Trying to Get Pregnant

    R/R: saw my dr yesterday * TW LC*
    He believes my long cycles and light flow are due to the fact I’m still breastfeeding my 2 year old. Basically until we’ve weaned he’s against any further treatment even if we are unsuccessful after a year of trying. I was a little bummed by this and I’ve gotten some advice from other friends to seek at least some blood tests if we are trying for 6mo without success so I think I’ll follow up with my primary in September and see if he can do the blood tests or refer me to someone who can (assuming we aren’t successful by then). My OB did at least tell me that cycle length and light flow don’t mean that I’m not ovulating so he recommended OPKs but said temping will just drive me crazy with breastfeeding so not to do that.

    @ejoseph16 hope the rest of the year goes by quickly! What a pain moving everything out though. Hope the renovations are nice

  • @emeraldduchess Tazo makes a Darjeeling tea! I think. I saw it in our office break room. Question of course is how easy is it to find in stores?

    @ejoseph16 sorry about the students! I can hardly deal with people day to day at times. I don't think I could handle the attitude of students!

    @MrsVP614 sorry for CD1, but have fun with your college besties!

    WAYDTGKU: BCP, then IVF meds

    R/R: I was definitely not expecting to still have AF at CD5 after being on BC for 18 days, but at least it is light. I guess it probably takes a few months to get both shorter and lighter periods. I just can't be bleeding come Monday for the SHG. In other fun news I will probably be driving to a customer location to fix an issue. The drive there is like 2 hours so that'll end up being most of my day. Makes Friday come much faster!

    @emeraldduchess - I get very into different kinds of tea too! I think a regular grocery store should have some brand of Darjeeling, mine always seems to have lots of different black teas. I think that brand Twinings makes one and that's pretty common I think?
    @varimama - sorry your doctor's appt wasn't totally satisfying but good that you have a plan!
    @ejoseph16 - hope the next 2 weeks go fast!!
    @MrsVP614 - sorry about day 1. Have fun shopping with your mom!

    R/R: Trying not to overanalyze but I think I screwed myself by experimenting this month with going off Clomid. (Was on for 2 cycles because of generally long cycles/late ovulation but the month before I started I actually ovulated earlier than usual, so this month I tried going without to see if it would happen on its own...esp because I guess there's a limit to how many months you can take it.) The past three days I've done opk's and they've all been low/negative....generally there have been some random high days if I'm going to O around CD 19...like some "activity" at least. I feel like it's going to be another cycle where I O at like day 28 if at all. :(

     CS/Q:I think I might be moving over to the TWW tomorrow. This was a super short follicular phase if I'm right. (I've had a hard time in the past week uploading photos from mobile. I'll post my chart later.)

  • @emeraldduchess what does the tea taste like? is it herbal or fruity? never heard of it! But always want to try something new!

    @varimama that is frustrating but at least you have answers!

    @spacemountaineer sorry to hear about your cramps! That's awful!

Gingerberry by GT's Kombucha, sooo yummy! Most of them taste like dirt to me but this one is good! Like a bubbly iced tea! Helps my bloating and tummy sooo much.

     CS/Q: Nothing today!

    @emeraldduchess Sometimes you just have to prioritize the things you love!
    @varimama Do you think temping would drive you crazy? Your doctor can give you suggestions about tracking, but they are not you, only you can decide.
    @ejoseph16 I hope the days go by quick!
    @MrsVP614 Sorry about CD 1.
    @inthewoods23 I hope AF gets out of here by Monday!
    @whitealbum29 I hope you ovulate soon!
    @samvsimpson I like the Watermelon Wonder flavor, sometimes I mix it with a lime carbonated water.

    R/R: I haven't really felt like I had a whole lot to contribute to this thread this week so I haven't really been posting.

    CS/Q: Not really a question or CS, just that I have a feeling O is today. My temp rose a bit this morning, it's my typical O time, my cm is not really fertile anymore and I had O pain this morning. If so we have no timing except tonight (hopefully). I guess I will just wait and see.

    R/R: Joke's on me. Remember when I said I love CDs 7-11 because there is never any CRAZY? Well, it looks like I spoke too soon. GAH! My temp this morning was equivalent to my usual post O temp from other months. I did have EWCM yesterday (CD 9) and watery (CD 8), but no Peak reading on my advanced OPK. I had slight twinges on my left side, but nothing compared to my normal O pain I get every month. We did HIO on CD 8 because I noticed watery CM, but not last night. The rest of my R/R will go in spoiler due to **TW Loss**.

