I could grab more.

@celticknotfire I’m so sorry your H had that happen to him. I really hope all his testing comes back fine.

@verydisgruntledpelican0091 that is frustrating with your boyfriend. Sometimes my H gets upset at me for nagging him until I remind him that if he’d done X 3 weeks ago like I’d asked I wouldn’t be nagging him now.

Mine is also contractor related. We’re getting all new windows and siding on our house this summer but it took forever to finally get a contract and now that we’ve paid the deposit it’s been 3 weeks since we were supposed to get a schedule on the when the work would be done but we’ve still heard nothing. I swear I don’t like being a nag but I feel like nothing gets done if I don’t constantly pester people about it! I’m not worried that the guy ran away with the money at least since he lives in our neighborhood and I know which house is his so it wouldn’t be very smart of him to try and pull that (plus his work has excellent reviews) I think he just sucks at the communication aspect of his job.

@celticknotfire Oh my gosh, that's disgusting and scary. MH is in law enforcement and stuff like this is one of the things I worry about. I'm so sorry and I hope YH's blood tests come back clean.

Thank you everyone! I understand some people have problems but they have had medical calls for this woman before and she refuses rehab or any other assistance. But at the end of the day he still loves his job and couldn't picture doing anything else!

And after my BF yesterday I got a call from the contractor this morning saying a job got delayed and our stuff is in so they can come tomorrow! Woohoo!! I should do BF more often then everything will magically get done right?

Bitching a day late... MH hasn't been paid in 3.5 weeks and it's becoming a major issue! Apparently the person managing his short term disability case changed, so it got started over or something, and they basically just told him "check's in the mail" last week, but we still haven't seen it. We have a safety savings fund, but I'd reeeeally prefer not to have to break into it if we don't have to!
