How are you feeling?:

Rants/Raves:

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

Re: Group 1 Check In (7/1-7/8) w/o 5/6

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 32+0

Baby is the size of a(n): No idea...I'll have to check later:)

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Pink

Upcoming Appointments: Thursday for OB and to finalize our RCS date.

How are you feeling?: OK. Super nauseous and exhausted but ok. Being off work has made such a huge difference in so many ways!

Rants/Raves:  Got to see my whole family yesterday. I haven't seen everyone since DD was a few months old. I have a large family on my mom's side and we are all very close so it was so nice to see everyone together. DD had such a great time playing with her cousins (they are almost all boys and DD had a blast chasing them around).

    Questions:

GTKY: Before baby: Get our house done. Not at all realistic but I would happily pay someone a truck load of cash if they could have our house completely finished in the next 2 months.

After baby: Have access to our own amusement/water park where there are trained people who look out for DD and her friends while they run around having fun and where I can be with baby without fear of other people's germs, sunburns, overheating, etc. Not realistic but my dream none the less!

Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 32 weeks!

Baby is the size of a(n): Bento Box

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Pink

    Upcoming Appointments: Check-in Thursday

How are you feeling?: Tired!  Hadn't felt any more exhausted than normal since first trimester until this weekend, when the fatigue hit me like a ton of bricks and hasn't lifted.

Rants/Raves:  My mom is coming this week.  My mother and I don't always get along, and she can be . . . tiresome . . ., but at least its someone else here after a month and half alone in my new city with limited time and ability to make new friends at 6-7+ months preggo.  And maybe she can help me with all the baby prep stuff that's been overwhelming me.  Annoying that she's coming right in the middle of what will be a busy work week, though.   I'm really a pit stop on her way out West to a baby shower this weekend for my SIL (brother's wife) who is due in late July.  H's arrival is still 2 weeks out.

    Questions: Not this week.

GTKY: Before baby: Hire a personal assistant to buy all of the gear and do everything else we need to do to prep for baby.  Bonus if they stick around to help when baby arrives

After baby: I mean, if we're really unlimited here, quitting my job, buying homes in St. John, Virgin Islands and Vail, and putting away enough money that we could pay for everything we'd ever want without having to work again would be a nice start.  But more realistically, we need to sell two houses in our old state buy a new one in the new city in the next 10 months.

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 31 weeks! Due 7/8 will have a scheduled c section 6/24 if they aren't here yet. Thanks

Baby is the size of a(n): baseball glove

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): twin boys

    Upcoming Appointments: nothing this week!

How are you feeling?: I have been feeling pretty good. A lot of nesting!

Rants/Raves:  we put the cribs together this weekend so everything is starting to feel more real

Questions: not that I can think of!

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

I would buy my absolute dream home before they were here. We plan on doing so within the next year or so but I really am not looking forward to moving with a 4 year old and Two 1 year olds.

The rest of the money I would invest so that when they are older they never have to struggle or worry. I would pay any amount to make sure none of my boys had any worries in the world

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue

    Upcoming Appointments: Thursday

    How are you feeling?: defeated

Rants/Raves:  I commute to work two hours each way by public transportation and I just don't have it in me anymore, I feel exhausted, depressed, and very much alone in all of this right now

    Questions:

GTKY: Before and after are exactly the same for me - I just want to not have to work, I'm fine keeping my tiny house, just take my stressful office and commute away

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 7/4, 31w 4d, C-section scheduled for 7/8 (hoping he comes before 7/8!)

Baby is the size of a(n): as long as a carton of eggs

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue

Upcoming Appointments: prenatal and ultrasound this week

How are you feeling?: still pretty good, but the hip pain after lying down is getting worse

Rants/Raves: DS is just so sweet. He checks to make sure I’m feeling ok and loves to talk to his baby brother.

     Questions:

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be). I’m with @gbud630... I’d love to be able to not have to work.  One income gives me too much anxiety with possible job loss, economic downturn, long term saving etc....
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 31 weeks!

Baby is the size of a(n): asparagus bunch?

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Pink!

Upcoming Appointments: monthly Weds and then starting what feels like constant appointments!

How are you feeling?: exhausted.... I have work events like every night and I’m pooped. Getting through the next two weeks will be tricky.

Rants/Raves:  see above! I want sleeeeeep.

    Questions: Nope!

    GTKY:

Before baby: pay someone to paint, haul furniture, etc. Everything I need done before actually “setting up” the house.

After: Really unlimited? Buy this old warehouse in the Finger Lakes and start a summer theater company. And move my family there for 1/2 the year.

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 31w

Baby is the size of a(n): coconut or football or Compy dinosaur from Jurassic park.

