    Due Date / Weeks + Days:  12/4, 9W5D

FTM/STM/TTM+:  STM- my 8yo daughter is really coming around to the baby idea!  Still hoping everything continues to go well...

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out for sure! Kind of hoping my intuition is right and we’re having another girl, although my husband joked that if we had a boy, we could still pamper our daughter a bit more, and tell the boy to ‘man up’ 😂

Upcoming Appointments:  Wednesday we have an office appointment with an ultrasound and probably getting my NIPTs bloodwork done.  I had a dream about getting bloodwork done last night...

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc):  Still feeling morning sick a lot, constipation (I think stemming from dehydration mostly).  Smells have been bugging me more often, too.  Eating simple foods has been my best solution.  I haven’t eaten this carb heavy in a long time!

Rants/Raves:  Eating carbs is okay, but I think it causes me more bloating and more sugar crash headaches.  Not fun.   My normal morning exercise time has been so off lately, due to exhaustion and morning sickness, it’s a good thing I’m not eating too much. I miss my regular yoga 🙁

Questions:  Has anybody had more success exercising in this first trimester with some food in your tummy or without food in your tummy?  I’ve also found that I have a tendency to eat the most at dinner, and get really full quickly.  Any tricks to combat the too full schedule at the end of the day when you feel sick the rest of the time?

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured?  I haven’t had too many epic injuries, more comical incidents like “I Love Lucy”, since I’m red headed.  One time, my husband handed me a glass of wine while I sat at my desk.  I caught the bottom of the wine glass on the edge of the desk, launched it in the air (circling, the liquid stayed in the glass courtesy of physics), and then I caught the glass by the stem, causing the liquid to splash all over me.  It was epic ☝️

FTM/STM/TTM+: STM, DS is thrilled about being a big brother finally. Really hoping that things keep progressing so I can give him that experience.

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding Out, just wanting a healthy baby

Upcoming Appointments: First appt with OB is Friday 5/10, praying so hard that the remaining baby is still growing.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): Still craving carbs and candy, no morning sickness but I’ve been getting carsick which sucks. Yesterday and today my boobs haven’t been as sore as they were, not sure what’s going on but maybe I’ve just gotten used to the tenderness?

Rants/Raves: I made cupcakes with DS and pretty much had to tie my hands behind my back to not eat the batter. It looked SO good!

    Questions:

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured?

This is embarrassing: I worked as teller supervisor at a bank that had one of the massive old school vaults. It had to be opened each morning, combo like on school lockers, spinning a big wheel like handle, and then very carefully pulling the 2 ton door open and not letting it go too fast and crash thru the wall. Well I guess I got it moving too fast and to keep it from going thru the wall I grabbed the handle and put my elbow on the wall to try and stop it 🤦‍♀️ It snapped my wrist, it sounded like a wishbone cracking. I made it 21 years with no broken bones and a bank vault of all things snapped my wrist.

  • Due Date / Weeks + Days: 10w1d

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: TEAM PINK!!! We did the sneak peek test and found out yesterday we are having another girl. I am over the moon excited! I was really hoping my daughter would get to grow up with a sister. Baby is due a little over a month from my daughter’s birthday so she should be able to wear all of her sister’s clothes!

    Upcoming Appointments: 5/24

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc):

Alright. Eating all the fruit, lol!

Rants/Raves: We are going to FL this weekend and taking our daughter to Disney for the first time. Can’t wait!

    Questions:

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured?

I’ve done this twice. 🤦‍♀️ I’ve cut the everloving sh*t out of my finger slicing things on the mandolin without the protective piece. I’ve learned since then and always use it now!

  • So I realize I posted this weeks info in last week's post earlier today (with the exception of the GTKY).

    Due Date / Weeks + Days: 12/8, 9w1d

FTM/STM/TTM+:  TTM - 6 year old and 2.5 year old boys

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green:  Unsure at this time. I'd like to be team green, but I don't think I have enough patience to wait.  We found out with the last two, so we'll see.

Upcoming Appointments: My 1st appointment is scheduled for 5/14.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): Tired and nausea.   I'm learning that I can't have milk in the mornings or it increases the nausea.  I also feel like I'm not far enough along yet for the number of times I feel like I can't breathe or feel super full after only a few bites.

Rants/Raves: I can smell so many things which is throwing me off because then I feel like I can taste whatever it is am smelling.  My parents were visiting this weekend (we hadn't shared that we're expecting yet) and went out to dinner at a new Italian place, I felt like my food tasted weird because I could smell something different that was effecting my taste.   Kudos to my husband who said, "you were interested in a few different meals, would you like to trade so we can try each others too?"  So we traded meals since his didn't have the smell to it.

