    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 7/15, 30w

Baby is the size of a(n): zucchini

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): pink

    Upcoming Appointments: next week

How are you feeling?: wack ass dreams make it hard to sleep, but otherwise feeling good!

Rants/Raves:  despite some chaos in our lives, DH and I took some time to relax and enjoy each other this weekend. It was much needed!

    Questions:

GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family? As a kid, my sister and I always made breakfast for the celebrating parent (with the non-celebrating parent's help). Now that I'll be a mom for thr first time, I'm trying to decide how to celebrate, if at all.

Baby is the size of a(n): motorcycle helmet

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): pink 🎀

Upcoming Appointments: Friday. 3d/4d ultrasound/growth scan

How are you feeling?: pregnant.... finally  back aches, don’t want to bend over to pick things up, and extremely constipated

Rants/Raves:  I just want my husband to do the dishes for once.... that’s all 🤣

    Questions:

GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family? We always spent mother’s day/ Father’s Day with the opposite parent as kids. My parents are divorced. But now apparently Mother’s Day is all about my MIL. I’m apparently not even a mom when it comes to Mother’s Day. LOL

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: July 13th/ 30+2

Baby is the size of a(n): zucchini

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): pink

    Upcoming Appointments: two weeks

How are you feeling?: still mostly good, but definitely moving slower these days

Rants/Raves:  I usually don’t mind Mondays too much, but it’s gloomy and gross out today and I just want to lay in bed all day!

    Questions:

GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family? Nothing big, usually just do lunch or dinner with everyone. This year I’ve decided I don’t want to get out of bed on mother’s day, so celebrating with my in laws on Friday and my mom on Saturday.

Baby is the size of a(n): acorn squash (But for 30w tomorrow says zucchini?  How is that bigger? Lol)

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue

Upcoming Appointments: growth scan this afternoon

How are you feeling?: Tired and achy. Baby has seemed quiet this weekend. I'm thinking he is less active when I am more active (like taking long walks on the weekend or cleaning the house). Trying not to worry because I did this last week and ended up in L&D for monitoring and everything was fine. It's messing with my anxiety though.

Rants/Raves: Tired of being so stressed out :( It is really wearing me thin. Hoping some things get resolved soon.

    Questions:

GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family? We used to wear roses to church on Mother's Day. Red if your mother is living, white if she died. These days it's a Facebook post and a card if I can remember :D

  • cindlercindler member
@quinniebear I was totally there with you a week or two ago with stressing about movement.  I felt her, but convinced myself that I didn't feel her as much.  It was torture trying to decide whether to go to the Dr. or not.  I ultimately decided to wait it out and, sure enough, she picked up movement the next day.

Not saying wait it out is the best option, more commiserating with you because I know exactly how much that sucks!  Trust your gut and if you end up in L&D again, it's because that was the best course for you!
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 7/13 30 weeks 3 days

Baby is the size of a(n): zucchini

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out):Blue

Upcoming Appointments: Waiting in the dr office right now😊

How are you feeling?:  A little tired and my veins have been bothering me a little, but can't complain!

Rants/Raves: Just thankful for an easy, healthy pregnancy.  My sister in law is suffering with hyperemesis graviderum and isn't due until October. She's constantly sick and in and out of the hospital 😢 She says she's never having anymore (this is her first) and I can't blame her! Just wish I could help her out!

    Questions:

GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family? We are a very non-traditional family lol! I think my sisters and I are going together to get my Mom a weeping cherry tree this year, at my Dad's suggestion. Probably just get my mil some flowers. We sometimes go mini golfing or boating on fathers day.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days:Baby is the size of a(n): 7/16; 29+6
Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Pink
Upcoming Appointments: Nothing until the end of the month
How are you feeling?: Still really good overall. Definitely feeling "bigger" and I feel like I'm moving around a lot more like a pregnant lady.
Rants/Raves: DH's family is throwing me a baby shower on Saturday and I'm really excited. I'm hoping it'll make me feel a lot more ready for baby. Everyone keeps asking me if I have the nursery/everything all done and I just laugh - I'm not even close. But I do feel like we're starting to make progress on all of the around the house odds and ends we need to finish before baby gets here. On the rant end, we did our hospital tour last week and I think it solidified that DH is going to have a really tough time with the hospital/delivery part. Kind of a bummer but I also feel good that I have realistic expectations at least.
    Questions:
GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family? My family is pretty low key about both. We did the whole "breakfast in bed" thing when we were little and now it's normally a brunch or something and then flowers/cards. DH's family makes a bigger deal out of both (which means we have to go up and see his grandma, etc.).
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 30 weeks, 6 days / Due July 10th

