WTO Weekend 5/4-5/5

Re: WTO Weekend 5/4-5/5

  • Good morning, ladies! Happy weekend!

    Month/Cycle: 10/9 (4th cycle AL)

    CD: 2

WAYDTGKU: Prenatal vitamins, Fertility Friend, temping, OPKs, fertility tea. First RE appointment on the 23.

R/R: It's the weekend AND we might actually see the sun today! Woohoo! Still very chilly here, but I'll take it. It's CD2 so some self-care is in order today. I'm thinking quality time with a book and some new nail polish after I do some tidying up this morning.

    CS/Q: Lovely swan-dive this morning.

  • Month/Cycle: 5/1 AL

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: benched; BBT and OPK to figure out my body again AL

R/R: doctors appointment went really well yesterday! She was enthusiastic about us TTC again, and soon. She only wants us benched this month, which naturally put us both in a better mood! I went shopping for summer clothes... $200 later and I feel pretty. 🤣😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Rant: yesterday I was off of work all day for the doctor. My teammate texted me at 4:30 to let me know my sub said she would not sub for us the rest of the school year, that’s how bad the kids were. Lady... you signed up to sub in a 3rd grade classroom with 19 days of school left. I don’t even like my students right now. Ugh. People. Luckily my teammate and I have a good sense of humor and neither of us plan on taking any more days off.

CS/Q: nothing to see. Waiting for this bleeding to stop so my body can resume normal life, but here we are.
  • @emeraldduchess a book and nail polish sounds lovely! Self care is so vital through this process. Enjoy!

WAYDTGKU: HIO for the next couple of days while DH and I are together and hoping for an early O

    R/R: Rain! Ugh

    CS/Q:

@emeraldduchess sounds like you have a great day planned! Enjoy treating yourself!

@ejoseph16 I’m glad your doctors appointment went well! My MIL teaches 3rd grade too, god bless you both!

    CD: 5

WAYDTGKU: Acupuncture 1x/week, BBT, CM tracking, HIO two days on, one day off in FW, PNV and Pre Seed

R/R: I had a 90 min massage yesterday afternoon which did wonders for me. Happy it's the weekend although the weather isn't that great.  :(

CS/Q: I'll start adding my temps to FF on CD 7. I like giving myself a week off from it in the beginning of my cycle.

  • Hi everyone! I just intro’d in the Newbie thread. Hope it’s ok if I jump in here! Looking forward to being part of the group!

    Month/Cycle: 2

    CD: 4

WAYDTGKU: temping, ovulation tests, fertility monitor, checking CM, sex...

R/R: Glad my period is almost over and ready to get started!

CS/Q: I am the worst about taking my temp. I always forget and feel like it skews my results on FF every month. Am I the only one with this problem? Any tips?
  • @emeraldduchess enjoy your self-care!

@ejoseph16 I feel like, if you're working as a substitute, you can't complain on the class you get because you're only there temporarily. Wasn't this only one day too?

@bows22 get it girl! Hope O comes at a good time!

    @puppylove8910 a massage sounds wonderful 🙂

    Month/Cycle: 23

CD: 25 (maybe 1, on BC AF always showed on the 3rd day of nonactive pills so this may get updated later)

    WAYDTGKU: WFAF, PNV, vitamin D

R/R: everyone else is complaining about rain but for us today it will be around 65 and NOT rainy. Gonna be trashing everything we can in the dumpster today. I hope we finish this weekend that so we can tell the contractor to get it off our driveway. Soon after they'll start building the new deck 🙂

  • @ejoseph16 I am in the elementary school trenches right now, too. 5 and a half weeks to go, we are all losing our damn minds! 🤣But seriously, what did that sub think was going to happen at this point in the year?
Glad you got to treat yourself to some new summer clothes!

@inthewoods23 hope you can take a break from clearing things out and enjoy the sunshine!

    @therealbitts welcome!

@puppylove8910 glad you enjoyed your massage. Sounds like it was exactly what you needed. :)

@bows22 good luck! FX for early O!!

    @puppylove8910 I’m glad you treated yourself to a massage❤️

@therealbitts do you have an iPhone? Or maybe this is an option on other phones too but I changed the name of my alarm to say “temp” to remind me to do it

@inthewoods23 glad your weather is cooperating! how long will it take them to build the deck?
  • @emeraldduchess seriously! We have 19 days of school left. We just finished state testing on Thursday. Come on now. I think people forget that these kids are 8 or 9 years old.

