    • How far along / EDD? 39+3. Eviction date tomorrow
    • How is everyone feeling this week? Still feeling good
    • Upcoming appointments? Tomorrow for induction
    • Questions? No questions. Wish me luck for tomorrow
    • GTKY: how do you handle change? Do you welcome it with positivity or try to avoid it. Depends on how big the change is, if it is a very big change, I get tensed, try to avoid it but eventually welcome it if I think it brings betterment in my life
This week is my last week so someone can take up the thread for the third trimester from next week.
    • How far along / EDD? 28+6
    • How is everyone feeling this week? my arm is still killing me from my TDAP shot on friday. Other than that doing pretty well. Baby we was measuring fine with a good HB at my MW appointment.
    • Upcoming appointments? nothing for another month... I could have gone for 2 weeks but that made this impending birth feel too close... so I elected to wait a month...
    • Questions? nope
    • GTKY: how do you handle change? Do you welcome it with positivty or try to avoid it      As you might have guessed I ignore it until I can't anymore... I just focus on what I'm doing and then change happens and I try to focus on the new normal...
@bkatp good luck today. I hope all goes very smoothly and your holding that sweet babe in your arms soon!

  • @bkatp i can't believe you're having your baby today!!!!! GL girl! please keep us posted!
    • How far along / EDD? 33W4D
    • How is everyone feeling this week? uncomfortable sometimes with the round ligament pains
    • Upcoming appointments? next Wednesday
    • Questions? Any remedies/tips to help with the round ligament pain?
    • GTKY: how do you handle change? Do you welcome it with positivity or try to avoid it. I try stay calm and adjust it at my own pace to avoid stressing myself out until I get comfortable with it and it gets part of my routine again
  • @bkatp i'm so excited for you and can't wait to hear how it goes. my OB appointment is tomorrow and i'm going to ask about induction b/c i'm ready so i'll be curious to hear how your experience went. can't believe your day is finally here!

@babydust2507 not sure if this will help with the RLP, but i'd been having leg cramps/charlie horses. the googles recommended taking magnesium and that seems to have helped. haven't had them since i started.  could be a coincidence, but dunno if it's the same time of pains.

@wabash15 the time is flying by... 32 weeks will be here in no time. will you have another growth scan at that time?

    • How far along / EDD? 38+6
    • How is everyone feeling this week? ready to get this show on the road... sadly, don't think much is happening.
    • Upcoming appointments? tomorrow! NST and OB... plan for induction?
    • Questions?  none at the moment.
    • GTKY: how do you handle change? Do you welcome it with positivty or try to avoid it --- uhhh, i generally don't like change if it's someone else making the changes... but if its something i want, i usually embrace it by being planful and doing research. its been hard anticipating what life post-baby will be like, but have been trying to go with the flow... but we'll see if that laid-backness flies out the window after baby is here.  (((shrug)))

  • Hello ladies, sort of long hiatus - work got really busy, was traveling a lot for different conferences, moving, and trying to wrap up a bunch of things before June rolls around but I've missed you and it's been wonderful seeing everyone's updates and the little ones that have come along in the past few weeks  :)
Mini synopsis in your first post with your EDD: I was pretty regular about posting in the infertility and 1st/2nd trimester check-ins. Was in a FB group with my October FET ladies for a little while as well. This is my first pregnancy, EDD 6/29. Anterior placenta so feeling regular movements in third trimester has been pure magic.
How many babies you are pregnant with: 1
If you know the gender(s): Girl  <3
How you have been feeling going into 3rd trimester: tired, busy, very happy

@bkatp so exciting!!! hoping to hear from you soon about updates! definitely a lot of betterment on the way  :)
@babydust2507 usually just Tylenol but I found surprisingly that swimming helped a lot - I'm not sure why. Also noticed the pain more when I was dehydrated - make sure you're drinking enough water?

