NT scan went very well this morning. Baby is measuring right on track at 12 and 1/2 weeks. I’ll be 13 weeks tomorrow. Heart rate was 172.
I went to the lab to get blood work done for the sequential screen and then came back up to the office for my pretty uneventful check up with the midwife. I go back for my next check up on May 31. I also scheduled the anatomy scan for June 7th! It will be the day before my and H’s 6 year wedding anniversary.

I had my NT scan and regular appointment today. My NT scan was normal and they didn't find any evidence of a SCH. So they have both healed. I'm so relieved and excited about that. I go back May 29th for another scan and appointment. I scheduled my AS for June 14th.
Meh. Had an appointment today. Urine test. VERY quick ultrasound just for heartbeat and they had to reculture me. Pretty much it. Next week I go back for blood work and they said they'll do sono again for heartbeat so there's that
NT scan wasn’t fun...I got an award for the most uncooperative baby of all time. Would only hang out on his head and stomach. I rolled around, jumped, danced, and he just kept going back to his handstand position 😑 So stubborn and now my abdomen hurts from being pressed on for 40 minutes. But results were good, which i knew since I got the NIPT test.
He he did kick his legs at one point when we roused him from his nap and it was insane!!! Such a powerful little dude 🥰 The tech said my placenta was anterior so I likely wouldn’t feel him till later than most...and apparently with this guy’s kicks it may not be a terrible thing hehe
I had my initial intake appt today with just bloodwork and questioning. They never received my files from my IVF clinic which is annoying so they didn’t have a lot of information and I had to talk the nurse through everything we’ve done the last 9 months 🙃. I did find out they’ll be considering me high risk for now given my history and the fact I was induced for hypertension with my son (at 39+5, so not early or anything). I think it was caused from stress from the version I had since he was breech, but as a precaution I have to keep taking baby aspirin. I totally forgot to ask when they recommend stopping the progesterone suppositories. I was planning to start tapering next week at 11 weeks since it freaks me out to stop cold turkey. There seems to be so many different opinions on this! Anyways, I’ll receive a call from Maternal Fetal Medicine at my hospital on Monday to schedule my NT scan and NIPT bloodwork hopefully for the week of May 13. My anatomy scan is scheduled for July 8th, so that’s exciting!
Had my NT Scan and genetic counseling appointment at MFM yesterday at 13w6d. Everything went well. Found out my placenta is posterior so I’m excited to think the faint little tickles I’ve been feeling down south the last couple of days might actually be the baby and not gas... (This is my 5th pregnancy so I know what quickening feels like.) Had blood work done for NIPT. Can’t wait to see who this little person is! I’ve had a strong feeling with my other pregnancies and was right on but this time I got nothing. Lol. Next appointment is with my regular OB next Wednesday.
@pintobean77 This is my 6th pregnancy and I have had an anterior placenta with the last 3 and with the last 2 I have felt flutters that I was for sure wasn't gas by 13 weeks. So it is entirely possible. I think once you have so many pregnancies, you just know what those movements feel like. It's so exciting for us to be getting to the point of feeling movement. I suspect there will be lots of us feeling early movement just because of the amount of us being 3rdTM+ on this board.
@emeraldcity1214 aww! I wish I knew the difference! I’m a FTM and my OB said I had anterior placenta and to not be worried if I didn’t feel movement at the same time as other people. I hope I feel the baby sooner than later 🤗
@mvc003 movement is my absolute favorite part of pregnancy. The best way to get the baby moving so you can feel it (obviously this will be for when the baby gets bigger and other FTM are feeling movement) is to drink a big glass of orange juice and lay still on the couch afterwards with no distractions. You should feel something after that.
@rogro118 I tapered the progesterone suppositories going down one per week (started at 3/day, then a week of 2/day, then a week of 1/day). I'm doing well so far — I've been about a week completely off all pregnancy meds at this point. Good luck to you as well!
@emeraldcity1214@Pintobean77 it's so nice to have women with experience here on the board! I can't wait to feel movement! I have no idea where my placenta is positioned (I guess that will be something I find out at the anatomy scan? I don't think that's for another month or so) but I know that my uterus is tilted back ... not sure if that makes any difference. Thank you both for sharing your knowledge!
I had my nuchal scan yesterday and everything looked great! I’m so relieved. The bloodwork had come back positive so I was pretty nervous, but it was all good.
The babe was super lazy and wouldn’t move for them. So they had me coughing and flipping around. Then, when it woke up, it wouldn’t sit still for a measurement. My abdomen is so sore today from such a long scan!
I’m so excited! I’m 12 weeks today and now that we’ve seen that everything is good, we’re going to start telling people!!!
My naturopath said I can stop using progesterone cream now so I'm just finishing my last bottle. Had a midwife appointment and heard baby's heartbeat on the Doppler! So I guess that's all we get until the 20 week ultrasound!
Had my NT scan and genetic testing blood work done today. Everything is looking good!! Measuring slightly big but my EDD remains the same. Baby wasn't cooperating for the scan so I had to drink the glucose drink and take a walk and then the got what they needed...baby was hopping then!! I'm glad because last week's appointment was a little disappointing, they weren't giving me the reassurances that everything was looking good that I needed. For instance, I asked about the heart rate as all you ladies seem to know yours, and the tech only marked down "+" -- that there was a heartbeat-- and they really couldn't tell me what it was exactly. Anyway, all good and next stop is 16 weeks. Woo-hoo!
My first OB app. was May 1st. She confirmed with me my Thyroid numbers were low and she put me on medication right away. I've been feeling better now that I've been taking them. I'm waiting to be called in for an ultrasound to see if my baby's eyes are developing as they should (check Group Check in for story). I got a chance to see the baby and hear the heart beat during my app. as well my OB has these mini portable ultrasounds and I was able to see him/her kicking around and punching in my womb. Everything else seems great and she thinks I may be a week ahead. My next OB app is May 28th? I think lol
@christalfung May I ask how low your thyroid numbers were and what she put you on? My bloodwork came back with very low tsh (.02), but normal FT4. I’ve been on levothyroxine to lower it since September and obviously it’s done too good of a job, but they do not want to change my dosage. I’m confused and don’t know what to think. I’m concerned that it is so low, but my endo said that sometimes it drops during the end if first tri (I’m 11 weeks tomorrow).

I should probably schedule my anatomy scan, but they didn't ask me about it. I assume they will when I go for my 16w appointment on 5/20.
