in comparison to your first labor &delivery, how did your second go? Were you over/ early with both, induced, length of labor, etc?
Due july 4 but feeling so much larger this time than last and hoping I go a few days earlier than last time(naturally one day before due date) ... 4 hours active labor first time
Re: 3TM+. Labor comparisons
#2 38wks4d (induced due to being 5cm and 80% effaced) water was broke starting labor and he was born less than 2hrs later.
#3 38wks4d (induced due to being 5cm and 80% effaced) water was broke starting labor and he was born less than 2hrs later.
#4 39wks1d (spontaneous) contractions were never consistent or regular. Water broke on its own at home and he was born 40 mins later.

My second was induced at 37W+2 due to high fluid levels. Broke my water to get things going and he was born 2 hours later.

#2 spontaneous at 37wk, 4 hours labor
#3 water broke without labor starting at 39wk. Labor only lasted an hour once things started but it took ~6 hours of pitocin to "start."
#2 38+5, went to the hospital in the evening with regular contractions. Started pitocin around 8am the next morning, she was born at 10am. DD came so fast once I was 10cm. The nurses were begging me to not push because she was basically out and the team needed wasn't there yet. Pushed through 1 contraction.
Because #2 came so fast, they warned me to not sit around and labor at home with this one.
#2 - 38w 1d: Had a membrane sweep at my weekly Midwife appointment. Walked our 65lb dog around the block when I got home and that was enough to trigger labor contractions. Went to the hospital, was checked in and got a delivery room. They broke my water a couple of hours later, and #2 was born under 2 hours later. From regular contractions to delivery was just under 5 hours. I also didn't have any pain from contractions until after my water broke.
If my water breaks or contractions start, I've been told to go directly to the hospital and call on the way. I am definitely worried about making it to the hospital, especially if my water breaks out of nowhere again. In rush hour the drive can be up to 45 minutes from our house.
#2 38w6d membranes stripped due to being dilated to a 5. She was here 2 hours later with one push.
#3 38w OB broke water due to spike in BP (was dilated to 3), she was here 5 hours later.
#2 Didn't recognize labor right away because I was getting so many BH. Again went to birth center, started pushing an hour later. Pushed for 3.5 hours also including ambulance ride. Delivered via emergency c-section. 5 days early.
Trying for a vbac this time, but going to a hospital!! Not sure what to expect because my labors are fast, but pushing hasn't gone so well😢 We will see what happens!
#2 40+2 scheduled cs since I went past my due date with no signs of labor
this one will be a rcs a week before my due date
1st - took 44 hours from admission to delivery
2nd - took 25 hours from admission to delivery
I definitely think your body knows more what to do after your first! We'll see how it goes this time around...
2- 40w 3d labored for 2 hours at home it got intense really fast, got to the hospital and was 7 cm dilated and had him 6 hours later with just a few pushes.
#2 Water broke in the evening 2 days before scheduled C. Checked into hospital for a.m. surgery, contractions got crazy around 3am, so they bumped everything up and we met her early
#3 (July 19 baby) Sceduled C again, but we’ll see what happens!
