Re: Weekly Check-in Group 3 (Jan 17-24) w/o 5/13

  • Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: 1/23/20 / 3+4 (I think this will change)

Baby is the size of a(n): poppy seed

Upcoming Appointments: need to go do confirmation test later this week. Probably Thursday.

How are you feeling?: tired. Really tired. And nauseated. And TMI but I’ve had diarrhea so bad 🤦🏻‍♀️

Rants/Raves:  I want to be really excited but because of last time I just feel like “yeah we’ll see” which makes me so sad.  I’m planning on telling my husband when he comes gone for lunch today so that’ll hopefully lift my mood

    Questions: nope

GTKY: If you were a pet, what animal would you be? Probably a cat. You can basically do whatever you want and people don’t care. Because you are a cat
  • Loading the player...
  • @MrsJessS I totally get the “we will see” feeling. It sucks we can’t be excited right off the bat about it.

    Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: 1/22/20 3w5d

Baby is the size of a(n): vanilla bean seed

    Upcoming Appointments: hopefully starting betas

How are you feeling?: anxious. I’ve had cramping, my breasts are tender and I’ve been exhausted. I’ve had slight nausea on and off.

Rants/Raves: super annoyed with my drs office. Everyone does everything different. Since I see the RE I usually just get sent for a blood test, today they are making me sit and wait to see the nurse, then sent to the lab for a urine test, then who knows from there. Tw* I’ve had 6 losses, I don’t want to f around here.

    Questions: nope

GTKY: If you were a pet, what animal would you be? A cat. I could be an asshole and people would still love me lol.
  • @MrsJessS - Ugh, nausea already? I'm hoping that holds off for a few weeks for me. I understand the "we'll see" thought process. I don't want to make too many plans or buy things yet.

    Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: January 18 / 4w+2d

Baby is the size of a(n): Braille dot

Upcoming Appointments: Today! They will let me know if I need to get on progesterone or not

How are you feeling?: Good. Not really any symptoms other than some cramping.

Rants/Raves: *TW MC* Last night I got woken up by some strong cramps but before I woke up, I had a dream that I had miscarried again. It took me a few minutes after I woke up to realize it was just a dream.
My DD's teacher is pregnant too! She has had one miscarriage and one stillborn, and I'm thrilled for her! She's about a month ahead of me and just announced on Mother's Day.

Questions: Anyone know what threshold they put you on progesterone? Google is saying 9?

GTKY: If you were a pet, what animal would you be? Probably a dog, maybe a sheepherder? That's what I feel like every day with a toddler.
  • @kbrown2385 - They are making you do a urine test instead of a blood test? That doesn't seem very proactive. Do you normally start right on progesterone?
  • @kbrown2385 I hope they get you in for betas.

@marebear15 I think maybe it's 10? I know I was borderline last time at 12. And ever since I've been on Progesterone since 1dpIUI. I'm so sorry about the MC dream. How scary.

    Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: 1/18, 4w3d

Baby is the size of a(n): Poppyseed

Upcoming Appointments: Beta #2 today! I really hope I'll get the results today.

How are you feeling?: I have a cold. I can't tell if it's cold like symptoms related to PG, or  I just randomly got a cold at the same time I found out I'm PG. Also constipated, slightly nauseous, my boobs hurt. I feel twinges and cramps coming and going every now and then too.

Rants/Raves: I'm so excited to be PG but I'll admit I'm super nervous too. *TW* I had a MMC at 8wks and I'm so afraid of losing this baby. Maybe I'll feel better when my 2nd beta comes back.

    Questions: Not right now.

GTKY: If you were a pet, what animal would you be? I'd love to be a hippo. Just lay around in the water. I had a weird obsession with Hippos as a kid, and wanted one to live in our pool lol

    Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: Jan20, 2020/ 4 weeks today

Baby is the size of a(n): poppy seed

Upcoming Appointments: still need to schedule

How are you feeling?: nervous/in disbelief. Otherwise good. Some cramping and tender breasts.

Rants/Raves: this is my first pregnancy so I seriously want to shout it from the rooftops but I guess you're supposed to wait until you enter 2nd trimester so that has me feeling anxious. Once I confirm with the doctor I'll probably share with a couple close friends and my mom and sister.

    Questions: none yet

GTKY: If you were a pet, what animal would you be? Definitely a cat. I could do what I want and never show remorse because it's expected and I'd still get cuddles, on my terms.

@MrsJessS I'm sorry you don't have that excited feeling yet due to previous loss. *hugs* but FX this is it 🌈 and as the weeks pass you'll feel as excited as you deserve to be. This is great news! So congratulations! ❤

@kbrown2385 I'm so sorry to hear about your losses. *hugs* rooting for you that this is your rainbow! 🌈 congratulations! ❤

@marebear15 what a scary dream! I'm sorry for your previous loss *hugs* but FX this is your rainbow! 🌈 congratulations! ❤ that's great news about your DD teacher! It's nice you have someone IRL to be on the same journey as you 😊
  • @hanshotfirst77 - Ugh, my progesterone came back at 10.9. I have an appointment this afternoon, so maybe they'll prescribe me some then.
I hope your betas come back quickly! I know I'm not going to feel comfortable until I get at least past the point where I started spotting last pregnancy, and probably not even until closer to 12 weeks.

@peppyj9 - We wait to tell the world until closer to 12 weeks, but I tell all my family and close friends right after I find out. It doesn't matter how long I carry this baby, I think it deserves to be celebrated!
  • @marebear15 yeah I have a feeling I’ll be the same. Feels like the betas are the first hurdle but then I'll probably still feel nervous until the first scan or even second. Since last pregnancy my first scan was actually ok. Good luck with your appt, I hope they can get you on Progesterone supplements if they think you need them.