    • How far along / EDD? 35 3/7 wk EDD 6/29
    • How is everyone feeling this week? lots of hiccups, LO loved Aladdin
    • Upcoming appointments? 36wk tomorrow
    • Questions? for those of you that have had them, what do contractions feel like?
    • GTKY: how do you handle change? Do you welcome it with positivity or try to avoid it. Depends... but in stressful situations, probably not very well  :#
  • @northbeach3
I literally think in my life in terms of pre-baby and post-baby now; the change was that dramatic. It's a whole new normal but it's a great normal in many respects and there's so little research or planning you can actually do that doesn't fly out the window when baby arrives. For example -- our plan for the bassinet in our room for the first 6 months: out the window. Anne HATED her bassinet and refused to sleep in our room from day 1. When she was very little, we just let her sleep in the pack n/play in the living room while we took shifts on the couch next to her and she eventually graduated into her crib in short order which she loved. Every baby is different! In so many ways, it was a blessing she arrived early so I was able to get what she liked on demand (baby gowns or sleep sacks == hate; swaddle sack == love, etc).

    @bkatp
Good luck! Soon you will be holding your little one in your arms and probably crying like a baby :3

  • @bkatp can’t wait to hear about baby! Thinking about you today!!!
@autumnlvs welcome to 3rd trimester! Glad you found your way back to us 😊

    • How far along / EDD? 36w5d csection 6/17
    • How is everyone feeling this week? Still out on leave for my back. They cancelled my PT today so I can’t get in until Friday. I’m trying to look at it as forcing me to slow down before she gets here
    • Upcoming appointments? Growth scam &ob on Thursday. Gonna ask her to check my cervix too bc my son was born at 37 weeks. Plus I want to make sure I’m not having back labor.
    • Questions? Anyone ordered their breast pump yet? I used Medella last time but I was thinking about the spectra this time. Haven’t done enough research though
    • GTKY: how do you handle change? Do you welcome it with positivty or try to avoid it... I’m definitely more comfortable w/o change but there is so much change at my work I’ve become to expect it all of the time. Some are less stressful than others. I try not to freak out until they tell me to freak out. 😂

  • ok ladies, baby still hasn’t dropped and no dilation. Am I crazy to have scheduled induction for Monday night (will be 39+5) then? I know it may end in a c section but I’m ready to eject baby and I’m not convinced this baby wouldn’t just keep hanging out.

Also my amniotic fluid was at 8 today (39+0). They said it was on low end of normal but Okay. If it gets lower, would they probably induce anyway??

  • @northbeach3

Yeah, if the fluid gets lower, they will induce. That's what happened to my sister -- she had low fluid at 36 weeks and they did an urgent induction (which led to a c-section).

  • @northbeach3 - is there a specific reason they wanted to schedule an induction? A lot can happen in half a week this late in pregnancy. I would imagine you are right though if they end up being worried about your amniotic fluid. I think it’s worth a conversation with your ob.  Your body naturally going into labor would be easier on your body than forcing labor but you may be ready by the weekend anyway.

  • @Griffin5413 I asked to be scheduled. I know going into labor naturally is def preferred but my anxiety is on the rise as is my discomfort.

I’m gonna sit on the yoga ball all weekend and hope something happens naturally but I mentally need an end point. I googled some more and it does seem like many women are induced without baby dropping to go on to successful vaginal births. I’m also okay if it ends in c section. I just know I’ve hit my wall when I’m secretly wishing for pre eclampsia or low fluid to get the show on the road. Those are terrible thoughts so I rather just have a plan to move forward. :/

I was the same way as wanting a definite "end" date. It sounds crazy, but I was super relieved in a way that I ended up with pre-E and got a definite delivery date. But I'm very type A and hate things without deadlines XD

good news @Griffin5413!  glad that your growth scan went well! my baby shower was yesterday and we had a lot of fun! I will have another one on the 12 at work for me and my boss since she's pregnant too. I'm starting my busy week next week so you probably won't hear from me much but i'm already to excited to read y'all update next week. take care and have a nice weekend!
  • @northbeach3 I am a proponent of letting the baby cook... So If it were me I would schedule something for closer to 41 weeks. My MW told me 95% of women have their babies by 41 weeks. Also so much can change in a very short period of time. That being said you need to do what is best for your mental health. If your OK with the possibility of a c-section than you can try induction earlier.
also no more scans for me unless there is a problem...
@Griffin5413 hopefully baby stays put for a while. some women have early changes but still don't go into labor till closer to the EDD.  glad your scan looked good

