  • @spongeworthy I'm glad you're finally getting in!  Will they do an u/s tomorrow?

My next appointment isn't until the 28th.  I'll go later this week for the NIPT bloodwork, and then the anxiety inducing wait will begin for those results to come back.  I'm hoping that this weekend I'll be able to find the h/b on the home Doppler.

  • @bakerstreetboys Yes I’ll get an ultrasound first.  I can’t believe you’re doing the NIPT already!  That wait will truly be torture 😫

  • @Spongeworthy I'm doing Panorama this time around instead of Harmony, because it can be done a week earlier at 9 weeks.  Given my history, saving a week will be huge!  I'm even going to ask if we can pay to have the results expedited.  Good luck tomorrow, I'll be watching for your update!
  • First US will be May 23, and my first midwife appointment isn’t until June 3. They’re both so long from now!
  • We are “cheating” today and going to a private ultrasound place this evening. MH wasn’t able to attend the first u/s last week, and with it being our first, I felt bad and sad having him wait for NT scan. I saw the baby last week, and all was good, for whatever reason having some anxiety and “what if” things aren't good any longer. Calm down crazy pregnant brain!!!

Next actual OB appt 5/29, and NT scan is 6/5. Still debating NIPT and trying to get an answer from insurance on cost to help decide.
  • @SpongeWorthy good luck tomorrow!

Our next appt is Friday, our first OB visit since graduating our ivf clinic. I’m so anxious!

Side Note- hard to believe some of us are approaching/in the 10th week already!

Today I’m officially at 10 weeks- crazy! I’m going in this morning for a check-up, ultrasound, and probably blood work for the NIPTs. I’m nervous, but feeling a lot better than I did last time I hit 10 weeks. At least this time I’m experiencing real symptoms!
  • Just got done with my appointment! Everything looked really good on US and I've only gained a pound in the past few weeks which I'm pretty happy about. Got blood drawn, urine screen, had a Pap test, all the standard stuff. Next appointment is in 5 weeks. Boring is good!

@cpk3535 good luck with yours today!

Today’s appointment went great!  @nothingbuttherain mine was similar- just good measurements and heartbeat, nothing too crazy!  The only thing now is that I have to wait a week-ish for the results of the NIPTs bloodwork.  I hope all goes well there!  My next office appointment is also in 5 weeks, looking forward to it!❤️❤️
  • @Spongeworthy I'm happy to hear that the appointment went well, despite the puking and near pass out!  I'm right there with you...I feel like nothing will truly reassure me until my baby is born healthy.  It's always, ok, what test or u/s do we have to pass next.  Bring on the next hurdle.  I'm still trying to figure out a way to deal with it.
  • @bakerstreetboys Girl, you get it.  After the rug is pulled out from under you once, it’s never going to be the same again 💔

  • I managed to call a place in the city and got an ultrasound today instead of in 2 weeks (though I had to drive 45 minutes to get here). Anyway, baby is measuring ahead of what I thought by 3 days, so I’m 7w2, and heart rate was 149 ❤️
  • @SpongeWorthy Glad to hear your appt went well! I’m with you on the anxiety, until I bring home a baby I’ll be on edge.

@CapricaAndrea Yay for your early US!

Just got out of my first OB appt! He did a pelvic and says I’m about 6-8 weeks which is about right. He told me based on his calcs it’s 12/26 due date. But I’m still thinking 12/25. Go for an ultrasound next Thursday so I can see my little nugget!

  • My appointment went well, other than them being fire and brimstone about being overweight. I was there recently for my annual, and I've lost weight since then, so I was a little annoyed, but I get it.

They ordered my 1st tri blood work, and I got a surprise U/S.  Baby looked good, measuring 7w3d with a heart rate of 162.

Once they get the U/S results, they're going to write me the order for NIPT.  My insurance covers it since I'm over 35, so I'm definitely going to get it.

My next appointment is going to suck a little...I have to get a colposcopy.  I'm a little nervous with having it done while pregnant, but they said that it's pretty low risk.

    Question for you ladies...

I had my first appointment today. According to my last period I am 8 weeks. However, at my vaginal ultrasound today baby is measuring 6 weeks 2 days. Saw a heartbeat, everything is where it should be and according to my doctor “looks great”. I was panicking at the dates being so off, but he didn’t seem concerned at all. He’s letting me come back in two weeks to make sure things are progressing for my piece of mind but I don’t want to fall into the google trap. I straight up asked him if I should be preparing for the worst and he said no more than anybody else. Am I crazy?

If it helps I do know I ovulated late - would’ve been day 18 or 19 and I don’t have perfect 28 day cycles, typically 29-32. I just can’t account for being two weeks off and I want to be excited but can’t. I wasn’t trying or tracking with my first so none of this stuck in my head to remember.

sorry in advanced if this is the wrong thread, I wasn’t sure where to ask 🤷🏻‍♀️
  • @allison_smith_6212 mine does the same thing with scheduling every appointment and I think it’s fab! Even one past my due date just in case.
  • @mhamik going off of ovulation date for a long cycle is more accurate. I believe for a 28day cycle ovulation is normally around day 12-14? So if you’re a was 29-32 the measuring of 6 weeks would be more accurate.

Its hard to not google and/or stress about everything!
  • @mhamik Were you tracking your cycles at all?  When did you get your first positive test?

I’d love to give you a positive story, but sadly mine was not.  DS was measuring 7 days behind at our first ultrasound, which I knew was impossible because of when I got my BFP.  He ended up having a lot of issues and measuring further and further behind the whole pregnancy.  But there are plenty of success stories out there, as well.

Unfortunately a lot of pregnancy is a wait and see game.  If your doctor is not worried yet, it’s best to try and not worry about it.  I know that is an impossible task.  I hope your ultrasound in two weeks gives a positive update.  We’re here to support you in the mean time ❤️

Had my second round of HCG testing today, came back good at 146629 (last week it was 69459). I've been spotting the last couple days so I was very relieved to see my levels rising.

I have my first midwife appointment on Thursday. Not sure if she'll send me for a sooner u/s becaise my first u/s isn't scheduled until June 5th!
  • I had GD with DD#2, so I have to go take my screening Friday morning. I hope they have decent WiFi.

@spongeWorthy - yes, not tracking bbt but using OPKs. My last period was March 18th (giving me the 8 week number) but I got a positive OPK on cycle day 17 (April 4th) and a positive pregnancy test on April 18th. Test was not faint but not glaringly positive either. I was fully prepared for the worst seeing the “6 week and 3 days” measurements coming up on the screen, but my doctor had zero concerns. I trust him but having a hard time accounting for two weeks even with late O and test. I really like him so don’t want him to be nonchalant for no reason!
  • @mecoats, I wish that I could wait until then too. LOL  Oh well, at least it will be out of the way, I guess.