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): pink

    Upcoming Appointments: next week

How are you feeling?: 🤮🤢🤮🤢 everything hurts, I've pulled muscles from vomiting, I'm so freaking thirsty but nothing is staying down.

Rants/Raves:  rant - friend who said she wanted to throw me a baby shower has not mentioned it or talked to me since.

Rant - apparently I've been doing my SPED  paperwork wrong all year but they just told me Friday. Now I only have a couple days to fix it.

    Questions:

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

Before or after buy a farmstead and land and animals.

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 31+1, due 7/7

Baby is the size of a(n): bunch of asparagus or a foam finger

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): 💙

Upcoming Appointments: None this week, starting next week it’s 2x per week due to my HBP issues from last pregnancy.

How are you feeling?: I’m feeling not too terrible. I usually have to have DH pick me up off the ground after I play with DD. The SPD pains are manageable, but spike after I get up from a seated position for too long.

Rants/Raves:  Rant: DD did NOT sleep this weekend. It may have been because we went to the cabin in the mountains and she was in unfamiliar territory, but gah, up from 12-430 was exhausting for both of us.

Questions: My OB told me to keep track of kicks, I think she said 10 every 2 hours at least. I barely get that. LO moves maybe 3-6 times a day (at least when I notice) and it’s certainly not every 2 hours. Do you think I should be concerned at all? I don’t feel like I should be since I keep feeling him move at least a few times a day. I don’t want to be the overly worried pregnant lady either because that will mess with my BP.

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

Before: Buy and build our forever home. We’ve been looking, but they’re just outside of our price range which makes me so sad. (Especially because I would still have to work FT and not PT/SAHM like DH and I discussed after this little guy gets here.) I’d hire movers to pack up the old house AND set up the new house.

After: Maybe buy a private jet and vacation in Eurpoe and tropical islands for a while until we got bored and wanted to see family again.

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 32wks

Baby is the size of a(n): squash

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): green

Upcoming Appointments: next belly check 5/17

How are you feeling?: way tired and my vomiting has increased again 😩. Was just in evenings now I seem to deal with it more often. Tried adjusting diet but can’t figure out the trick. I’ve been having smoothies for dinner which really helps.

    Rants/Raves:

Baby shower Saturday! I wanna be excited but family drama has me kinda meh.

    Questions:

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).    I woulda went on a way more luxurious baby moon for sure! Hire help to deep clean the house and hire someone to prep meals to freeze. A new car would be nice too lol or at least get mine detailed and deep cleaned.

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days:

    7/7 - 31+1

Baby is the size of a(n):

    Bunch of asparagus

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out):

    Pink

    Upcoming Appointments:

This morning was our OB visit. Got our TDAP shots too. Next week is the 32 week growth ultrasound.

    How are you feeling?:

Tired. When I sit too long, my body doesn't want to work anymore. Trying to balance both of those things!

    Rants/Raves:

DH and MIL threw a shower this weekend, and my mother was able to attend.

I just completed my last work trip, which means I'm working from home from this point forward. I think we timed this just right as my third trimester tiredness is starting to set in.

MIL is going on a two week trip to visit relatives, and I'm looking forward to being the only one telling myself what to do for a while!

On the rant side... I had a huge snissing event this morning as I was standing in my closet trying to figure out what to wear today. Hopefully this means my day will all be up from there.

    Questions:

Anyone else having foot pain? My feet have definitely widened do much that I need to stop wearing most of my shoes.

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

Definitely buying or building our dream house, and setting up DH to start his dream job.

After baby, we would take ALL the trips. There are so many places I want to see... We would also be able to fly family in to visit us.

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days:July 4/ 31+4

Baby is the size of a(n):

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out):
    Blue (after 2 girls)

Upcoming Appointments: Thursday just a regular ob appt

How are you feeling?: I tell everyone pretty good... my acid reflux at night is horrid and keeping me awake.... if I don’t chug a bottle of water overnight I throw up every morning (which leads to peeing 2-3 times in the night) and I’m just tired

    Rants/Raves:

    Questions:

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

Before baby gets here... finish all the projects dh and I want done. We’ve been in our house about a year and it’s relatively new but we’d like to redo the kitchen and entry way floors, finish off our lowest level, and new landscaping

Also I’d really love to update our van, again it’s not that old but I know that after baby gets here it will become not a top priority 😂

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: July 3/31+5

Baby is the size of a(n): Don't remember--head of romaine lettuce, I think? Whatever size she is, it feels like her entire mass is balled up under my ribcage atm.

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Girl!

