Trying to Get Pregnant

R/R: my summer semester for my masters degree has begun and I’m already behind! Ah! Taking 2 courses during the last week of school is going to be a blast... at least it’s a long weekend this weekend! Then I can knock out some work!

We have our awards ceremony for our kiddos today, I can’t wait to see their faces when they are given their awards! My “most improved” is by far my favorite student this year, and my “best effort” is my second favorite. They both stole my heart this year! I can’t wait to brag about them today ❤️

CS/Q: I normally have a 28 day cycle. This is Day 28 and I haven’t even seen a confirmed O. I am starting to think I’ll spend a whole cycle in WTO. Temp drop this morning threw me. So did the EWCM. I’m so lost and confused. Thanks, AL cycle.

  • @brookert615 have so much fun! And FX for you that this is the month! We are rooting for you! Enjoy your relaxing weekend!

R/R: All is well in the rubella world. I posted the details in yesterday’s WTO so I won’t repeat here but DH is coming home today so we can get this month’s party started. We are going to see Dear Evan Hanson tonight so I’m excited about that. We are also going to dinner at this restaurant that we love - I must have made a reservation at some point although I don’t remember doing it. I was pleasantly surprised when I received a text yesterday asking to confirm my reservation!

@brookert615 I hope you have a great weekend! You will at least have a beautiful day today! We will miss you around here though!

@ejoseph16 noooo I was so sure with that temp yesterday that this was it. Enjoy the awards ceremony though, it’s so sweet that you are so excited to give them their awards

    WAYDTGKU:
-A more laid-back (low-pressure) approach, so no charting or temping.
-No contraception, sperm-friendly lubricant, staying healthy in general (working out, hiking, eating healthier), pre-natal vitamins, avoiding unnecessary chemicals/nasties in environment/food/pharms.
-Eating healthier. I've been adding in lots of extra fruits, vegetables (particularly greens and cruciferous ones), hemp hearts, sesame seeds, cacao powder, and olive/avocado oils.
-Maintaining a low caffeine intake. No alcohol (no biggie because I'm not a coffee or alcohol drinker).
    -Keeping a TTC journal.

    R/R:
We are in the middle of moving, and I am sick! This is probably the worst sore throat I've had in years. I've been in bed for the past 15 hours. Really hoping this doesn't affect my chances at conceiving this month. I should be in my fertile window, so this is really frustrating!

I'm also limited on cold medications I can take (I have an ulcer that gets irritated by many meds). I tried to avoid taking anything, but I woke up in so much pain that I caved. I took a low dose of Nyquil (alcohol-free) last night so I could actually sleep. I still slept terribly, but I did catch some Zs after taking the meds. I'm drinking green tea with honey today.

    CS/Q:
Related to my rant/rave: Does anyone know Nyquil or menthol cough drops are a bad idea when TTC? I'm hesitant to take much of anything right now!

WAYDTGKU: I've literally done all the things. opks. lost weight, eat great. herbs. acupuncture. teas. lay upside down. yada yada. . Still trying to be healthy and do my herb thing. But no more opks, no temping. It's been too long and I'm sick of obsessing over it at this point so I am going to try and do what everyone says and "relaaaaxxxx" as much as I can.  Currently undergoing testing so we'll see with that too. Have had 2 bfps within my time frame but both early losses. Just hoping for a sticky little bean like all of you lovely ladies..

R/R: I pray this comes soon bc I'm so sick of being stuck in TTC #1 phase, I'm like a TTC pro at this point and it never gets me anywhere. I feel so left behind. I know many women who have gotten pregnant, had their babies and here I am.. still at phase 1 every month. I do get hopeful sometimes, but then I'm constantly being let down. It's hard to imagine myself even getting out of this dreadful cycle month after month.

CS/Q: My biggest fear is that it won't happen for me at all and I won't get to become a mom. It's getting harder to see my dream come true.

@flowntheloop hey friend! I'm sorry to hear you are sick. If you want something more natural, Echinacea is a great herb to help boost your immune system and of course, Vit c. just keep going hard with it for next couple/few days and it should give your body the strength it needs to fight whatever you got going on! Hoefully being sick doesn't affect your chances this month. As long as you get some good BD in you should be good! GL

@brookert615 have an awesome trip! haha that's great he's feeling so optimistic! FX he's right and this is your month! ENJOY !

  • @valgal90 We HIO a lot this past week, but I'm worried that I might miss my chance by being sick these last couple/few days (of my predicted FW). Echinacea is a great idea. I wanted to drink some tea last night, but we moved a lot of our dried goods over to the new place this week so I didn't have access to them!

