This week's weigh in I lost 2.8 bringing me to 40.6 total!
I was telling dh the other night, that I just feel... off. Honestly, this whole RPL followed by not getting ku for a year has really messed with my control-freak head! So, long story short, I decided that yoga might do me some good. I typed in "yoga for beginners" on YouTube and found a lady that has a 30 day yoga series that I'm going to do. Just finished day 2 and my muscles are sore, but I feel good.
@splashmountain great job on the weight loss! Is the yoga lady Andrienne? I used her in the last and she’s pretty good! I need to get back into it again.
AFM I’m up 1.4lbs from last week and I know it’s because I got lazy in tracking. I’m going grocery shopping today and doing some prepping so hopefully I’ll lose it all plus some this week.
@kbrown2385 yes it's Adrienne! She's awesome. The 30 days of yoga challenge is from like 2015, but if I stick with it and keep liking it like I am now, i want to do more of her series. Sorry about the weight gain this week, for me tracking is key so hopefully your prep this weekend will get you right back on track 😊
Went for a big ride this weekend. Broke 100km. Our final distance was 102km which I'm pretty stoked about. Sore and exhausted now. (About 63miles for my US friends but 100km just sounds better 😉) @Mack2342 and @splashmountain i those are nice drops @kbrown2385 always a chance to start over
Hey ladies! I've been avoiding this board because I feel like i'd just be setting myself up for a lashing. I've always been a light smoker, and I like my wine & coffee (hell, I live in Italy...) and though i've taken breaks and self-moderated at several points along the way - I have never made an all-in commitment -- also because, well, TTC is stressful and my favorite stress-remedy is a glass of white! I need some accountability, so here I am. Lash away.
SO is a smoker as well (also light) which makes quitting difficult. This cycle I am trying to set goals that are realistic, which for NOW means: rarely coffee (i.e. not every day), wine only with dinner and when out with friends (weekends), and one or two cigarettes only at night and only if I really can't do without it. It's not ideal, but cutting everything out point blank is just too stressful and I don't need more stress now.
In compensation, living in Italy means I eat really healthily -- zero sugary drinks and zero processed food. I'd really like to add in some kind of exercise. Just like to do something to get my muscles toned and blood flowing -- but definitely not lose any weight. . I was borderline underweight for years and only recently, out of nowhere magically have gained 7 pounds and am now cleanly in normal BMI territory.
I've tried the gym, but it's too much of a hassle and a time-suck. I'm trying to figure out something I can easily fit into my day, something low-impact and flexible that I can really commit to. I'm not opposed to waking up a little extra early and doing 30 minutes along with a youtube video, but perhaps a series or like something that changes up during the week, maybe a 7 day plan? Any ideas?

@kaeineurope do you live in an area where you can walk? It’s my favorite form of exercise and you can go at whatever pace you want! And I’m not one to judge others, I also LOVE my morning coffee and really enjoy wine as well, I also don’t eat nearly as healthy as you but I’m trying! I recently got a French press and now love my coffee even more!! AFM I’ve been avoiding the scale and was at my sisters this weekend so it was a lot of unhealthy delicious food. Plan to get back on track tomorrow!
@kaeineurope I’m not a coffee drinker but I drink soda a lot. We all have our faults. I was going to suggest walking too. There is a 7 minute workout app. It tells you what to do and for how long. It’s pretty good and you do as intense as you want. There are all kinds of 30 day plans on Pinterest that build muscle
@kaeineurope no judgement here as I'm sitting in my yard, drinking a glass of wine by myself. I've started buying really nice wine so that I've developed a taste for the better stuff and can't stand cheap wine anymore. This makes me not drink wine as often because it's expensive. I used to have a box of wine on my counter and would drink a glass or two a night but now I don't indulge as often. That being said, I'm also a weekend coffee and Bailey's gal. I can't stand regular coffee so I have to sweeten it with Bailey's. This keeps me from drinking coffee through the week, but I won't lie, I have indulged Monday to Friday from time to time as well. I've always found I can never stick to an exercise unless I enjoy what I'm doing. I love riding my bike and running so I do it quite often. Sometimes I like the gym but if I hate going, there's no point of putting myself through that. Find an exercise that you enjoy doing and you won't even realize you are working out.
@40momma@mack2342@char245 Thank you for the tips! I love walking, and especially hiking/trekking but I live in a city and the times i'm home from work during the week (early morning, late evening) it's not the safest to go walking through the park near my apartment as it is pretty isolated. I recently found a bike trail that goes from right under my apartment almost up to where I work so considering investing in a bike...