@peppyj9 I told my mom right away. But will probably wait for the rest of family and publicly until around 12 wks.  My sister is also PG and she told the family right away. It's really what you feel comfortable doing.

  • Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: Jan 17- 4w3d

Baby is the size of a(n): poppy seed

Upcoming Appointments: not until May 29

How are you feeling?: great! Not any different really, which freaks me out because with my daughter I was exhausted and starving before I even got a positive test.

Rants/Raves:  Last night I told my 2 year old daughter that there was a baby in my belly and she looked in my bellybutton to find it. Might have been early to tell her but oh well- it was adorable.

    Questions:

GTKY: If you were a pet, what animal would you be?  I have an old chihuahua and she pretty much lives the life- getting to sleep all day and eating treats.
  • @justbeachy888 - Lol, I told my 1.5 year old that I had a baby in my belly, and she lifted my shirt trying to find it 😂
  • @marebear15 I believe they like progesterone above 10. My RE has me start right after ovulation. After a couple of hours, going down to the office to talk to them in person, speaking to 3 nurses and finally getting ahold of my RE, I finally got in for a beta. I should have results this afternoon. It’s military medicine and they drive me crazy!

@hanshotfirst77 sorry you’re sick on top of general pg symptoms!

@peppyj9 I wait to tell after 12 weeks because of my history. I’ve had to tell everyone it didn’t work out and I never want to have to do that again. I do tell 3 of my friends as I know they will support me if I need it. It’s really up to you though. Whatever makes you comfortable!

@justbeachy888 that is so sweet about your dd
  • @kbrown2385 that’s so frustrating! I hate when the drs just don’t seem to care

@marebear15 oh my lanta. I only took a test yesterday morning because I threw up first thing. I only got sick a handful of times with DS so this is unpleasant. Sorry about the awful dream. And FX they get you sorted with the progesterone!

@hanshotfirst77 here’s hoping for a quick turnaround on your beta! Do you know how long the usually take? I know my dr it’s 2 hours ish but takes 4 days to go online if they forget to call you 🤦🏻‍♀️

@peppyj9 I really think you can tell people as soon as you are comfortable. Even though my last didn’t stick, I talked to a lot of friends about it. MH was away and had no phone so I leaned on my friends through good and bad and would not have changed it. It’s nice to have people to talk to about it. I just don’t put things on social media until after the first trimester  (Mostly ditto what @marebear15 said!)

    @justbeachy888 that’s so cute w your daughter!
  • @MrsJessS if I go to my RE I find out in a few hrs. But my RE office is over an hr away so I go to a local lab and turn around time is so inconsistent. Sometimes it’s by the afternoon but my first beta on Friday I didn’t hear back until late Saturday. And I had to basically call the after hrs number repeatedly to get an answer. So frustrating!

  • @hanshotfirst77  Oh that’s so frustrating! My Dr was an hour away with DS a nd it was frustrating enough to have to drive that many times for a “normal” pregnancy
  • @MrsJessS yeah it's such a pain. Fortunately, I'm actually moving this summer and will be much closer to my RE (But I'm hoping I'll be graduated from him by then anyways) and will just have to find a new OB.

@marebear15 @hanshotfirst77 @kbrown2385 @MrsJessS thanks! I agree with what you all said. I think since it's my first, it's warranted to share early because regardless it deserves to be celebrated and I think I'd like the extra support if for some reason it didn't stick. Though I definitely understand why so many wait the 12 weeks.

Est Due Date/Weeks + Days:  Jan 20th or so/4 weeks

Baby is the size of a(n): poppy seed

Upcoming Appointments:  I haven't called yet.

How are you feeling?:  Nauseated and starving.  Super tired - my 4 year old has been waking in the middle of the night.

Rants/Raves: My husband has been especially great this past week.   I am feeling thankful for him this week.

Questions: none for myself.  @peppyj9 - I always tell anyone that I would talk to if I was going through a miscarriage.  My husband, my sister(+husband), and my best friend know now.

GTKY: If you were a pet, what animal would you be?  A cat I think.  It's sounds peaceful to be left to my own devices, and then cuddled when I wanted.

@MollySm thanks! I've already told my best friend and it felt so good to tell someone other than my husband! I'm going to wait until after my appointment next week to tell a few others. Also, hey, we're due date twins 😊

    Edit: autocorrect
  • Est Due Date/Weeks + Days: EDD 1/18 4w2d

Baby is the size of a(n): Braille dot/water bear

Upcoming Appointments: How are you feeling?: I'm so tired and I have no patience for DH (I'm much more patient with my little guys but they are still making me crazy). The nausea and cramping is not helping how cranky I am!

Rants/Raves: Questions: I just wanted to go and get my betas and progesterone levels drawn (history of low progesterone/mc) but instead I have to go to a "confirmation of pregnancy" appointment which is going to make tomorrow morning stressful with 2 school drop offs and then having ten minutes to get to the only available appointment of the day. Rave: my 10 year wedding anniversary is Thursday and I have a date night!

GTKY: If you were a pet, what animal would you be: I want to be a cat so i can lie in the sun all day and sleep..

  • @MollySm - My 1.5 year old has been waking up every night too. It's only for a few minutes, but sometimes I wonder when will they ever sleep!

@motherof3dragons - That does sound like a stressful morning. Did you get in okay and get your labs?
