What does a positive pregnancy test really look like??

Yesterday morning on the top, yesterday afternoon in the middle and this morning on the bottom. I think this is really happening!

I've been meaning to post here but kept forgetting.

I was out of state during my TWW and decided to test before going out for drinks. I bought the Walgreens brand early result (pink dye) test and got a faint positive at 7 dpo. I thought it could be an evap line, but it definitely had a pink tint to it, which DH confirmed (pic in spoiler). I used the second test in the box the next day with FMU and got what looked like a positive.

When I was back home a couple days later, I tested using two FRERs and a Clear Blue rapid and got definite negatives. A blood test with my OB at 11 dpo came back negative as well. Turns out I got a false positive from the Walgreens test, which I later saw was quite common from what I read online. Just thought I'd share my experience in case it could help others.

PS: I did end up conceiving that cycle. AF still hadn't come at 17 dpo and I took a CB digital just for the hell of it and got my positive. Blood test confirmed it the following day.

Hey everyone! I’ve been on and off these boards since DS in 2009 and back for possibly round 4. Anyone see the faintest of line? I know...will test in the am but looking for validation (or told I’m crazy). Thank you!

@BBEA2006 - If you have to twist and turn the test in bright light to see a line, or need to tweak it on the internet, odds are it's probably negative. I get it, I used to pull my used tests out of the trash holding them up to the light to look for a hint of a line and, because I'm crazy, always managed to find one even if it was imaginary. Wait and try testing again later. FRER are very sensitive and will pick up doubling HCG fairly quickly and will produce a clear line.

Sorry, should have posted my current stats with it. I’m currently 5w5d with an EDD of 12/25. Those tests are not very sensitive, I didn’t get a good line on them until about 2 days later.

I'm sorry, last I checked this was the "What does a POSITIVE pregnancy test look like??" thread. Don't post tests unless you are interested in other's opinions of whether or not there is a 2nd line or if there is without a doubt, a line.

I don’t understand why you keep coming back to argue. People said they can’t see the line. Maybe it’s the quality of the picture or the screens on our phones/computers, but we can’t see it. The way I understand this thread is that it serves the purpose of allowing people to post tests and ask if they look positive. That one looked negative to the strangers on the internet. You knew you had another test later that was clearly positive, so you didn’t need to ask if that one had a faint line and you definitely didn’t need to argue with the strangers who weren’t able to see it. Congrats. Be happy for your miracle and move on.

It's such a strange hill to decide to die on. (She even deleted her last post in her BMB.) I don't think I've ever seen someone so literal about throwing a pee stick in someone's face.

Of course it's usually easier to see super squinters in person. That's just how it is. Oddly, cell phones aren't great at taking pictures of things that are super hard to see IRL. Just admit that that test is basically negative, maybe add another picture without being so weird about it, and move on. Quit acting like @inthewoods23 kicked your embryo and your puppy.

@csiigusz as long as the picture is from within the time frame indicated on the test I’d say that’s positive!

@kiki75 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s my 9DPO test that I swear has the faintest shadow on it, but DH says is stark white. I was using it to try to convince myself that there’s more of a faint shadow today than yesterday...