@kaeineurope don't worry, nobody judges you. When I was ttgp with da back in 2014, I was drinking quite a bit of wine, plus I still drink 2 cups of coffee daily and I've only been working on eating healthier since January. If walking isn't safe for you, I've been doing yoga on YouTube. I just searched beginner yoga and there are a ton of videos. They're usually under 30 minutes and low impact.
I had a stressful/emotional day today between issues with my mother, an IEP meeting and PMS, I really wanted to eat my feelings. Instead I grabbed a Powerade zero, my iPad and my yoga mat and did a yoga session. I'm feeling much better now 😊

I’ve been doing really well working out and mixing it up but my nutrition has been another story! I’ve decided to start a Keto diet on Tuesday. I’ve read it’s really good for fertility and my acupuncturist does it and told me she would help me do it too! I’ll keep you posted on how this goes...
Good job with working out @char245. GL with Keto diet.
AFM, I was down 2.8 this week. I was so excited to see the numbers on the scale! We are traveling this week and my bday is Wednesday so I’m trying really hard not to sabotage myself
@char245 good luck with keto, I like bread and fruit way too much lol
@Mack2342 great number this week! And I hope you have an amazing birthday!
My weight loss this week was 3.2 which was nice after my little 0.2 loss last week. I did have pizza and a cupcake at my nephew's birthday party last night, so I have to be on point for the rest of the week lol
@splashmountain that’s awesome! I did really good yesterday with eating until we went out for frozen custard. I did however only get a baby one and got it in a cup so I made better decisions!
I'm attempting to make homemade green chile enchilada sauce tonight. I love the green sauce from a can but the homemade recipe I found looks really good so we'll see how it goes.
@Mack2342 Frozen custard doesn't sound all that bad! Actually it sounds very delicious :-) Can you get gelato around where you live? We have that here, not ice cream, and it's healthier and sooooo yummy and fresh. Almost like a sorbet but creamier.
@splashmountain Green chile enchilada? Sounds spicy! Let us know how it went.
@char245 Good luck with the Keto diet. I've heard so much mixed press about it that I don't know what to thing, let us know how it works out for you!
Today I am working from home --- SO and I work together so every once in awhile I decide to hang back so we can have a second apart. We actually travel to/from work by scooter (like a motorcycle) and today it's been pouring rain so I stayed in with the excuse also that this is prime implantation time and I can't get cold and wet
Yesterday SO walked in on me in the bedroom listening to a guided meditation on the "Calm" app. He now officially thinks I'm crazy.
Have great Monday everyone!

@kaeineurope we used to have a gelato place and I loved it but it closed. I would stay home if I had to ride scooter in the rain lol. All our SO probably think we are crazy. My DH always just says whatever you want to do bc he doesn’t understand what we go through
@kaeineurope I have also heard a lot of mixed reviews about Keto. Here’s hoping it works!! In the meantime I have the rest of today before I start tomorrow so I’ve been eating all the carbs!! Probably not the best idea... hahaha

Dang @40momma that's one heck of a bike ride, great job!
@40momma wow! That’s awesome!
I ate all the things this weekend

@kaeineurope not riding the scooter in the rain sounds like a great plan
@char245 enjoy all the carbs! Sounds like a heavenly day 😉
