Trying to Get Pregnant

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 18

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, CM, Pre seed, PNV, ED

R/R: I’m sure I’m worried for nothing but my OPK was very light still yesterday and FF has my fertile window starting today. I saw some EWCM last night. I’m just extra nervous since I don’t actually know if I’m ovulating. If I don’t get a positive OPK this month I might get some of the ClearBlue ones and Pregmate ones for next time and try all 3. Then I can drive myself crazy wondering which ones to believe 🤣

WAYDTGKU: Prenatal vitamins, Fertility Friend, temping, OPKs, fertility tea. First RE appointment is next week.

R/R: HIO has been put on hold at the Emerald house.😕 DH's allergies have been really bad the last 2 days and I don't want to put pressure on him(plus the poor guy can barely breathe). Oh well. It is what it is, and O is still at least another 4 days away, so it's fine.

CS/Q: FF is telling me that my rocky temps could mean either delayed O or that I may not even O this cycle. That's making me slightly nervous.

  • @varimama I would trust the CM over the OPK. If you have a really short LH surge, it can be hard to catch on OPKs. Mine don't always get progressively darker. I have had months when the test line is barely visible one day and then really dark the next.
  • @emeraldduchess Hopefully he's back to feeling better later in your FW!

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    WAYDTGKU: BBT, FF, HIO, PNVs

R/R: Rant: Still waiting to hear if I need to wake up in the middle of my sleep today to take my ILs to a doctor's appointment. I'd like to plan my day and nap time, so we'll see.
Rave: DH did the dishes last night, so we had some time to play the Nintendo Switch. If that's his motivation to help me get stuff done around the house, then I'm all for it!

R/R: I’m done with my masters degree class for the spring! I wrote my last paper last night! Woohoo! Now, 4 classes for summer start in a week and a half. Hooray! Lol

my STEM challenge went very well with my students yesterday... can’t wait to hear the groans when we get back to reading class today. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

CS/Q: still wondering if I’ll ovulate. Who knows?!
@emeraldduchess hopefully YH feels better soon! You’ve got baby making to do!

@varimama I struggle with that every few cycles. I O 1 week later every few cycles. Keep monitoring it. It’s good to find your pattern.

@MrsVP614 isn’t it funny how men are like children? They need a reward to do the dishes. MH actually offered to do them last night because he wanted to... I didn’t even argue.
  • @emeraldduchess thanks I hope I see a darker line soon but until then we’re just going to act like FF is right and this is my FW. I hope your H feels better in time for yours!

@MrsVP614 yup any reason to get DH to do the dishes is a good one 🤣

@ejoseph16 congrats on finishing your classes for the spring! Glad your STEM challenges went well!

  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: CD11

WAYDTGKU: BBT, OPKs (cheapies and Clearblue advanced digital). Also taking prenatal vitamins. I ditched my Rainbow lites which tasted horrible and started taking Olly chewables. So much better.

R/R: So I took the Clearblue advanced digital ovulation test yesterday and today for the first time. Yesterday I got nothing (empty circle) but this morning I got the flashing smiley face so I think that means my estrogen is rising which is good news. Waiting to O after taking out my IUD has been painful. My cheapie OPK is still negative which makes sense. I'll be testing twice a day from now on until I get a positive. DH is leaving on Sunday morning for a work trip so I'm hoping I ovulate before he leaves.

In other news, I found out I got a couple of scholarships to support my grad studies so I'm super happy.

CS/Q: I'm wondering if my temping is off because I take it at different times. I'm too lazy to wake up at the same time. Do you ladies set an alarm for your BBT?
  • @ejoseph16 I'm on the last leg of spring classes as well. Cheers!

  • @ihaveprayed I’m not temping now but when I was it was really important that I temped at the same time or my temps were all over the place. I set a timer for a little before when I would usually wake up that way it was almost always at the same time.

  • @MrsVP614 That is nice of you to drive your IL's. Are they always this slow to communicate/respond?

@ejoseph16 Congrats on finishing your class. The summer sounds intense, but probably better to get it over with before you are pregnant!

@emeralduchess FX YH feels better. Sorry your OPK is so confusing.

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

WAYDTGKU: EOD starting soonish. Starting Clearblue digital and Pregmate LH Ovulation strips.

R/R: Sorry for my radio silence the past week. It felt good to take a break after all of my SS.

I got on the elliptical twice last week, my diet prior was not very nutritious, so I am focusing on more fruits and vegetables this week. Chicken salad wraps for lunch if I can find time to make a big batch.