I'm so sorry you are struggling, and I hope that your dreams come true very soon. <3 *sending you so much love and positive energy*

@ejoseph16 Sorry about the frustrating cycle! I have no advice to give, but just wanted to acknowledge that that stinks!

@bows22 So happy for you that you're not benched! How crazy that they didn't send you the full explanation! Might have been helpful!

R/R: My coworkers and I might have a doggie meet-up this weekend, so I'm looking forward to that. It's Friday!

CS/Q: None right now! Thanks everyone, for the input yesterday about what you do to help with fertility. @kagesstarshroom, I totally went out and got GFJ and ordered RLT after your post!

  • m6aguam6agua member

@valgal90 I'm sorry you are struggling. Sorry if I missed this, have you looked into consulting with an RE?

@flowntheloop I hope you feel better soon! For me, warm salt water gargles through out the day help sore throats. Like do them a ton, more than you think. Also using a neti pot helps get rid of the post nasal drip typically.

@bows22 I was going to say, it looked like your results were missing. Glad it is figured out. I hope you have a wonderful evening!

@ejoseph16 the first cycle after a loss can be a bit wonky. Did they by chance track your HCG down to 0? It is possible that all of the stress from the end/start of school could be delaying O. Hopefully your body figures it out soon.

@brookert615 Have a fun weekend! Yay for fertile week aligning.

@m6agua I am starting to undergo testing starting with lab work then it will be a saline infused US. Unfortunatley, my insurance doesn't cover anything related to infertility so our testing can only go so far and we may have to pay out of pocket for some. They can do some testing that can fall under category for early mcs so that's what were doing now. I do know there have been some months our timing for frequency wasn't perfect. So were trying to really get our timing and frequency ON POINT and hope it works. We've been doing a lot of the same herbs and vitamins lately as you have listed so I'm hoping it helps too.

    FX FOR FEB 2020 HOPEFULS!

  • @m6agua Thank you. I've been doing salt water gargles but they aren't helping yet (so impatient, I know)! I know it takes time to fight it off, but this timing is just awful!
@valgal90 I really appreciate it! And no problem! You have lent me your ear on multiple occasions now! Here's to hoping I feel better by tonight! The hubby is bringing me home some soup, so I hope that will help!

  • @shoogapoff Aw yay that you ordered some stuff. Until the vitamins started getting expensive, I was like "well, it can't hurt--" but I definitely noticed the effect of the GFJ. The RLT seems like one of those... midwives tales that has been around since the beginning of time but is difficult to "prove." Just remember, not RLT during TWW (or 1st tri when you head over there [I am an optimist, FX]).

@brookert615 Yesssss. I knew you wouldn't have to OPK all weekend in the woods. And I love YH's confidence and "guru" status. HAVE FUN.

@rikiteacup So glad you can leave at your leisure! =)

@ejoseph16 Ugh I'm so sorry you are stuck in AL limbo. You'll be out of there before you know it, I hope. I am rooting for you. So glad you get to brag about your kiddos, and don't fall behind on your MA courses if you can help it! You got this. **TW** After my cp, I had a hard time getting motivated to get things done--so just be aware of that sort of thing. Don't take on too much if you find that you're a little depressed. I wish I had realized I was depressed sooner--instead, I threw myself into TTC to mask the sadness I felt, which gave me an excuse (for myself) when I wasn't able to take on the normal load. ***END TW*** Just take care of yourself, please.

@bows22 Ooo sounds like a classic date night! Enjoy dinner & a movie!

@valgal90 Your biggest fear is also mine. Hugs to you! Be sure you TW losses, please. If it's in the middle of the sentence, you can do what I've done above in my reply to ejoseph rather than hide it in a spoiler--that's best for longer accounts rather than just mentions. (Just looking out for you; I don't want you to accidentally upset someone! Putting "AL" in a sentence/answer is fine, but other than that--)

@m6agua I have MH on a similar vitamin roll call as yours! He's doing an omega/VitD, Coq10, VitC, and also I got him a multi.

R/R: I am sure I have a million rants, but none worth providing except--I am late to the game here today! As for a rave, my friend sent me a link to a self-breast massage, and I did it for myself, and it was kind of awesome. I had been having some pain from a cyst in my one breast, and though it's alleviated itself, the massage was just... really illuminating. It's apparently common in the East but not in the West for women to have their breasts massages/massage them themselves, and is great preventative medicine. I will be doing this more often.

CS/Q: I have nothing clever to say about my chart today!