  • Hey guys! Just dropping by to tell you that I was admitted to the hospital last weekend for
bleeding... well it’s started off with my cyclic vomiting syndrome (violently puking for
hours) which I’m assuming all the pressure from retching caused me to bleed. At first it wasn’t too bad but when we went up to L&D and MH took me to the bathroom a huge gush came out which bought me the weekend inpatient. It slowed down and finally stopped. It was all from my
placenta previa. I was Released on Mon and in the OBs office tue morning where she put me on strict bedrest and we’ll be planning a c-sections on June 27th at 36 weeks. Im
hoping she was just being proactive and maybe we can push it back a week?? I’m still trying to absurd it all. I know most Baby’s are absolutely fine born 4 weeks early but I was Not expecting this.... at all so I’m definitely nervous!
  • @ndz2018
hugs to you and it sounds like your team has a good plan in place. Late preterm babies usually do just as well as full term babies, just might need a little catch up or help in the very beginning. It really varies from baby to baby. Anne was basically behaving like a full term baby when she was born at 35 weeks as far as breathing, temperature regulation, feeding, etc. I was born at 36 weeks myself and did need a little extra help with temperature regulation at first. Just keep touching base with your OB and maybe you can push it back a little -- I think she's probably just afraid of you going into labor with the previa as is. Just day by day - you can do it

  • @ndz2018 oh goodness! I’m glad you’re home and you have a plan.
  • @northbeach3 - I’m really comfortable delivering at any point now that I’m past 37 weeks. I don’t think she will come in the next day or 2 but who knows. Every baby is different. My son was born at 37 weeks exactly and he was completely fine. He had some jaundice but that’s it.
@ndz2018 that sounds scary! I’m glad you are ok. Bed rest is no fun but it it keeps your little one cooking a little longer it is worth it. I’ve been out of work for 2 weeks now basically on bed rest bc of my back. I am telling myself it’s forcing me to rest before she gets here. Your team knows what they are doing and I’m sure they will do everything they can to prepare your body and the baby for an early delivery!

@ndz2018 sounds scary and glad you doing good. 36 weeks should be fine, after that it is waiting game although the longer the better.

@northbeach3 good luck for induction today

I was meaning to write my induction story but not getting a chance I should say overwhelmed with the change
  • @northbeach3
Good luck today! Today is my birthday but if you're going in for an induction later in the day, I suspect your girl will arrive tomorrow! June is the perfect birthday month, by the way --- it's just towards the end of the school year so most of her friends will be in town (and not on vacation), once she's older finals will likely be over by her birthday, and she'll get to have pool parties and stuff like that for her birthday :-)  I have always enjoyed my June birthday!

  • @Griffin5413 well i'm rooting that LO stays put a bit longer. you're in the home stretch!

@ndz2018 oh man, that would certainly be scary! i know a month of bed rest will seem like an eternity, but you wanna keep that little one cooking away. i'll be thinking of you!!

@bkatp thanks for checking back in. sorry to hear that it's sounding overwhelming.  i guess i'm getting ready to cross over to that dark side! ;)

@mbradfo2 yes, good point on the june birthdays! mine is in early august and most friends were still on vacation and i never had my bday during school, so no cupcakes in class.  i actually know a lot of early june babies and they do seem to have the best of both worlds -- still in school, but almost summer time. :)

thanks ladies for all the well wishes on induction! had a good weekend trying to do pleasant things in my last weekend as a non-parent. today's gonna be kind of a mind fuck since I don't go in until 8pm.  couldn't sleep well last night b/c my mind was racing. hopefully i can get a few more naps in today. crazy to think that i'll be a parent tomorrow!

  • @northbeach3 good luck tonight/tomorrow!!
@bkatp sorry things are feeling overwhelming. You can do this. No new parent knew what they were doing when they started, you will find your groove.
@ndz2018 sorry you had another bleed. I hope this baby is able to bake for a while yet but even if not at this point most babies do great. hugs

  • @ndz2018 thanks for the update and sorry about the bleeding and all. You and baby will be fine and i know it sounds scary but sounds like you are in good hands! Take it easy, get some good rest and maybe things might get better where your ob decides to let baby cook a lil longer. Sending you hugs and positive vibes!