Upcoming Appointments: Had one today; have one next Monday. Two weeks ago, baby girl was measuring small in head and femur. Obv I was super worried and sad but tried to just be good to myself and eat well, stay hydrated, and not worry. She's looking much better! Still on the small side, but my doctor said not to worry, I was doing fine and baby is looking good. I'll be going in pretty regularly from here on, it sounds like, to keep getting growth scans. Which...great, I get to see my girl more often!

How are you feeling?: I had popcorn for dinner last night. Not a great move!

Rants/Raves:  Went to see the Avengers movie last night. I think baby girl is a Marvel fan because she kept kicking around at various points. So I would grab my husband's hand and try to let him feel her, and when she kicked for him he smiled so big; it was super cute and sweet.

Questions: None for me this week. @jenniferjoy37 I can't imagine being able to stay focused enough to count my baby's movements for two whole hours. Good for you if you can! I'm a FTM and not a medical doctor so obviously am no expert here, but don't they say that some babies just aren't as active and you should only be concerned if you notice a change in their behavior? I thought I read that somewhere. But yeah, definitely don't stress out! I usually feel mine moving after I drink something cold, so maybe that could work for you.

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).  I love these kinds of questions and could spend serious time dreaming things up. Boringly, though, I immediately thought, "I could pay off the house!" and then "And we could take soooo many family vacations!" Lol.

  • @jenniferjoy37 My OB has never had me count kicks. I've just always been told that if I feel like something is wrong to go in and get checked out. As long as baby is fairly consistent you are fine. If you feel like something is wrong then it's time to get checked out!
  • Thanks @Panaceia and @pizzaplz! He’s still moving around, but I’m thinking who has the time to do that? I sure don’t. But I start
going to my biweekly appts on Monday, so we’ll see if they tell me anything different!
  • @keebler6elf, YES. Especially my heels. (On my feet, not the shoes.) I read that stretching legs and hips to improve circulation would help and it has a little....
  • hakelehakele member
@jenniferjoy37 I was told to choose a time of day where she is active and take time to count 10 kicks. And as long as that was under an hour or took bout the same amount of time each day, that was good. And then if things didn’t feel right, drink something sweet or grab a popsicle or two and then go lay down and count then.
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 7/2 32 weeks today!

Baby is the size of a(n): large jicama

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue 💙

Upcoming Appointments: Friday for regular OB appointment

How are you feeling?:  very tired. Just starting to truly feel very pregnant. It’s hard to get up when I sit too long and I get winded easily walking up stairs 🤦🏻‍♀️

Rants/Raves:  raves: I had my baby shower this past Sunday! It was so nice and baby boy got so many things! It’s so nice to know he’s so loved already!

Rant: last night I had comments from 2 different random people within 10 minutes of each other feeling the need to comment on how “big” I look! Why do people feel the need to comment on women’s weight when they are pregnant! First one was- “wow you must be ready to pop!” And when I told her I still had about 8 weeks she was shocked. The next comment was “how many do you have in there?” And when I said only 1 she said she “couldn’t believe it!” 🙅🏻‍♀️

Questions: none that I can think of

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

I would love to get a new car- an SUV for when baby gets here! And all the vacations without ever having to worry if we can afford it or not!

  • @jenniferjoy37 my friend had a scan today and mentioned she doesn’t feel baby moving a lot especially comparwd to her first pregnancy and the tech said the baby was actually moving non stop the whole scan - I wouldn’t worry babys position can affect what you’re feeling and a lot of movements I’m sure you don’t even notice. I would say as long as you don’t notice anything different happening with babies movements and you have a general idea of what “normal” feels like for you then I wouldn’t worry!
  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: 31 wk 3 days

Baby is the size of a(n): asparagus bunch apparently?

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue

    Upcoming Appointments: ultrasound next week

How are you feeling?: tired, worried, in pain

Rants/Raves: had to stop working this week. I’ve been in and out of the hospital since 28 weeks for preterm labor scares. Then I had my first car accident ever on Friday. It was minor but scary. I’m trying to be positive about having extra time off but I work for myself so now we will be completely draining our savings to get by as I’m not back to work until October 1, and if this baby is full term I’ll still only be spending 3 of those months with him. But raves: the L&D nurses are THE BEST they all know me now. And I’m so lucky that my hospital is literally at the end of my street - so at times I had to go in at 1am or something I literally just walked in while my husband stayed with our 3yo.

    Questions: nah

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

Before baby: buy a house. There’s nothing around here that would allow us to be near family or keep our current jobs within an hour commute for less than $500k, even a small house like under 1200 square feet. So we are making our 2 bedroom apartment work as long as we can stand it.

After baby: be able to afford to work less. I’m a healthcare provider and even in my pre child days I could only manage 4 days/week without getting burnt out as there are HOURS upon hours of paperwork to do outside of those patient care days. Now I’ll be home with both kids on my paperwork catch-up day and I wish I could afford to cut my patient hours more.