Baby is the size of a(n): platypus with no tail

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): pink

Upcoming Appointments: May 17th - in my 2 weeks duration

How are you feeling?: mostly good minus the uncomfortability and constant Braxton Hicks

Rants/Raves: rant,  annoyed with people that feel the need to brag about their great situation (or act like they know everything) when they know I’m struggling in that particular area 😣

Rave, we enjoyed a nice beach day as a family yesterday and it was much needed!

    Questions: none

GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family?

No traditions here! We’ll probably just take it easy (bad weather forecast all weekend) and maybe do a family dinner.

@mamahmh2 I am annoyed for you on people who brag about their great situation when they know you're struggling.  Hang in there!  Baby girl will be making her entry before you know it!
  • @cindler hugs, thank you ♥️ Rain doesn’t last forever and we have a great little bit of sunshine on the way, for sure ☀️

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 31+0, July 9

Baby is the size of a(n): small claw otter

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): pink

Upcoming Appointments: next week for check-in & growth/just for fun ultrasound. Excited to see her!

How are you feeling?: My sciatica and SPD pain are more consistent/frequent, but not necessarily worse I guess. More generally uncomfortable, but not in a specific way. Still feeling pretty good I think!

Rants/Raves:  Pretty much all rave over here this week: the renovations on our house are progressing faster than I thought; I LOVE how the house is looking; we had a fun weekend in SC for a wedding this past weekend; and my baby shower is Saturday! 💖

Questions: I don't think I've had any Braxton Hicks. Or I guess, if I have I don't know it. Is NOT having them normal? Seems like everyone else is...

GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family?

We did breakfast in bed when we were kids like a lot of y'all. We don't have huge traditions now though. We're planning on cooking brunch for them Sunday am this year 🤷

  • @acgx I didn’t have any, or at least any that I noticed with my first pregnancy. My dr said it’s far more common to notice them in subsequent pregnancies.

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 31 weeks!
Baby is the size of a(n): feral mongoose (at least that's what it feels like)

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out):green
Upcoming Appointments: Acupuncture tomorrow, group next week
How are you feeling?: huge and mostly uncomfortable - unsure how I'm still 2 months out from baby eviction 😂
Rants/Raves:  The weather has just turned AMAZING all the sudden - the house is still half in boxes, but tomatoes are in the ground!

I wish moving around was easier. I had to bail on the zoo with DD and H last week because I just couldn't hack it. Margarets also been pretty challenging, which combined with my physical state hasn't necessarily brought out my best parenting, so most nights I go to bed feeling pretty guilty about that.

    Questions: Nada
GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family? We usually did breakfast in bed and maybe a fun activity. This year I know Kevin has a massage scheduled for me then we'll go up to my parents house for ribs - it should be nice.

I love that most traditions revolve around breakfast or brunch! I hope to start a new tradition of SLEEPING IN!!!

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 30 weeks today! EDD 7/16

Baby is the size of a(n): slinky dog (LOL)

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue, and I'm getting anxious that the new royal baby hasn't been named yet because if they pick a name off our already short list, I'm going to be SO MAD

Upcoming Appointments: OB appt yesterday, ultrasound today. Baby boy has not been cooperating since the 20 week scan when he was too active to get good enough pics of his heart. Then again at 24 weeks he kept his fist clenched over his chest, but today he was looser and they probably finally got pics of his heart and his hand! Bracing myself for a stubborn little mini-me :)

How are you feeling?: now that I know he is flipped upside the "pressure" I've been feeling in the bottom of my uterus makes sense. Discomfort when bending over (thank goodness for ballet deep pliés!) and my arm is sore from my TDaP vaccine, but I'm glad I got it.

Rants/Raves:  already. over. having. to. pee. every. time. I. stand. up.

Questions: Wondering if any family will give us pushback if we ask them to get their TDaP vaccines as well. We have a lot of teachers and small kids in the family and I'm just so worried about how easy it is to transmit whooping cough!

GTKY: What mother's day/father's day traditions do you have in your family? Honestly, nothing really comes to mind. My parents just always liked going out to breakfast/brunch. I'm looking forward to starting my own traditions :)