I am also going to call my old OB and ask about the uterine fibroids I had a couple years ago. Maybe it will provide some useful information.

@bobbyflies2020 The ILs "prefer" not to drive where I live, so that means DH and I drive them everywhere. It's pretty annoying, so I'm hoping they learn to get around more on their own. Ha!
@ihaveprayed I temp consistently through the week, when I get up for work, but not on weekends, since I work third shift and my sleep changes. It definitely makes a difference in my chart when it varies that much, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it would make if it's at least within an hour or so.

R/R:  just general CD1 disappointment.  But ready to come back and be more active around here after a quick bump break.

    CS/Q:  nothing to see yet.
  • @ejoseph16 Congrats on finishing your MA classes this semester! I just turned in student grades yesterday. Also, do you know how to make a spoiler for your chart? It's pretty easy!

@lcking82 We are CD1 buddies--yay for having a buddy, super boo for CD1 =/ Glad you are back, but I hope it's not for long. <3

@bobbyflies2020 I am aiming for a lower-carb diet this cycle, which I am finding to be more difficult than I thought. So many things are carbs! I hope your call w/ your OB is fruitful.

@varimama Sorry about your OPK drama Are you testing twice a day? My O CD definitely is not always the same day, so FF's little green boxes are not always accurate for me, but I still try to HIO EOD once it goes green. Also, I'm w/ Emerald--my OPKs usually aren't progressive. I usually get a positive that's like "is that a positive?" and then a blazing one next, but before those ones it all is light/looks the same.

@emeraldduchess Sorry about your rocky temps! I hope FF is wrong. Also, I think w/ tracking it comes down to--would I rather know or not know things? Like, would I rather know that I might not O or just try and hope anyway? I think I'd rather know? but I'm not actually sure...

    Month/Cycle: 8/4AL

    CD: 1

WAYDTGKU: PNV, omegas & VitD, Green Tea, FF,  I suppose now that it's CD1 I'll get back into my RLT & CoQ10 (I ran out & figured I would replenish once AF came,) and I think we're gonna try SMEP this cycle. & eventually... BBT, CM, OPKs

R/R: Turned in final grades yesterday. Now I have to figure out what to do for work this summer. I am so tired of being a PhD student. My friends threw a "grades are in!" party for all of us in the program last night, and we went early to that and stayed a few hours and that was fun! DH ran the kiln in our backyard when we got home (he'd been heating it up all evening), though, and he had to turn it up every hour for three hours--I was like "um, can you sleep on the couch?" He did until it was at its highest temp, thankfully. I hope his bowls and cups turn out pretty! He will have to refire them with glazes after this firing.

  • @ejoseph16 That's awesome about finishing your classes!

    @lcking82 So sorry about CD1  <3

@bobbyflies2020 Hope your OB can give you some clarity! Yay on the good changes you're making!

@varimama That's annoying about the OPKs. Mine are progressive but obviously having too much water in your system can really mess with them. I usually take them in the morning now because it's the best reading that I will get and then once they start getting darker I will take later in the afternoon. I have tried the Clearblue OPKs along with my cheapies and I've gotten peaks on the same days if that helps.

@emeraldduchess So sorry that you've had to put the brakes on HIO. Hope YH feels better! Hope you can still line up O perfectly!

@MrsVP614 Hope you can get an answe from your IL's soon! So cute about YH doing the dishes so you could play nintendo together!

@ihaveprayed Hope you can get your timing right before YH leaves!

    @sevenn Enjoy the beautiful day!

@kagesstarshroom Yay for turning in final grades! Glad you were able to enjoy the party last night! That's so cool that YH made some cups and bowls! So fun! Can you share with the class once they're all done? I'm into that kind of stuff lol.

I'm a little nervous still because looks like our FW will be that weekend so I'm not even sure if it's worth temping and doing OPK's even though I still plan on doing both somehow lol.

  • @brookert615 I literally was just trying to figure out what happened to you & you appeared! I will def. share pics once his work is done! I feel like I would at least want to try to do OPKs camping, and temping shouldn't be hard, but yay for a new tent! Is it easy to set up? Can you stand up in it? Our tent currently offers both of those options, which I appreciate, plus it has this thing with a lot of pockets in it for storage, which makes me happy bc I overpack and it helps me to organize and then find all the unnecessary things I packed.