  • gembudgembud member
@anomasqrl that's so scary, I'm glad everything is ok! I know it will be tough, but just remind yourself you are doing what's best for you and your little one

  • Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: July 3rd/ 32 weeks

Baby is the size of a(n): squash

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): blue

Upcoming Appointments: had a GD appointment this morning but completely spaced on what day it is and had to reschedule. But I go in two weeks for my biweekly visits with ob and sonos. I’ll also begin NS tests

How are you feeling?: eh sore mostly

     Rants/Raves:

rant- so we’ve had a bunch of rain down here in south central KS. Which is great. We love rain. But it’s rained nonstop and heavy all week and now my basements flooded and we have more rain coming. My toddlers could hide in the grass it’s grown so much. So today we’ve been in the basement trying to salvage what we can. Most of baby’s things were down there so 😩😩😩 I’m not excited to figure out what all needs replaced.

rave- I’ve downsized almost everything in the house and I’m just so relieved from it. My sons’ room was over flowing with toys, so much we have literally nowhere to store them anymore. Now we’re down to a few totes and it’s jot so overwhelming. Next thing on my list is to tackle all our closets again and really consider what we wear and don’t wear. I have a hefty donation pile going already but I’d like to get it down to 10 outfits a piece 😂 wishful thinking right?

Questions: has nesting kicked in for you yet? Cause it’s strong up in here 😂

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

i would want to build my dream home. Nothing huge just a 4 bed/3 bath on a good sized lot that we could spend the rest of our life in. All one level and with someone hired specifically to do all the laundry 😂 I’d also make sure it had a garage with a craft room above that could be my own little getaway.

id love to take a carefree family vacation. Just up and travel anywhere our hearts desire and we wouldn’t have to worry about what bills would have to be paid, or not, as a result after.
  • @Panaceia Love your after baby dream... I want in on that.
@gbud630 That commute sounds awful, I'm sorry you have to deal with that.
@hellmanpartyof5 Gah, I need the nesting to come back again.  I had it earlier on and now I know I have a laundry list of things that need to get done but I keep just not doing them.

    Est Due Date / Weeks + Days: July 6 / 31w4d

Baby is the size of a(n): Whatever you all said ;)

Team (Green, Blue, Pink, Finding out): Green

Upcoming Appointments: Had one today - very basic and boring checkup, which I welcome.  Doc thinks the baby has moved from transverse to head down, which I assumed based on where I'm feeling the hiccups, but was very relieved to hear.  Scheduled out my next three appointments for 5/22, 6/4 and 6/11.

How are you feeling?: Not too bad, I have definitely reached the much more uncomfortable part of pregnancy now.

Rants/Raves:  Rant: DS randomly woke up an hour earlier than normal which is very odd for him and I feel like it threw off my whole day.  Rave:  One more work day before I head to FL for the weekend.

    Questions: Nope

GTKY: If you had unlimited money, what is one thing you wish you could do before baby gets here and one thing you wish you could do after baby gets here (doesn't have to be realistic...just in a limitless universe what would it be).

Before:  Buy our dream house on a lake.

    After: Replace my entire wardrobe!

  • @hellmanpartyof5 please tell me how to downsize the toys. Please. DD remembers everything and will randomly ask for a toy she hasn't seen in like 3 years and not let it go until I find it for her. I am going to try to magic them away over the next few weeks (at least get some into the basement or MIL's house) but I have a feeling I will be fighting a losing battle and they will all end up right back where they started:/
  • @Panaceia I tried to include them in the process. We donate toys twice a year, usually right before birthdays and Christmas. They give a few and want to keep the rest so they go to grandmas for a weekend and I purge for things broken or toys they don’t have interest in. I’m totally guilty of looking for a toy they haven’t touched in months with them, but they usually forget about it after a little bit.
  • Bear14+Bear14+ member
@Panaceia agreed,  it can help to say we need to donate toys because other kids don't have any and that if she does do it, she can go to Target or a store and pick out something special. For my kids, it seems like out of sight, out of mind. As long as they don't see me getting rid of stuff, they don't ever seem to notice.
  • Thanks @hellmanpartyof5 and @Bear+ :) Because we're living with my mom we have the problem of the house being full of my and my siblings' old toys, my nephew and neices' old toys, and of course all of DD's stuff. I think I'm going to start by putting a lot of stuff in my parents' basement while she's at school and then if she doesn't ask for it within a few months then start donating things. The only up side is that I won't have to buy any new toys for DD2 for quite a while and as she outgrows things I can just get rid of them:/
