Re: WTO Weekend 5/11-5/12

  • Late this morning and still the first to post? Ok!

    Month/Cycle: 5/1 AL

    CD: 14

WAYDTGKU: BBT and OPK, benched this month.

R/R: MH and I are going golfing today... I guess this is a good thing? He loves golfing, I’ve never gone before. He bought me pink golf clubs and promised I can drive the golf cart, so I’m in. Especially if he lets me drink a beer or 2!

Also, date night was last night, and we went out for Mexican! I’ve been craving Mexican for a whole now, so I got a margarita too! Lol. As we are drinking and eating chips and salsa, my teammates student teacher walks up to me and says hi. Apparently she was on her senior bar crawl. 🤣😂 too funny!

CS/Q: you know, just a wackadoo AL chart, no biggie. 🤦🏼‍♀️ If I could just ovulate, that would be great. I just want to get back to TTC.

  • @ejoseph16 So fun about your date night! A margarita sounds AMAZING! Enjoy golfing today!!!

@emeraldduchess Yay on getting caught up on all of the grading! Enjoy your walk! So exciting about the audition! You’ll do great! And too funny about the Julie Andrews comment! 😂

    Month/Cycle: 10/10

    CD: 2

WAYDTGKU: Metformin, Armour, PNV, normal vitamins, RLT, Vitex... other stuff but can’t remember. Mobile bumping.

R/R: WEEKEND IS HERE! I got to sleep in and it was glorious lol.

    your Julie Andrews comment 🤣
  • @ejoseph16 woohoo for date night and margaritas! Hope you have fun golfing!

@emeraldduchess that’s great you got a dent in your grading, hope that means you can really enjoy your walk!

    @brookert615 yay for sleeping in!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 15

WAYDTGKU: OPKs, CM, Pre-seed, PNV, EOD (switching to ED on Monday)

R/R: we won our game last night (Pandemic Legacy month of May)! It was so close there was only going to be 1 turn left and it was our last shot to win May so we were pretty psyched. That was probably the highlight of my weekend so now I’m just hoping to make it to next weekend!

CS/Q: This is my first time with OPKs and I got Wondfos. I’ve done a couple of them on CD 13 and 14 and they were very light so negative which I was expecting but honestly I was curious. Do they gradually get darker until it’s positive or will they stay really light until suddenly LH is detected and it’ll be positive?

  • @varimama I just started wondfo this cycle as well, and I’m probably not the right person to answer but I’ll do my best. From what I understand they are supposed to gradually get darker. Mine have been crazy the past few days but I think that’s due to my loss. I’m not sure. Mine appeared to be lighter yesterday than it had been, but today it was closer to being as dark as the control line. Clear as mud?
  • @ejoseph16 oh man, can't go wrong ever with some chips and salsa! My favorite chips and salsa is from Chilis. I very much like salsa that isn't chunky. I'm not a fan of tomatoes so salsas that have chunks of diced tomato in it are no bueno to me. Recently I gained a love for tomatillo (green) salsas. Yum!

@emeraldduchess good luck on your audition! Cinnamon rolls sound soooo good right now! Probably my #1 breakfast pastry item! I love when we joke about the shapes of our charts  :D

@brookert615 seriously loving it being the weekend too  <3  strangely DH had to set his alarm for 6:30 for a recycling event and I was surprisingly NOT tired. Why can't I be like this on weekdays  :D  anyone else have this problem? No? Just me? lol

@varimama I think for me it's depended on the cycle. Sometimes it's gradual, other times I've had ones so light I think it's going to take another 5 days to get even close to positive then boom! it's positive the next day. It might appear more gradual if you test once in the morning and once in the afternoon each day. Obviously levels can change a lot in just 24 hours  :)

    Month/Cycle: 23

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: BCP through 5/25, SHG on Monday, IVF meds start 5/19, plus PNV and vitamin D

R/R: sorry for being absent from the dailies yesterday! I ended up traveling yesterday instead of Thursday. And thank god we changed those plans because I probably wouldn't have gotten home until at least 7pm or even later if I had traveled Thursday. F that lol. My mom asked me yesterday about attending my grandpa's birthday party today and thankfully when I said no she didn't say anything else about it. *TW story in spoiler, need to get this off my chest and it's LO heavy*
3 babies on my mom's side of the family were born in the last month and a half (one of which being my sister's first). I'm just feeling bitter since the other 2 are cousins (who are also brother and sister) that got married the same year I did. Not a huge issue, but the girl cousin that got married about a month and a half before me was only engaged for like 7 months so yeah, it felt a bit like my thunder was taken. As far as I'm concerned it seemed like she hardly lifted a finger (my aunt and uncle did most of the planning) since she was finishing her last year in college. Anyway, boy cousin and his wife had #2 in March, and have probably taken... 4-5 months max to conceive both. Pretty sure the girl cousin took maybe 2-3 months. My sister took... 6? Also, boy cousin's #2 is a girl and was F'ing born 1 year later, almost to the hour, from when our grandma passed away. Girl cousin had her baby 3 days ago, which just so happens to be our grandpa's birthday.
I get it, I should be happy for these people but it's just so like... why is everything so perfect and so meaningful for everyone else and not me? I was hoping to get pregnant and have a baby in March this year in honor of my grandma and now it's like F that plan, it's already been done (not to mention that my cousin used our grandma's name as the middle name for their newborn! I'm reaching a point that I don't even want to see extended family until I have one in my arms.
I'm curious how tomorrow will go with my ILs as we're doing a BBQ for MIL and I'm just hoping nobody even talks to us. I think of DH's family, only SIL would have seen my infertility post and I don't recall her reacting or commenting to it. Can I just hide under a rock for the next 6 months? :|
Sorry, but thank you for reading my long rant. In happier news, I picked up my hand lettering 101 book to start practicing faux calligraphy again. I realized the other day that I should probably be writing the letters slower so I'm more consistent and not sloppy. I think if I get a lot better at taking it slow it might really help my anxiety when I have it  :)

    CS/Q: nope

  • @inthewoods23 +1 for salsa without the chunks!  Have you ever made your own?  The Pioneer Woman has a great restaurant-style salsa recipe that's quick and delicious!

I totally feel you on not wanting to see extended family.
It feels like everyone in DH's family has an infant, a toddler, or is KU. It's a LOT sometimes.
  • @varimama Yay for winning! OPKs will go from faint to midrange and then just as dark as the control line. Make sure to test twice a day once they get darker so you don’t miss a surge!

@inthewoods23 Not just you! I’m the same way! The weekends are so easy to wake up! Lol. Oh man, that is tough! Very smart to not go to the party, that does seem super triggering and I get it about the special days and everything. YES on the calligraphy! Funny story (not really lol) - I got a traditional calligraphy set and a little learning book because I was going to do our wedding invitation envelopes. I did like 3 and my hand was numb lol! But check out Laura Hooper Calligraphy! She has a book that has the letters where you trace and get the hang of when to use pressure and everything! Also the watercolor pens are super cool! I put the set I have in the spoiler lol.

    Thank you @ejoseph16 and @inthewoods23!

@inthewoods23 seeing extended family like that is tough, I’m sorry!

ETA thank you @brookert615! I didn’t know that about testing twice a day so I’ll be sure to do that!

  • @brookert615 the book I have is a faux calligraphy technique. It's more writing in a cursive way and then going back and filling in the downstrokes. I write heavy handed to begin with and with the traditional calligraphy pen I have, my up and down strokes look no different. So hard! But the faux calligraphy has gotten me a lot of compliments both at work and with friends and family 🙂