@kagesstarshroom I've been trying to lurk but couldn't keep up yesterday since I was so busy. And this morning I went down the rabbit hole on TB because I found out some CRAZY stuff LOL. So the tent we had was an okay size like fit a queen air mattress and a teensy bit of walking room. I bought myself that tent over 10 years ago when I was with my ex so I kind of had some anger issues towards that tent because of some really rough times. But this NEW tent has two rooms, two doors, bluetooth and LED lights, and it's like 6'4" height, AND and easy-up tent. We are both tall so it is super nice to not have to worry about that lol. The storage pockets are GREAT! There were tents that legit had closets haha. Sorry that was way longer than it should have been  :D.

    Also - sorry about CD1! <3

  • @bobbyflies2020 mmm chicken salad wraps sound really yummy. I’m trying to eat better 3 days a week (starting small) and I really push the fruits and veggies those days! Darned if my body doesn’t feel better on those days as well 🤣

@sevenn I’m jealous of your spring weather. Ours is still lingering winter with spring rain. I have a feeling at this point we’re just going to miss spring and it’ll jump to 95 and humid

    @lcking82 sorry about CD1

@kagesstarshroom sorry about CD1! I’m going to try temping this afternoon too. I was waiting for my green boxes on FF bc I didn’t want to waste a bunch of tests so hopefully that helps and maybe it will be like you said and just suddenly be dark! Also I’d love to see pictures of the bowls, I love pottery!

@brookert615 your tent sounds sweet! I feel like if DH is ever going to convince me to go camping we need a tent like that 🤣 It’s so hard to not have too much water in your system so maybe that is screwing mine up. I read not to take them with first morning so I’ve been trying not to drink a lot and take it 2nd time I go during the morning. Today I’m trying to not drink for a couple hours and then take it again so we will see. It just combats my goal of always pushing drinking water!

  • @kagesstarshroom I always mean to put a spoiler box, but I usually am posting in a rush in the morning before getting to school and don’t take the time to figure it out. How do you do it again? I’ll try tomorrow. 🤦🏼‍♀️

@ihaveprayed I get it with the OPK’s. I miss clear blue digital but holy **** they were expensive! I did enjoy the smiley faces though! My cheapies are just as effective, just not as much fun. Also, I have a timer for my BBT. My alarm goes off at 5, and I temp then go take my OPK. much more consistent that way.

@bobbyflies2020 my plan was to be done with my masters before pregnancy, but life got in the way. Needed to get some endorsements first. I got a job because of the endorsements, but I do wish I had my masters complete. Oh well. I’m close!
  • @ejoseph16 I just wasn't sure if you knew how--so here's a refresher! you highlight what you want to go in it & then click ¶ from the above menu & a dropdown box will appear & you choose "spoiler".

@varimama I think you meant opking not temping, and good luck! Yeah, I usually start OPKs like the day before my green boxes? SMEP recommends you do so starting, like, day 10 or something, which would be wasteful to so many ppl! This reminds me, I need to check my stock & restock if need be! (Geez, I remember the day I first bought my wondfos & was like "I won't need 50* of these!" Sigh.
*or whatever large # it came w/

@brookert615 Damn that's like a luxury tent! Into it.

  • @kagesstarshroom yes I meant OPKing! It was still really light this afternoon. Oh well I’m just going to try and be patient. What is SMEP? Yea I’d be going through a 50 count every 2 months if I started on day 10 lol. I think I started too early as it was on day 15 but it’s hard to do nothing for so long with my long cycles 🤷🏻‍♀️

    CS/Q:
  • @varimama I am already antsy to start temping again, which I don't do until after AF, & it's CD1 lol so I feel you. ((((TW)))) When I was on here late last year before my loss (((((end TW))))) SMEP was like totally "in." It's the "Sperm Meets Egg Plan" and it's a heavy-on-the-BD plan to give you what's supposed to be the best shot at the sperm & egg getting together. Also, update: I think I'm good on the OPKs in terms of #, but I'm tempted to buy more Wonfo HPTs bc I feel like I'm less stressed when I can take them more often? But also DH & I share an Amazon & I know he'll be all side-eye if I buy a ton of them haha.

@kerco925 Hi welcome back! <3 I had an early O date & missed my FW bc I was traveling a few cycles ago--total bummer, I get it.
  • @kagesstarshroom thanks! I guess my plan was pretty close to SMEP without knowing it. I share an amazon account with my H too and when I bought the 50 pack he was like what could you need 50 for? I’m just like I hope that’s all I need!