    My last day of bleeding from my CP was CD 5. I normally O between CD 15-17. My pre O temps have been upper 97s which is unusually high for me and this morning my temp jumped to 98.18 which is a normal post O temp for me. Is it possible I actually O'd on CD 9? WTF, that's so early if it's true. Or are my hormones still trying to settle down post CP? I'll obviously keep on temping and HIO until I get my cross hairs. Any insight would be appreciated!

    CS/Q: Chart in spoiler.

  • @emeraldduchess That meme made me laugh so hard! I always hated that "where do you see yourself in 5 years?" question at interviews. Like, WTF, who actually knows the answer to that?

    @varimama Sorry your OB appointment didn't go as planned, but at least you have more clarity on why your cycles are longer/lighter.

    @ejoseph16 WAHOO for 16 more days left! Hang in there :)

    @inthewoods23 I don't know much about BCP AF bleeding, but I hope it finishes by the time you have your SHG so you don't need to delay it. FX for you!

    @whitealbum29 I'm having a weird cycle too, but in my normal cycles where I O between CD 15-17, I generally have some activity about 72 hours before O. So I don't think you're far off at all with a CD 19 O and being on CD 15.

    @spacemountaineer I'm so sorry about your O cramps! This happened to me two cycles ago. I was basically bed ridden the whole day I was ovulating. Heating pad and all! I thought I even had a cyst rupture. I hope you're on the mend!

    @samvsimpson Have fun in Rome! :)

    @MrsVP614 I'm sorry about CD 1 :(

    @m6agua FX O will be tomorrow and you can get in one last HIO session!

    @m6agua yea I have pretty much ruled out temping anyways bc my wake up time is anywhere from 2am to 5am and it’s never consistent. I was feeling guilty about not doing it though so now I feel a little better for not trying harder at it. If you did O today tonight is still great timing!

     @inthewoods23 hope your day went fast!

    @whitealbum29 I’m sorry you feel like you screwed up experimenting this cycle, there was no way for you to know unless you tried though. I hope it still ends up working out anyways

     @samvsimpson what is kombucha? I feel like I’m seeing it around now but I’ve never heard of it like before 6 months ago

    @puppylove8910 sorry your calm days are crazy this month, hope it levels out for you quickly

     @spacemountaineer sorry about the cramps, good luck at TWW

  • @madcouplewithabox thanks, girl. If you would’ve tagged me and said that a week ago I’d probably be sobbing right now. Lol. Thankfully my hormones have balanced back out and I’m not crying all the time, so now it’s rainbow baby time!!!

    I could just tag everyone, but ugh. After my complaining session on here this morning, I had an actual 3rd grade fist fight in my classroom today. Like one boy pinned another up against the wall, punching him in his face. 😩🤦🏼‍♀️ At least they’re both suspended? Silver lining.
  • @varimama it's a fermented tea, it's naturally bubbly that's full of probiotics. GT's is one of the few that has no added sugars which I like  but is still refreshing but not sweet.  I'm super picky but highly recommend! If you like sweet Guava Goddess is good but Gingerberry is my fav!

    @m6agua omg! that sounds sooo good! Definitely trying that!

    @inthewoods23 hahaha DH would never, I would... I'll try but.. he's a germaphobe and well airplane bathrooms... you know 😫

    @puppylove8910 Thank you!!
  • @ejoseph16 wow...third grade fist fight? I am so sorry you're dealing with stuff like that!  Stay strong...you're almost there!

    @MrsVP614 sorry about CD1. Even when you're expecting it, it still sucks. :(  Have fun with your college friends!

    @inthewoods23 hope AF gets the heck outta town ASAP.  That's so frustrating.

    @whitealbum29 I did find some Darjeeling (Twinings) at the grocery store near me.  Have you ever tried Harney & Sons teas? They have some really great varieties!  I just tried their Florence tea and it tastes kind of like Nutella! I'm sorry for the confusion around O. :(

    @spacemountaineer do you usually get really bad O pain?  Ouch.

    @samvsimpson Darjeeling is a black tea from India.  I can't really describe the flavor, maybe slightly sweet.  Have a safe flight to Rome!

    @m6agua FX for good timing!

    @puppylove8910 that seems like a really early O.  Who knows WTF our bodies are thinking sometimes?

    @varimama sorry your OB appointment was a bit frustrating.  If you're looking for a good OPK, I really like Pregmate.