@inthewoods23 only one day! She accepted the job at 7am. Up until then I was expecting to have a title 1 tutor or my principal, so I gave the kids busy work so that they didn’t have to do too much. It was an easy day! I just don’t get it. Some people need to just step away from the job at this point.
  • @bows22 FX for an early O!!

@inthewoods23 Enjoy the non rainy day you're having! And it sounds like your deck demo is moving right along. You should do before and after pics!

  • @emeraldduchess - I'm with you on the sun! New England weather had been sooo depressing lately, it seriously started affecting my mental health this week! So many people in my neighborhood are out walking around to take advantage of it for however long it

@ejoseph16 - that's great about the dr's appt! And ridiculous about the sub.

@puppylove8910 - 90 min massage sounds amazing! Glad you are taking care of yourself!

@therealbitts - Welcome! Personally temping made me nuts so I've stopped for the past few cycles...I second the alarm idea tho with "temp" as the label!

    Month/Cycle: 9/9

    CD: 10

WAYDTGKU: eod, cm, opk's prenatals, evening primrose oil, ovia app, preseed

R/R: Actually got to HIO last night after we went to SO's work party! I don't think I'm in FW yet but we need to commit to EOD and not pull the "too tired" card too often. Also going to visit a town outside our city that we might be interested in moving to at some point tomorrow, to explore.

    CS/Q: nope
  • @therealbitts hi and welcome! I love temping honestly, but you have to be consistent with it. I have a Fitbit, and I set a silent alarm on my Fitbit every morning so it doesn’t wake up MH and I have a BBT thermometer that beeps quietly for the same purpose. MH is a light sleeper, so I have to be really quiet so it doesn’t wake him up. Good luck!
  • Hi ladies! I'm new here too, and just introduced myself on the newbie board.

@ejoseph16 , my poor husband. I have a loud alarm and my thermometer beeps pretty audibly. But he hasn't complained yet! You're sweet to be so thoughtful of his sleep.

@whitealbum29, I'm with you on not pulling the "too tired" card. BTTC, we were bad about both getting too busy or tired and going long stretches without any "activity". TTC has actually helped motivate us to stay connected that way. I guess it's like any habit that has to be developed!

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU: opk, bbt, cm, pnv

R/R: Rough weekend for me in terms of just feeling disappointed by a lot of other things in life. But today I'm hanging out with a couple of friends, going to church later with them and getting drinks etc. It should be a nice, uplifting day.

CS/Q: Not sure if this goes here, but I'm stressing about taking the right PNVs. I know I should probably ask my doctor, but i work at a hospital, and it doesn't seem like most drs have a strong opinion on this. Researching online paints a very different picture, though. *Sigh* This is definitely a case of me trying to control what I can in this situation. Otherwise, I'm getting into my FW, so I may be moving boards soon.
  • @shoogapoff when my RE told me to make sure I take a PNV she said to take whichever I’d like but did say many like the Smarty Pants prenatal. I believe the main thing is to make sure you’re getting enough folic acid. Doesn’t matter if it’s a cheap $8 bottle or $30 bottle.

  • @shoogapoff - Welcome! I agree with @inthewoods23 , my doctor said it can be anything that has enough folic acid, even just a women's multivitamin that doesn't say prenatal on it. That's really the most important thing that they're for. I think people might sometimes have bad reactions to vitamins, like they make some people nauseous if you take them on an empty stomach, but I don't think that really has to do with quality.

    WAYDTGKU: Cycle Track and  OPK

R/R: Annoyed because I had a last minute work trip that took me away for 48hrs and not sure if I missed my surge. It's my first month off the pill so just no idea what I'm working with. I generally have longer 33-37 day cycles when i'm not not the pill so fingers crossed I didn't!

CS/Q: Nothing, just new and excited,  nervous and happy to have a community of ladies to chat with!
  • @samvsimpson did you use an OPK at all? Even if your cycle ends up being 33 days, with today being CD13, I highly doubt you've O'ed as that would mean a 20 day LP and I'd say that's basically unheard of. I'd also recommend introing in the latest Newbie thread so we can get to know you a little more 🙂

@samvsimpson - Hello & welcome! I'm doubtful that you missed your LH either. I typically have a 28-30 day cycle and usually have positive opks between CDs 13-15. On the two cycles where they shot up to 34-35 days (shortly after going off BCP), the first cycle I got a positive opk on CD 15, the other cycle it was on CD 21.  Fx not the case. I hope your work trip went smoothly.
  • @spacemountaineer @inthewoods23 Thanks for  the reassurance ladies! I started using OPKs this week and feeling more in control already!