~It is field day over here in elementary school land. I volunteered for the time-out room. I don't know what I was thinking...lol. My BF & I are going to his aunt's for a cookout this evening. No other big plans for the weekend--yet. I am sure something will come up with our friends. I am hoping for some decent weather so I can continue my yardwork adventures.

@brookert615 Good luck this weekend. It sounds fun & romantic! And maybe DH is right, the fertility gods have a plan.

@ejoseph16 I wish we did something nice like that :(  I am the 3rd grade intervention specialist & I hate the whole testing process; but I do have to brag, my group did amazing this year!  ***TW*** My first month after loss #2, I did not ovulate either. I had my saline ultrasound for RPL & I had a cyst. ***** It looks like I am back on track now though.

@bows22 Enjoy your weekend with DH!

@flowntheloop Oh no! I hope you feel better soon. I have been having a rough go with my allergies this spring. My throat has been dry & scratchy, eyes dry & itchy, and lots of sneezing!

@valgal90 It sucks getting in a rut with all the extras we do. I have been a bit cranky about it & lashing out at my BF. Stay strong.

@shoogapoff I am also going to follow @kagesstarshroom advice & pick up some fresh grapefruit. Hey-whatever I can do to boost my chances!

@m6agua So close to being cycle buddies! Enjoy your mini-break from work.

@rikiteacup Yay for an early Friday and a long weekend!

@kagesstarshroom A breast massage sounds interesting! Do you have to have that cyst looked at, or is it breaking up on its own?

  • @flowntheloop Oh no! Please feel better! I heard anything that dries up mucus is bad but normal old fashioned Mucinex is great and actually helps CM! We actually both are talking Mucinex during the FW! I also heard that Robitussin is great too! Anything that loosens mucus!

@valgal90 So sorry you’re having a tough time! Sending all the love your way! ❤️

@shoogapoff A doggie meetup sounds so fun! Enjoy your weekend!

@rikiteacup So cool about getting to head out early! Enjoy your weekend! Glad to see your temps are back to normal!

@kagesstarshroom Thanks lady! I might still try to do OPKs because I like to see the lines fade! Hopefully the bears and coyotes don’t judge me peeing in a cup 😂. Okay that breast massage sounds awesome! Thanks for sharing! I just read up on lymphatic massage and it seems super interesting from a whole body perspective!

  • @sevenn MH is a contractor (kind of--he has gotten away from that bc it suucks mostly bc he is super generous and NOT an a-hole?) & he gets so mad when he hears about how other contractors treat clients.

@omg1108 I read about all the different kinds of cysts (thanks, TCOYF! Good for so many things...) and I think it's the kind that is going away on its own. It's hard to tell bc I have always had "cysty" breasts. But this recent one was just an issue bc it hurt so damn bad--likely bc I squeezed it too hard, but I digress. So, since it has stopped hurting and seems to be going away, I probably won't go in just for that, but likely mention it next time I go to some sort of doctor for something (FX it's for the thing I hope it's for--that thing we all hope it's for!) I owe my ob soooo much money ****TW****loss**** my loss cost over 2K in bills ****TW over**** so we have been very slowly making a small payment each month on that. I know it's a bad reason to not call a Dr., but--like, I feel like I can't call her unless I have to bc of how much we owe. & my GP is kind of annoying--I don't want him touching my breasts, one, and two, he is just gonna recommend a specialist or something anyway. If it felt like it could be cancerous or if it doesn't go away/keeps hurting, I'll give in and decide to call one of them. For now, I'm happy that it had stopped hurting and maybe will go away? It seems to be? It's so hard to tell. Thanks for asking--sorry for my monster reply lol.

@brookert615 I am just imagining bears and coyotes watching you, fascinated, waiting for your OPK's lines to appear.

@brookert615 OMG, have fun on your trip! Lucky you it's your FW! FX!!!

@ejoseph16 this is fantastic about your students! Good job.

@bows22 enjoy your "surprise dinner"! So funny you don't even remember making the reservation. What a nice surprise.

@flowntheloop I would go to the doctor. Bad sore throat can get really bad fast.

@valgal90 sorry you're so frustrated. It's good you're going to get some tests. Make sure your H gets tested too. It's easy and cheap for men and will give a better picture. There's a few of us here who've been TTC for more than a year.

@shoogapoff enjoy your meetup! Are the dogs different breeds?

@m6agua lucky you! Enjoy your week off!

@kagesstarshroom one of my former employer gave out breast massage card that you could keep in the shower. I know my doc asks if check my breasts every month.

@sevenn how frustrating! I hope they come soon and don't hesitate to call them. Who care if they think you're annoying. Construction on your house is a big deal.

@omg1108 time-out room? I hope the kids are cute and funny.