    Questions: None at this time.

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured?   While working as a cashier as a grocery store, I was closing the register and caught my finger where your nail and skin meet in the cash register and it made a huge gauge in my finger and was bleeding all over the counter and into the register.   It didn't help the manager was a dink and didn't believe me when I asked to go to the bathroom to clean it up.

    Due Date / Weeks + Days:  12-2/ 10W1D

FTM/STM/TTM+:  FTM (very anxious and excited!)

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: unsure right now. Think I want a girl but I’m starting to talk myself into wanting a boy lol

Upcoming Appointments: 5/20 for genetic testing and ultrasound

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): very tired, had some abdominal cramping early on but it has gotten better (think I wasn’t drinking enough water). Some morning sickness- today has been the worst so far! Acne is getting out of control.

Rants/Raves: wishing I can have big juicy hotdog

    Questions:

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured?

  • @sunshineandlemons congrats on another girl!! I always wanted a sister. Big plus she can wear her big sisters clothes too!
  • Due Date / Weeks + Days:  12-3/9w6d

    FTM/STM/TTM+: STM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out. Don't especially care which, but I'd like to be able to plan.

Upcoming Appointments: first US is in 2 days!

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): I feel like crap. Lots of nausea, although some days are definitely worse than others. Today is one of the worse ones - I've felt like puking all day despite my Zofran and already did once this morning. I'm just about to take my doxylamine and go to bed.

Rants/Raves: kind of a combo: DH is usually pretty good about alcohol-free solidarity when I'm pregnant but recently has been drinking amaretto sours 1-2 nights per week, which for some reason sound amazing right now. I ordered some amaretto syrup on Amazon (no one local carries much of a selection of coffee syrups) to make a virgin one and I'm hoping it tastes good! I'll probably have to cut it with water to get the right consistency.

    Questions: nothing really right now.

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured?

Dancing holding a tomahawk and hurting my knee? Slicing my finger with a hooked counting spatula? I feel like I've got a lot of them.

  • Due Date: 12/4 / Weeks + Days: 9w6d

    First baby for us!

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Having CVS non invasive panel done this week! Can’t wait to find out. I’ve dreamed it’s a girl but we’ve only agreed on a boy name...

Upcoming Appointments: Blood Panel this week and Next Ultrasound at 12w on 5/23

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): I’ve been soooo exhausted and always waves of nausea. Either starving or nausea. Some days are worse than others. Food aversions are real. I’ve started having more stiffness and aches and pains in my back and legs. I wish I had more energy to workout!!

@k_mama91 I’ve noticed my breasts are less tender this week as well. They were terribly tender week 5-8 but now just when i push on them.

Rants/Raves: We want to tell family this weekend on Mother’s Day but won’t have our CVS panel back til next. I’d love to have the piece of mind of those results and the gender before involving family. Didn’t quite time up with Mother’s Day when we will be with family....Ugh can’t decide what to do!

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured? Sleeping. 😂 I woke up with tendinitis from sleep on my arm wrong once.

  • Due date: 12/5, 9 weeks & 4 days

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out with the cell free DNA test, which I'm taking next week.  Ever since the day I took the pregnancy test, I've been convinced it's a girl, but we will see!

Upcoming Appointments:  5/14 for genetic testing and 5/29 for 12 week u/s

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc):  I typically wake up feeling pretty well and then progressively get more nauseated as the day goes on.  No vomiting, though.  Cutting out sugar and eating frequent high protein snacks helps, but doesn't do away with it entirely.

Rants/Raves:  I always heard pregnant women were supposed to have a healthy glow and thick, shiny hair; however, my skin is breaking out and my hair is super greasy.  Not cute.

Questions:  Did anyone else have to pay an "OB deposit" at their obgyn?  Was not expecting that (very large) bill.

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured?  I broke my foot dancing at my own wedding.

  • cpk3535cpk3535 member
@blueskychicago12 OB deposit?  What the heck is that?  Sorry for financial surprises when you’re probably prepping to save for for baby’s arrival, not paying down payments! 😛

@sunshineandlemons Congratulations!!!  I’m hoping girl, too, but just like @k_mama91, I’ll just be psyched for a healthy baby!  I’m still holding my breath a little to pass the week 10 marker with a solid ultrasound...

@moonriver_and_me I feel your stomach situation exactly!  I’m either hungry or sick.  Almost comically, I’ll eat because I’m hungry, and then feel pretty much immediately sick or stomach crampy.  It’s getting old...

