How long did it take you to get pregnant?

EDIT: Apparently my question was stupid. I’m still trying to figure this all out.  Please, no further demeaning, hateful comments are needed. Thanks.

    I was hoping for some answers from people who are trying for their second, third, etc children. I guess this is a community full of negative haters.

     My very first post I get called stupid. I hope it made you all feel good about yourselves to call me names and mock me.

    Hello!  As previously mentioned, members of this board are trying to get pregnant, so we have no idea how long it will take (wouldn't it be nice if we could). Many of us have been trying for several months or years for our first full-term pregnancies (several of us have experienced losses). Only a handful of us have been able to carry babies to full-term and are trying for subsequent pregnancies.  This poll would be more appropriate on the 1st trimester board (https://forums.thebump.com/categories/1st-trimester).

    It took 2 cycles for me to get pregnant with my first child and I am currently on cycle 5 trying for my second.

    @axelrain I didn’t see anyone call you stupid or any other names. PPs simply pointed out this was not an appropriate place to ask that question. If you had lurked for 5 minutes and read the rules of the board or checked out some of the posts you would have known that as well. Please lurk on a board when you are new next time, it will save you from making the same mistake again

    @varimama one post literally has a gif that states “you’re stupid”. I have read the rules and “new members” info. I made a mistake. Some people have been kind and helpful. Some have been hateful and bully like. I’m honestly shocked by it because the rules make it seem like this community recognizes that members may be emotional and sensitive because of the journey we are all on. I won’t post a new discussion again or comment for risk that I’ll provide the mean girls with ammunition to hurl insults.  I’ll just observe from now on.

    Okay thanks everyone for this great insight into this community’s values. I made the false assumption that this was a kinder and more supportive place than the rest of the internet. I was wrong! I’m moving on now as this is clearly not a good fit for me.

    The last thing someone needs when TTC is negativity and stress. I hope you all find peace and fertility. ✌️