@nothingbuttherain Keep us posted how your first ultrasound goes!!❤️

@allison_smith_6212 My smelling abilities have kicked in a lot over the last few days.  For me, the nastiest smells have been natural smells- our little dog for example, who only had a bath a few days ago, stunk so bad to me.

I like our little group ❤️😊!

Due Date: 12/3 10wks STM 16 mo son

Team not sure? We waited to find out with our son, but hubby wants to find out this time. I’m not sure.

Upcoming Appts: 5/9-this will be my first appointment. We moved to the UK about a year ago so I’ll be having this baby on the NHS. I’ll be meeting with a midwife on Thursday. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to stay with the midwives or not due to some medical issues.

I’m feeling okay. This past weekend nausea hit me pretty hard and I’ve been exhausted, but we’re making it through.

Rants/raves: I’ve been really craving a supermarket cupcake with all the frosting. They don’t have quite the same here as in the US 😂

GTKY: I got a concussion by hitting my head on the underside of my lab bench while teaching high schoolers. They thought it was pretty funny.
  • @liz110712 DS and I made cupcakes after school yesterday. I’m not ashamed to say I ate 2 and could’ve gone for 3 🙈
  • That sounds amazing @k_mama91! I’m jealous. I actually don’t even like frosting but I just want a giant iced cupcake 🧁
  • blueskychicago12 OB deposit? We've never had to do that.  Our first appointment we always met with an insurance rep to get an estimated bill and they always said they wouldn't bill until you've had the baby (with the exception of blood draw and ultrasounds) but appointments and delivery were always at the end.

Hi! This is my first check in because I've been a nervous wreck after suffering a loss last year. All is going well so far and at 10 weeks I'm feeling more confident. Any others out there who are anxious and afraid due to past miscarriages? Would love your input on how you cope!

Due Date / Weeks + Days: 10 weeks on the nose

FTM/STM/TTM+: second time mom, 5 yr old B/G twins at home!

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: green (I think?) We are not finding out the gender

Upcoming Appointments: 5/24 - MFM (high risk doctor) consultation and nuchal translucency.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): 24/7 nausea even with 2x daily Bonjesta. Already showing a small bump. Lots of indigestion and constipation.

Rants/Raves: I just seriously cant handle this nausea anymore. It is all day but becomes unbearable in the evening.

Questions: any other moms who delivered their first born premature? Mine were born at 25 weeks...consultation with MFM should shed more light on what precautions we should take with this less risky pregnancy being a singleton, but would love to hear from other preemie moms experiences.

    Thanks!

@liz110712 I am also an American based in the UK. So many cravings on US foods. Where about are you based? We are up towards Stansted.

    Due Date / Weeks + Days: 12/1, 10 wks 2

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: team green, if we can hold out

Upcoming Appointments: first midwife appointment on the 17th but then quickly followed by my 12 wk scan on the 21st. 2 weeks to go!

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): Symptoms seem to come and go, which is nice to have a break but not enjoying the middle of the night nausea.

Rants/Raves: since we paid for a private scan, we have gotten to see the baby bean twice already. Both times strong heartbeat and measuring right on target. So fingers crossed it stays the same for the next one!

Questions: anyone else getting random hip pains? I am not sure if it will be like this for the remainder or if it will calm down (please let it calm down)

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured? Not sure about dumbest injury but I am generally a klutz- so I more tend to break stuff when I am gesturing widely with my hands.

  • @blueskychicago12 we haven't had any OB deposits! Wow, that's crazy! Also, definitely with you on the not-glowing thing.

@liz110712 due date twin! At least for now. How are you holding up with your 16-month-old? My 17-month-old is really pushing my limits right now.

@neggert not me, but a friend had her first daughter at 23-24 weeks. She had problems with her cervix, though, and had an emergency c-section. I'm wanting to say her second daughter went to term with a cerclage. Hope your MFM gives you the info you're looking for!

Due Date / Weeks + Days: Dec 3rd. 10 weeks

    FTM/STM/TTM+: ttm! 3.5yr & almost 2yr boys.

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out.

Upcoming Appointments: May 20th - for genetics and gender blood tests.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc):

Awful. So sick still, lost 9lbs. Body is just sore.

Rants/Raves: I hate cleaning my house these days. And in my area there's a horrid ant problem. Rave: a pest salesmen just came knocking, and I made DH take the deal lol

    Questions: none.

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured?

When I was younger, fighting with my sister over a stupid pen, I had the metal clip end, and she pulled it out of my hand, and it ripped thru my hand. I'll never forget that.

  • Due Date / Weeks + Days:  12/7 9w3d

    FTM/STM/TTM+:  STM

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green:  Finding out, hubby doesn't like surprises. *shrug*

Upcoming Appointments: May 28, 12 week appointment and U/S

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc):  Still nauseous, but eating small meals/snacks frequently through the day seems to help. feeling some discomfort I assume from my uterus stretching/growing, I don't remember this from my pregnancy with my daughter, but My uterus has housed a 42 week pregnancy and had a c-section since then, so could be second pregnancy related. I wouldn't call it cramping, and it goes away, so I'm not worried.

Rants/Raves: My 2.5 year old is boycotting naps the last 2 days, which means I don't get a nap and she is super cranky from dinnertime through our bedtime routine.

    Questions: None right now

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured? I've never had stitches or broken bones, just bruises, cuts, and scrapes. I'm sure there are several instances where I've been dumb and got hurt, but the one coming to mind immediately is I was in high school and shaving my legs and legit cut a chunk out of my shin, being in a rush to shave. I had a big scab most of the summer as it healed up. I remember in high school rarely did I make it through shaving my legs without nicking the tops or backs of my knees to back of the ankle. I always had a band aid or 2 on my legs.

  • @Megz1902 I can relate to the weird uterus discomfort. It’s not really cramping but like a pulling/aching.
  • oops! i just realized i incorrectly called the non invasive genetics blood test a cvs in my intro... sorry if that confused anyone! (i blame the pregnancy brain fog)

so excited to be in this group! xo

My ultrasound for 10W with a NP happened today- it went really well!  Our daughter was able to see it, too- she was super excited to see the baby wiggling when we first spotted it on the monitor!  My due date appears to have shifted from 12/4 to 12/1 according to measurements, but I’ll believe that when I see it 😉. Also got my blood drawn for the NIPTs test, so I’m going to find out those results in about a week.

@Megz1902 and @k_mama91- it was weird, after the abdominal ultrasound was finished and I was leaving, I felt that uterus cramping feeling, too!  She didn’t even have me remove my pants, so that made no sense to me at all.  I did go away pretty quickly, and no bleeding.  Must be some stretching/adjustment happening.

    Due Date / Weeks + Days: 12/1; 10 weeks & 3 days

    FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM

    Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: finding out

Upcoming Appointments: Friday 5/10-- This will be my first appointment finally. I'm excited to make sure everything is okay and finally get to see and talk to the doctor with my million questions.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): I've been feeling a little better this week. I was very nauseous/tired weeks 5-10 but this week hasn't been as bad. Still pretty tired but not as much tummy pain. I have been struggling with finding something good to drink. Absolutely nothing sounds good. I used to be a huge diet soda addict and have no cut that to one in the morning to wake up (which is a huge cut back for me). I don't really crave it much anymore but water, juices, nothing sounds great. I've tried various flavored water too and had a while of drinking lemonade but still mehh.

Rants/Raves: See above-- nothing sounds good to drink.

    Questions:

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured? I can be pretty clumsy-- probably tripping over something or running into something. :D

  • cpk3535cpk3535 member
This is a reply to the last week’s note- @knottiee5780c47f60b305f I think the only reason I got to do my NIPTs so fast is because I go through the monster medical that is Kaiser Permanente in California.  It’s like dealing with a robo-doctor.  It’s both good and bad, some things happen quickly and smoothly, but then the whole system is very impersonal and you sometimes just get shuffled from doctor to doctor, or better yet the doc you love leaves to go to another Kaiser facility hours away.  😛
  • @nothingbuttherain Yay for being due date twins (for now ) 😉 My son is also driving me a little crazy. He seems to have one mode these days and it’s pretty intense. He’s always up to something! I think because I’m feeling so tired I don’t have quite as much patience with him as I normally do.
  • Due 12/2 10weeks

3rd baby for me and hubby 2 sons 10&8

Finding out 14 weeks 3d ultrasound

Appointment 5/17 to talk about family history
  • Is anyone else finding that your nausea is improving already?  I was nauseated most days from weeks 5-9, but now as I enter week 10, I'm feeling much better.  I'd like to be grateful, but instead I'm a little nervous because I didnt expect to feel better until closer to 12 or 14 weeks.  I'm still tired and gassy.😐
  • cpk3535cpk3535 member
@blueskychicago12 I’m feeling a little better with the nausea at week 10, but definitely still tired and bloated.  Has anybody started to feel light headed/woozy more often?  I don’t know where that’s been coming from, but I’ve had some weird episodes of stars in my eyes from standing up, even just from getting out of the passenger side of the car.  I just had my blood pressure checked yesterday, and I am normally on the low side, but not unusually low. ???
  • @cpk3535 I may have spoken too soon because I'm feeling a little sick at the moment!
I haven't been dizzy yet myself, but I was reading up on what symptoms to expect in the coming weeks, and I remember seeing that dizziness and headaches are common going in to the second trimester.  Stay hydrated!
  • @blueskychicago12 and @cpk3535 I've noticed that about my nausea as well - I've had a couple of good days here recently. The nausea is still there but more manageable. I'm kind of waiting for the pendulum to swing back the other way, though, since last time I had it until around week 16. Definitely more dizziness, though.
  • Due Date / Weeks + Days: 12/4 // 10 weeks 2 days

FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM! I’m over the moon, and so nervous!

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out! I’m convinced we’re having a girl. Either way I’m hoping for a healthy baby! 🥰

Upcoming Appointments: How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): Next appointment is 5/15. I guess my cravings are chocolate doughnuts and steak rice bowls from a restaurant called PepperJax (I live in Nebraska. If any of you have been here, you know what I’m talking about 😋). Major food aversion... eggs. I have been very nauseous and have had all day sickness. My doctor prescribed me medicine that is helping with that but makes me 10x more tired than I already am.

Rants/Raves: I’m ready to tell the world I am pregnant, but I want to get out of this tough first trimester! I’ve heard how hard the first trimester is but I didn’t realize you feel hungover all the time. Woof! Almost everyday I feel better, but I still leave work early to get sick at my own home. Makes me feel really guilty. I have told my boss, who’s wife just had a baby. He’s been very understanding! I feel so lucky.

Questions: GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured? Oh gosh. Last summer... I dropped my FIL’s shoes into the lake between the dock and the boat. I went to grab them and landed head first into a metal pole under the water. I got a concussion 🤕
  • Due Date / Weeks + Days: December 3 (10 weeks 3 days)

FTM/STM/TTM+: FTM at 34 years old! Never wanted kids, then suddenly, I did 😂

Team Finding Out/Blue/Pink/Green: Finding out next week! We had the genetic test done and the results should be back by mid-week. All of my Ramzi tests, dreams, and family are telling me it's a girl, but I'm still convinced it's a boy!

Upcoming Appointments: Just had one today ❤ The baby is measuring a little ahead but doctor doesn't want to change the due date. Heartbeat 170.

How are you feeling? (Cravings, Symptoms, Etc): I've had minimal symptoms this whole pregnancy so far, and the few I was experiencing went away this week. I've felt too good to be pregnant, so I was completely convinced the baby was gone. I saw the baby today and the first thing I said was, "it's really still in there??" and burst into tears 😂

Rants/Raves: I want to shout it from the rooftops that I'm pregnant, but I'm up for a big promotion at work soon and I'm terrified they're going to pass me over if they know. I have a great shot at becoming management at my job, but I just know they'll find an excuse not to promote me. They keep pushing back the date of when they're going to hire for it, and I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to hide it.

Questions: Is anyone else failing miserably at nutrition? 😭 I went into this convinced I was going to eat impeccably, but everything healthy makes me feel nauseous! If it's not a food that I LOVE (much of which is not the healthiest), my stomach turns at the thought of it and I can't even swallow. It makes me feel guilty that I'm not eating as good of a diet as I feel like I should be.

GTKY: What is the dumbest way you have been injured? I fell backwards off a stage and landed on my head on a concrete floor six feet below. Escaped with just a concussion!

  • @maybedaisies my symptoms started to ease up this week and I had the same reaction at my appt today too. So weird.

Another week down y’all! Time seems to be flying!
  • @maybedaisies I'm struggling to healthy, too.  I've had aversions to veggies and am craving carbs and more carbs.  Hopefully, we will feel better in the second trimester and healthy foods won't seem so revolting!
  • @cpk3535 I have been so dizzy too. I have been pretty active my whole life, so my resting heart rate is always low. My primary doctor has always told me that it’s normal for somebody with a low bpm like mine to get dizzy/ have a head rush. It was never a concern.

Did your doctor give you any tips? My appointment is next week and I’m definitely asking. It has been more intense. I’ve been so dizzy, and can’t see because I see stars, I have to hold onto something. It’s making me nervous.

@baby_love7 Your dizziness sounds even worse than mine has been!  Let me know what your doctor says- at the time of my last appointment, I wasn’t really experiencing it too often, so I didn’t ask.  I am usually a regularly active person, but my activity has taken a bit of a dive with the nausea and starry eyes.
